No actualy its totaly fine, the battery is insulated by plastic and the PCB ads a extra layer, you can also solder directly on a raw battery, you realy only need to be fast
There's a new interface that accesses Sony's built-in calibration software. Eliminates the need for the overlay. Not sure what the board over the battery is for. Ugh.
@@NotoriousNickNorristhe board over the battery connects the joysticks to the controllers rear buttons/paddles. Without it you can only configure the paddles/buttons to the controllers actual “buttons”.
Are these the new Jun Zheng hall effect modules and driver boards? I've istalled some of his older boards but these newer ones look better as they're flexible.... allows for easier desolder removal if the thumbstick's spring loses tention and gives the hall effect "drift".

That part where he connected to points by dragging solder... These boards are like blanks that can be installed on the ps5 ps4 and Xbox and depending which controller you doing you have to do what is essentially connecting jumpers. For the ps5 it was those two jumpers. I feel like there's way too much going on to get these joystick going but this is the way to get superior calibration on precision.... What he doest show is the jumper needed for middle pin on both x and y axis. Those are a pain to solder since the wire is hair thin.

Soldering right on top of a battery is very brave 😂
I was about to comment on this 😮😮😂😂
😂 dudes got balls doing that

Seen other videos doing it without all those xtra boards. 🤷♂️

you dont need all that, theres a tool to calibrate online after soldering the new thumbsticks
What’s the tool called ?

What are this extra boards for?
Calibration boards, fixes jitter and allows for super easy calibration. However the boards are a pain to install. Mostly the insulated pins.
the overlay is the calibration 'board'. Which is no longer necessary. The one on the back of the battery must be for the back button mod.
@NotoriousNickNorris Does the tool fix jitter as well? I bought two of each and waiting for them to arrive and install.
I like it! 😏

I didn’t saw any hall sticks with motherboard 🤔 is that something new?
For our auto-calibrating hall effect thumbsticks! Centers your sticks perfectly each time it's turned on :)
Please tell me where you got the parts
You can’t buy them retail officially, only B2B. So you would need to find a specialist shop that does it
what did you use to desolder?
he used a heat gun and a solder sucker
