PSA: It is absolutely vital you push the sticks in the correct order when calibrating i.e. Up, Left, Down, Right. There is an on-screen mistake at 3:33 that shows Up, Left, Down, Left. I’ve also found that when finished you should reconnect the controller before testing so you can see the new inputs. I hope this helps!
The explanation in this video with the manual made calibration easy. I am not sure what people are complaining about in the comments. If anyone reading this is having a hard time understanding, I think I can help. The small tapping motions are basically like "d-pad" presses adjusting the axis "positive and minus". So if you press your stick to the left and are at .9 and you tap the stick up, it will go to .91 and if you tap it down, you go back to .9. It took me a second to realize it is a manual calibration, and not just wobbling the stick to automatically calibrate. Once you understand this basic concept and have the website open, calibration takes just a couple of minutes.
Mine arrived nicely calibrated out of box but I still wanted to do this, easy to follow, and my sticks are even better than before - great stuff Hex, awesome controller !!!
what do i do if the gamepad tester webpage does not have the controller circularity display? It registers all the other inputs but does not disply those testing circles?
@@HexController wow that seems obvious in hindsight, this did the trick lol. Just confused me because its only this controller of mine which doesnt have those circularity circles in Firefox. Thank you!

This looks so rad. Just finished swapping my stuff over again to a newer board due to stick drift. Love using xtremerate parts, hmu if you need any product testers! 😂
Method 1: Follow the video tutorial and recalibrate by going through Calibration Mode 1, Calibration Mode 2, and Calibration Mode 3. Simply repeat the steps, and the recalibration will automatically overwrite the previous calibration. Method 2: Press and hold C1, C2, C3, and C4 simultaneously. After the indicator light blinks slowly three times and then turns off, you can check the joystick’s default state before calibration on the testing website.
when doing the calibration, ony meft left stick, the left side is perfectly fine but the right side is very bad. Ive done everything multiple times and its still the same
@hexgameing.Hope these values are correctly in manual instead of following this youtube guide why are the halleffects not pre calibrated because if exact values are not in manual & calibration guide the product will be returned after mid sep
I just bought 2 I got the Dream Blue for me and the Explorer Edition for my little girl. Just an FYI if you make one with much more battery life I will get that too!
Yes but I messed it up a few times. Watch it slowly and make sure you unplug Configurator and reconnect to PC before testing. Took me a while to get my head round each step
I can sympathize with the frustration. Having said that, once you get the calibration process down (took me a bit). This feature is priceless. Mine came well calibrated but after three weeks of playing, I could tell that it was out of whack a bit. I just calibrated and hopped into a game and it’s like it’s brand new and the most pinpoint joystick gaming I’ve ever seen. And I’ve played with a lot of controllers! So in six months to a year if you have to do this again it’s like bringing this thing right back to factory functionality. Which is awesome!
Ive had a terrible time trying to calibrate this stupid thing. Idk why it didn't come calibrated already. This has been a terrible initial experience. I'll try again later but right now im extremely annoyed. Edit: I have it working now. For anyone else the stick guards can cause issue in this process. This still isnt really the best experience to need calibration out of the box. For some reason my right stick was spinning quicker in one direction. Hopefully this helps as ive yet to test it after calibration.
Video makes me mad bc everyone I save the correct numbers the joystick calibration jumps all over the place drifting. In 2 weeks barely touching it bc I was busy n taking care of all my things to the upmost. I get to chill & play then it does this. Way too expensive for a product to malfunction this fast

Received mine a few days ago. Already calibrated out of the box
Do you need you calibrate it for the sticks to feel as good as it did?
I just have a question, Do i need to calibrate the controller since the first time that i will use it or just when i get issue drift ?
what do i do if the gamepad tester webpage does not have the controller circularity display? It registers all the other inputs but does not disply those testing circles?
Try switching to a different browser or even a different PC and see if that does the trick! : )

So this comes only on the one that comes with hall sticks correct?
Yes, sir!
This is a 1 time configuration or how often do I have to recalibrate it?
I’m not sure how it can be fixed but I’m having an issue with clicking in L3 or at least it seems to not be very responsive any ideas?

So with this hall effect system can I fix stick drift any range?

I want to get one but I really don’t like the back button placement, they need to make winged paddles, hopefully I can find 3D print back button mod.
@@itsyab0y I can't stand back paddles myself but my kid loves paddles if you find one shoot me the name of it please

it's the oem PS5 controller that has drift.
SONY needs to give me some tech like this or somethin'.

have you had a chance to test it since calibrating and if so, how has the performance been since?
@usmankhalid990 yes I've calibrated it. It works well, the most accurate controller I have (it's also the only hall effects)
