    It looks like the way calibration works is that the piece of metal you insert in the hole will slightly move te piece of plastic that holds the magnet to one side or another. If it can easily be moved like that, i bet it will move with time and friction against the cage and you'll have to keep recalibrating.

      @@morrisdennison8039I’ve repaired my controllers with replacement sticks but part after part are continuing to go out on the board. Finally, the A button on the front is giving out on my oldest Series 2 (oldest out of four). I’ve had to desolder-resolder new sticks onto the oldest 2, and had to resolder bumpers on either 2 or 3 of them (each time replacing both bumpers when I’m in there).
      I’m not sure what to do about the A button going out, though, and that pains me. Some people literally suggest writing over the contacts with a pencil, but I’m looking for a solution not a workaround, and it seems like not many (if any) exist.
      Long story short, It’s just one thing after another going wrong with them in time… to the point it’s almost better to just start over with a new controller. I as well am unwilling to accept it, and I’m still fighting the good fight of repairs instead of just buying another controller, but man do they make it difficult.

      Yes there are a few brands out there.
      I recently got the GameSir Kaleid Flux to use with with my P.C. and it also works on Xbox. Their controllers are officially licenced by Xbox. The price is very reasonable, £50 in the U.K.
      Nacon and Hexgaming do one for Ps5 but its pricey.
      Will never buy standard console controllers again.

    • @SzadoB
      @SzadoB 11 месяцев назад +1

      It doesn't matter, circularity is a pointless test, and jitter is filtered by setting a dead zone

    • @deathtoraiden2080
      @deathtoraiden2080 2 месяца назад

      @@SzadoB How about you don't open your mouth about things you have no knowledge of? Circularity affects precision in all games but how much it affects will vary from game to game. In the example provided in the video can tell you that the experience will vary from not noticing anything to literally being unable to run diagonally in MGS4 (if it were installed on the left stick). I can also tell you these are the exact same circularity issues (slightly less actually) that you would get from a replacement joystick bought straight from ALPS (via Mauser).
      CORRECTION: These have worse circularity issues than ALPS standard potentiometers. I get around 15% from those.

  • @Severem

    So for quick review... is there a video on how to install the hall effect sticks for the PS5? The video for calibration does not include how to actually tear apart the controller and attach the sticks themselves. Also, with the corrective board would be nice too. I have waited way too long for Hall Effect to come to PS4/PS5 and Xbox. This should scare the crap out of Sony and Microsoft because having these installed on a controller would save $70-80 in the course of potentially years. Thank you again for this info. Hopefully a full tutorial on how to put them all together would be great.

    yes,i am looking into this but the hall effect sensors seem out of stock on multiple ali vendors?? And the jun zeng's pcb boards+hall sensors are pretty expensive on aliexpress 30$ incl shipping?The hallsensor and pcm board as 1 set should be like 3$ or so as a fair price,.. (The hall sensors are like 40ct a piece and a pcm board like that should be like 1$ a piece max,so 3$ is already a 100% profit.) And to install you have to be a kindoff pro technician with soldering skills and professional gear,because many small mistakes can be made and it wont work.. Anyways thank you VK for this video,hopefully this is a solution for the billion dollar industry of stick drifting controllers,i bet sony and microsoft etc dont like these kind of engineers.Jun Zeng can be a hero for millions of gamers worldwide,if the setup works.It's just a matter of time more vendors will supply the sensors and pcm board for reasonable prices.I am gonna try it out anyway and buy it from Mr Zeng,i do award him for all the work and efford to design the driver pcb board.

      This is completely unnecessary for daulsense edge since you can just buy new stick modules for it, however with the base daulsense the only option is to completely replace the controller, these halleffect sticks save you another $75 where the edge modules are only $20 and as long as you're not literally destroying your edge $20 every other year isn't bad, but I'm not going to spend $200 on a controller I'm only going to play games casually with
