There should be a lawsuit filed against sony and mircrosoft for purposely not using this technology in their products. Hall effect sticks have been on the market for years now and they still refuse to implement these because they’re afraid of losing money, They would rather you buy 5 controllers a year that have each been dropped once or twice that dont work properly anymore so you have to get another $100 piece of junk controller from them. Its pretty obvious whats going on here, why sell 2 controllers when you can sell 50 controllers right? Anyone that defends mal practice in the name of greed has a special place in hell waiting for them. It should be illegal to sell you a product that has planned obsolescence. Plain and simple.
