I noticed this is mainly thing asian companies do. they differentiate products so newer to be better by even tweaking older models to be visibly worse in order to drive sales. of course one x 1st version would look better and more similar to x2, if they make the footage more contrasty and saturated... very simple tweak, but of course they won’t do it they want one x owners to upgrade

You mixed up the specs at 7:23 between the one x and x 2 - Its seems the x2 is on the left? you put h.265 for both, then put only 360 on the x2? and put steady cam on the x ?

I am an actor and often do chat to camera monologues and want to place my 360 camera on top of my normal DSLR but don’t want my DSLR (with tripod) in shot. Any recommended camera setups you can advise me? Worst scenario I will have my DSLR with tripod in shot but would be really cool to ensure ALL is invisible.
When the OneR came out these guys said it was the greatest thing since sliced bread. Now it’s the new release? Best thing is to wait a few months and get reviews from regular users. Or wait 9 months for the next upgrade.
@@The360Guy there are a bunch of OneR videos on Insta’s site that were produced by regular folks that the company now promotes and they look fine. People should concentrate on producing good content rather that fussing over the resolution because the resolution on all three are below what consumers desire. Perhaps ONEX users will upgrade if they feel the upgrade is worth the cost. Insta not supporting the ONEX anymore may push some in that direction. Who knows, in 9 months they may come out with a new camera and render all the existing ones obsolete the way they have already done to the ONEX. The little InstaOne seems like an afterthought as well. All that being said, I’m happy with my cameras.
Newbie 360 here. Was gonna get the one R a few weeks ago then X2 came out. I thought.... as if that is going to be better than one R. Yep it is. Key concept, X2 is a specialist 360 camera only and the best of the bunch.
One X 2 have vary good colors! But it have a lot of noisy (grainy) video quality. I think the one r is better choise with better video quality. You just have to add saturation in post production!
Yes One R Video is clean less noisy grainy in general. Sadly i scratched one side of the 360 lens. Ordered a One X2 and lens guards Will have to buy a replacement 360 mod sometime for the One R
I set the ISO manually to 800 or 400 max so that there is less video noise. Automatic creates more. The new reduce noise filter seems to work but slows export a lot. But I only shoot 360 clips under 2 minutes or so....nothing too long. I did notice that the video noise from the One R was LESS than I used to get with the One X. For sure.
If I have the gopro max, which is ok for my needs which is mainly snowboarding footage, I like the look of the insta360 software and the ease of correcting my footage, would this be a worthwhile upgrade for 360 footage?

Wait one moment, You say all three were running at the same time at the same place. Thats not true, The on X and the On X2 were running at the same time. However, the One R was not shoing the same people walking through the videos like the other two were. Whats up with that? Can we see all three on at the same time and in the same place?
I used to have the One X and now the One R and I think this One X2 is fantastic but I will wait for the next upgrade that improves resolution even if it is just a bit-8K would be great but ONLY if the footage can still be edited with an app on my iphone and the camera does't overheat etc...the app on my iphone 11 is fantastic and a lot of fun! I can't wait to try the new shadow clone on my one R! I confess that youtube compresses videos so much that evaluating video quality is hard but on this video the One X2 looks sharper and has deeper colours but this may be just in camera oversharpening and more saturation-not sure that is better...I prefer the One R. I can always tweak it in premiere with lumetri color. I may or may not get the 1inch mode-not sure. I have a Sony RX100 IV that has a 1inch sensor and it gives great footage. I want to get a 360 camera for wingsuiting (to replace my hero 7 black). However, I am a bit concerned as I am quite tall and I often bump my hero 7 off the ceiling of the plane (tiny, crap planes!). The x2 is taller than my GoPro, so I'm concerned about knocking it. Does anyone know how durable it is? And how durable the helmet mount for it is? I can't even actually find pictures of the helmet mount (I assume there is one) so I can't see for myself. I really want the x2 but maybe I should go for the one R, as it is a similar form factor to my GoPro, therefore I assume it will be of similar durability ..
In 5.7K, the Insta360 ONE X2 stops after 30 minutes of recording and then resumes recording after 5 seconds. 5 seconds of recording are therefore missing. As a result, it is not possible to record more than 30 minutes continuously. It's unimportant for some but for me it's a very bad surprise.

Definitely not better than design than One R... And yet imo not enough of upgrade compared to earlier One X.. I wish they are going to update One R family with new mods/ parts, better housing etc. And focus on there, not just making new cameras all the time with micro improvements.

One good thing with one r is that if the lens breaks you can just buy lens module whilst with x2 you have to buy the whole camera.

actually if you watch my videos on the One R I said the same thing - didn't like the design but the video was good.

The best feature of this toys is the Log File mode! Then u can grade the footage on DaVinci with VR plugging.

It can't be bendable becuase it can only be "invisible" when it's at the stitching edge where the images overlap
