had mine for 5 years and havn't used it at all as had trouble staying on and ketchn too many fish prowling banks and docks instead. but determined to get this going as lots of docks on my lake and that's where the crappie are. Thanks.

I replaced the old units on my boat with these a few months ago. Haven't really gotten them set up the way I wanted. Coming from an old grey scale unit, these are amazing with all the buttons and features. Good walk thru and very informative.
Great video and tutorial. One thing I have trouble comprehending is going to the front of the boat for fish marked on sonar after you pass them. Is the angle of sonar sufficient so the fish marked would be in that area?

If you had to get a new one due to water damage but could upgrade (due to being discontinued) the Lowrance that is damaged, would you upgrade the Lowrance Elite 5 chirp to a hook 7 or 9 or would you buy brand-new hummingbird Helix 7

No it does not matter thers a option in the unit that u can click that says flip the transducer left right for me thats what i did u can call lowrance they will help if yours is installed like mine then flip left right in menu if yours is the other way dont worry you are fine

Liked and Subbed - your teaching vids are great - Question on the Elite 7 ti - Have you installed the latest software that allows you to merge your 2D with your DI? they call it FishReveal. I've seen it on some other vids for the ti2 and they say it will work on the upgraded ti. Reason is I might pick up a used 7 ti but was kind of drawn to that feature. I can get a gently used 7ti for many hundreds less than a new ti2 and I dont think i need the Active or 3D capabilities. Thanks again for your efforts.

It doesn’t matter which way you mount the transducer there’s a button on the menu called flip right left just tap the button and it will configure your Transducer to the way you put it on
Hy You have 2 tranducers but you have only one inlet in elite 7ti so when you are using total scan you can not use 2d tranducer can you explain please how to use two tranducers in same time? I am just buying elite 7ti
I don't think you want it level with the bottom of the boat because the boat sits in the water with bow up. You need to account for this by putting the transducer in a angle to compensate for this which usually results with it in a positive angle. Just my thoughts

When they first shipped a ship with Navionics cards I don't like C map I had a c map card with a Lowrance hook2 9 that I got and I sold it as soon as I got it I would call Lawrence and Navionics and see what Navionics card is compatible . it was a navionics us canada chip
That is the only thing that I hate about Lowrance! I love the mapping of Humminbirds, and the Lakemaster Chips! I have not found a Navionics card yet that I like.

Run a nema cable to both units anything u mark shows up on both units

I fish brackish water works fine but salt water has a different transducer for the 2 d sonar its 50/200 khz the freshwater ducer is 83/200 khz

Is your transducer backwards? I thought the front of the transducer is where the cable goes in.
It doesn’t matter which way you mount the transducer there’s a button on the menu called flip right left just tap the button and it will configure your Transducer to the way you put it on

Try factory reset or recalibrate or call lowrance they can trouble shoot with u
