Hi Emily, i have a question. I used the letter press for the first time today in combination with my big shot. But I don’t get that beautiful indentation everyone is talking about. I use the 3 shims and an extra 3 peaces of paper and it is still not perfect. What do I do wrong or is my big shot giving not enough pressure. Thanks

Hi! Hmm, I'm not 100% sure without seeing it. Are you also using the Spellbinders paper it comes with?

Can we use acrylic ink on it?

Good question! Spellbinders recommends not using pigment inks, and since acrylic is a pigment based ink,
I’d say no. You can always try it, but it will result in an over-inked image. Hope that helps 😊

How do we purchase additional shims to add additional pressure and deeper impressions?

Hi Ilene! I don't think you can purchase additional shims.. but I did reach out to Spellbinders just to double check, and I'll let you know either way what they say! If you want, you can purchase their heavier weighted paper they sell, and use 2 shims to get a deeper impression, but I do know they recommend removing I think at least one shim doing that.. anyway, I hope that helps! I'll be in touch with a response from Spellbinders :)

Spellbinders got back to me and said the shims should be available for purchase soon! I’ll make sure to link them once they are 😊
