Just bought some sizzix dies & an embossing folder. Why doesn't th folder go through? They're siizzix brand,the fokder is longer than the one you're showing . It seems to be too thick to go through. Help!
@@kayequinn7146 hi! Make sure you are only using ONE cutting plate for an embossing folder & also make sure you are using the right platform (the grey only without the green piece) let me know if that still doesn’t work

You make this look so easy. I brought products to give this a try. I’m a smidge intimidated. My one question is what type of paint are you using or rather what type of ink?

How long does it take for the Tacky When Dry to dry? Mine seems very runny? Is this normal?

I have yupo and craft plastic... but do ykh know are they similar? I haven't played much with either... and your one on that black yupo was stunning as were the tulips!! Inspiring!!
Thank you so much! I think yupo & craft plastic are similar & you should be able to use alcohol inks on the craft plastic!

This is a very informative video. Thanks 4 sharing ur knowledge with us. I'm gonna get a manual cutter this week, I'll b working with vinyl though cause I'm using it for customizing certain items. Can't afford a cricut at the moment so this will do.
So glad this helped you decide! I know Sizzix has a lot of different materials as well you can use the die cutting machine with :)
Im using the thin die cuts and I get a third of the way thru and it gets really hard to turn.
As long as it’s the correct sandwiching you should be able to force it through, some are harder than others and you’ll hear some cracking noises but that’s normal 😊

Hi Emily, i have a question. I used the letter press for the first time today in combination with my big shot. But I don’t get that beautiful indentation everyone is talking about. I use the 3 shims and an extra 3 peaces of paper and it is still not perfect. What do I do wrong or is my big shot giving not enough pressure. Thanks
Hi! Hmm, I'm not 100% sure without seeing it. Are you also using the Spellbinders paper it comes with?
Beautiful colours. Little tip for you. If you spray both sides of the paper prior to starting it keeps the paper flat which really helps.

How do you flatten your curling paper to be able to use it for cards? Would love some tricks and tips.
That's a great question. For something like this, or any watercolor really, it's nice in my opinion to have that larger paper, and then you can cut it out after once it's dry. For example, I ended up die cutting out one of my Gift Card Holders and it was nice and flat after running through the die cutting machine. Then adhering it to your card with a nice strong tape also can help to flatten it out. I have a couple brands I like if you'd like links! It also can help if it's in the drying process to heat both sides of your paper. I hope that's helpful!
