Yeah you can do it in most cars but 20psi in a mud terrain soaks up the bumps real nice don't have to crawl the hole track. The river bank was very wet at the bottom he had no choice he had about 3 tries before that one.
I hear you @@ktshellboy. As a local with a lot of experience driving these roads (and also knowing how important they are to an ageing and isolated population), I guess I get protective of these roads. Driving them slowly isn't an issue. I hope your mate has learnt now how to gracefully handle a river exit. Good work on the panning. Gorgeous country.
Very true @@ktshellboy. That's a very important point. In the courses that I have done all new manoeuvres are talked through and an experienced driver leads. It's great you're getting out there. It's not my intention to harp. I am just speaking as a local who depends on the tracks in the area. Enjoy the roads. Enjoy the area. It's great to see you here and great that you want to come back. Cheers.
Why did you bother letting your tyres down to drive on a NORMAL PUBLIC ROAD? Really, that is not necessary, bloody weekend 4x4 warriors. The gold is all along the river where you were camped in larger amounts than what you would get by going to where you did. Obviously the bloke you said knows where the gold is has no clue and only goes by the stories he was fed by other wanna be gold prospectors who have no idea what they are doing. Sorry if you don't like the comments but I lived on the Property "Homeward Bound" which is on the other side of the Turon Causeway just down from where you were camped. People who think its important to let your tyres down and put the vehicle into 4 wheel drive really anoy me, it is a road you can drive a stock standard 2 wheel drive vehicle on, just because a sign says 4x4 only doesn't mean you have to put your vehicle into 4 wheel drive to drive on it, it means the clearance needed to drive the road is BEST SUITED FOR 4X4 VEHICLES. Rant over.
Looks really nice ! execpt for the Defect part
Yeah great weekend bad drive home
What tone did you leave and from where
I don't understand?
Your supposed to have your Pan the other way, your dirt will wash out taking your gold along with it those riffles are there to stop your Gold
"Putting your tyres down"? I've done this in a Ford WD Ute. It's not that bad.
Ugly work on the riverbank.
Lovely campfire.
