- Rescue 50 responding as part of the Metro-RIT assignment assisting Lancaster city Station 64 on a 4 alarm dwelling. Willow Street Fire Company.
Rescue 50 is a 2002 Pierce Lance.
No matter you age, it's always exciting to spot a fire truck
Still one of my all time fave runs of yours. I still get chills going through that last intersection and hearing that engine growl down as you pull up! As always ,Stay safe !
Love those long straight runs! And it is nice to see that all the traffic pulls off to make way! That makes things a bit less stressful!

Geez you know it's a significant call around here when you hear them change from the usual Powercall tone. WOndering how that Intersection mode woulda done through the city, too.

So how much do you cover? And are you full time or staffed part time with volunteers? And who are you in with with mutual aid? That city looked big and with a full time dept. Why are they asking for assistance on a fire like that? I can understand if it was a atactedbuilding fire like tons you drove by.

So was Willow Street originally Station 5-12? I noticed you guys used to label your units as Engine 5-12-1 and 5-12-2, Truck 5-12, Rescue 5-12, and so on.

What is the Sign "No turn on red light" meaning? is it in the US allowed to turn right while the traffic light is red? lol.
Yes you can turn right on red. Stop fist, make sure it’s clear and then turn.

50 needs a air horn or a BEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEPBEEP horn. (What do they call that loud horn that goes nawnawnawnawnawnaw that a lot of PD and some FD use for intersections??)
They may want to "clear" those intersections better to.
Sorry but I'm big on 1st responder safety.
The police horns wouldn't be loud enough bcs of the Q2B which would almost immediately drown the horn you just need some air horns

I wrote that while watching then all of a sudden, when they got into the city they started using it. LOL! But there were intersections before where I would have used it but that's just me. Good video by the way.

Dude you are driving that big ass truck way too fast. Didn't even slow down for a red light. Keep that kind for driving up and you're gonna kill someone. The seconds you're shaving off the response time with those speeds isn't worth the life of a brother firefighter or some citizen not paying attention and stepping out from in between 2 of those parked cars you were racing past.
SquirrelVision The Go Pro makes it look faster than it actually is. We would've been going no more than 10 over in some spots which is already what 90% of the traffic already does. If you're referring to the first red light as we got into the city, there is only one lane of traffic that would've been coming through the intersection, and the cars in that lane had stopped. Also we slowed you a near stop at all other intersections. If someone is dumb enough to walk out into the street, nevermind the fact that the big red truck with lights and sirens is bearing down on them, they deserve to get hit if they're not in the crosswalk. Trust me, you don't know the area like we do, and you don't know a careless response when you see one
