Same here!! I will never forget when my Sister was bitching about something and my 5 year old Nephew said Uncle Chris doesn't put up with that kind of crap... We were laughing so hard we were crying!!!
I was a senior in high school in 1989. I remember this being in theatres. I was 17 years old, so young and nothing to do but hand out with my friends at the mall. I'm 52 now, and not a day goes by I don't sit back and think about those days and how much I miss them SO much...the 80's!!
@@RaymondCarver-vy9uk I saw something on this. They just rolled the camera and the boy could hear Candy in the next room reaming her out LOL. Spielberg was big on catching spontaneous reactions from kids, he had great one in Close Encounters.
He did the right thing, his niece may be odd, but she’s just a kid and she does love her family and has good intentions. She also was placed in an overly strict school and is being stunted for being just a kid.
Rest in peace Suzanne Shepherd, most notable rolls were Tony Sopranos mother in law in the Sopranos and Henry Hills mother in law in Goodfellas and many more.
2:31 the girl next to Mazie in class is the girl from My Girl with Macauley Kulkin. Also the little kid waiting outside with Uncle Buck is so funny when you see his reaction to him yelling at the principal.
I wish I could have met him. From what I have heard, sadly he did not know or get just how brilliant, funny, skilled, talented and loveable he was besides how much people loved him. I have seen this clip many times, and I laugh every time, as well as "Whose Harry Crumb?" and all the other list of amazing movies and shows he did.
While this scene really makes me laugh, it still ends up hitting me right in the feels! A kind of mix between touched and pumped. Nobody has ever been better at that than Mr Candy! Few are even on his level. Robin Williams, Chris Farley, maybe Jim Carrey.
My sister was a tiny little thing with an appetite like a bird. One day at school dinner the teacher made her eat up all her mashed potato though she was full to bursting. My sister came home crying with belly ache and when my mum heard why she went down to the school with a saucepan full of mashed potato and stood over the teacher and forced her to eat the entire contents of the saucepan. Now THAT is a mother.
My brother got put under the teacher’s desk as punishment for something or another. Then forgotten. Mom went down to the school when he didn’t come home. The teacher was in the office. Where is my son? Realizing she had forgotten him for hours, the teacher went to the classroom. When mom found him under the teacher’s desk, she turned and confronted her. In a towering rage she told her thru clenched teeth that if she did ANYTHING to him again, she would come back and claw her eyes out. Unfortunately, my brother decided that day that he was done with school, getting in constant trouble ever after.
0:27 to 0:57 proves why we lost a great storyteller with John Candy. His reply to one who would focus so hard to emphasize a ".3" to their "reputation" only gives further proof of his role abilities. LOVED his car. It was impressive! (I had a Citation, so it blew my mind to see a car make it as far as his.....)

To the schmenge brothers (John Candy and Eugene Levi), those growths were considered a great honor in their country. The more you had, the greater the honor.
The principal at my elementary school when I was 6 was an older woman as well. The difference is she had a better perspective about us students than this one.
Highest compliment I ever received was when my sister in law told me I was the family's Uncle Buck
My friends two girls call me Uncle Buck.
That's awesome

People don't always know the simple, little things they say will have a long lasting impact on you. It's Sweet 🍭
I think there is a lot of us Uncle Buck’s out there 😎
One of the greatest scenes in movie history. John Candy was taken from us way too soon. What an amazing actor.
I absolutely love this movie. John Candy was AWESOME!!
We sure do miss you, john. You put a smile on our face with everything you did.
Don’t we just!👍🙏
Uncle Buck has always been my role model for when it comes to defending kids.

I was a senior in 89 also. 52 now, and I agree!
I am 54 and i feel you 😂
Me to miss those days anybody what to be buddies with me?
Classic scene. If only more parents were like Uncle Buck.
I was my kids Uncle Buck. I fought for them through their schooling. Stand up for your kids!!!
"He can't get the goddamn washing machine to work."😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣
"Blasphemer!" 😆
What a scene ! John hit it out of the park! The delay and response when John says….’’she’s only six’’ is amazing.
Was there anything Jon candy couldn’t do he was amazing
I introduce myself as Buck Melanoma all the time.
And if they don’t laugh, you don’t need to go further!
Melanoma Head's comin'.
I love Uncle Buck .Very funny movie.
the kid waiting cracked me up 😂
He started smiling at the term "dried up" lol. Like a kid his age would even know what that even means. Haha
@@michaeljmobley Apparently he didn't know what John was gonna say during the scene, so his reaction was most likely real.

This movie was so good! Rip Uncle buck
"Buck Melanoma. Moley Russell's wart." 🤣
Thank you. I've been trying to figure that line out
80s to early 2000s. The best decades human kind have gone through. Unforgettable, unbeatable times.
I know
The best part of the rant was the wink at the end 🤣🤣🤣
I luv uncle buck ,god rest his soul.
Jon candy was a king of comedy movies and gentalman, stripes was another great.
the clip speaks for itself
Loved this scene. Love it decades later. 😂
Dude, John Candy was awesome.
1,000 percent. Absolutely one of a kind.
This is a great scene, one of the best.

America's favorite Canadian actor of the 80s and 90s films.
Best scenes ever . EVER
Not all heroes wear capes.
Maybe cause not all heroes know how to use the damn washing machine? lol.

My favorite movie with to many funny parts to quote. I watched John earlier in his career, and he was always funny! Loved all his movies.
I love Uncle Buck ❤

Anna Chlumsky….she plays Amy Bruckheimer in Veep.

Cute story but I highly doubt that your mom actually forced another adult (the teacher) to eat a frying pan of mashed potatoes.

Buck Melanoma, Molly Russles Wart.
Classic uncle buck .😂😂😂
Super funny, my man candy
Yeah, a lot of principals are like that sometimes. She kind of reminds me of my old high school principal who was strict as hell.
Buck melanoma 😂

John Candy at his best!!!

Buck Melanoma. Moley Russell's wart
One of the best scenes ever.
Austin Powers 100% saw this scene
AND ....... the " golfing " scene with the boyfriend ........ 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bug knat do I see a little similarity here 😂
Buck has some balls to mess with Carmela Soprano's mother.
He’s got some balls saying that to Tony Soprano’s mother-in-law (look it up. It’s the same actress)
Yeah teachers are not all saints. I had a few ahole teachers myself.
moly russels wart, gets me every time
Love Mr Candy
Quarter used to be worth something
Fight for the kids

That's a pretty serious melanoma on your face

😂 as much as I love this scene we all know this only gets uncle buck put in handcuffs in 2024.
Technically no. He didn't threaten her outright (with violenc). Just insulted and yelled at her.
He sure told her off.
😂😂😂☠️
💯🤣
And just look at what our public school system has become today. 😭
Collage university
LOL!😂😅

God
Lol
I always thought the "blasphemer" thing wasn't important enough to justify chopping this scene up.
Not her wart
Why would she need to pay a rat to gnaw that thing off her face?
It's for the bus.
It's a quarter to get downtown.
It was a good scene in a great movie but making fun of someone with a problem they can do nothing about isn't very classy.
BLASPHEMER!
Buck Melanoma 😂🤣
