- Welcome back everyone! In this video I try out Live ATC courtesy of VATSIM for the first time. I fly the DA40 NG in the traffic pattern at Bradley International Airport (KBDL). 3 Legs around the pattern and finally a taxi to the GA ramp.

I used to fly on VATSIM on a day-to-day basis but I stopped for a couple months. This really was a great refresher course. Keep up the great work, you just earned a new subscriber.

Wow it's a miracle.... someone who doesn't fly this like it's a freaking arcade game from the outside view.... taking off like a rocket ship and then slamming the ground nose first🤣🤣

When on the crosswind leg you are at right angles to the runway not parallel to the runway. That would be on the downwind or upwind leg...you probably know that already though.
He meant the wings were parallel to the runway on crosswind
Just want to add that at 8:31 you are not parallel to the runway, you are in a 90 degrees angle to it.

On your first touch and go, when did the tower give you clearance to land?

was the reason that you contacted Tower instead of ground to taxi was because there wasn't ground online?
Correct. Ground wasn’t online
