Carbon Tax rebate or the "Climate Incentive Rebate" replaces the "GST Rebate" for individuals or Families who make over the Annual Income threshhold of 35,000 a year IIRC.

My husband and I eat once a day to conserve groceries so that our 12 year old has enough to eat because we can no longer can afford to buy enough groceries for all of us. That’s with two parents working… i work full time and have a part time job on the weekends and it’s not enough. My husband works part time because he can’t find another job to supplement or that is full time since he lost his during covid. It’s insane.

I was just at a resort in Mexico, it used to be full of Canadians having a good time, this year we did not meet any other Canadians staying there and even got asked by the resort staff where all the Canadians were, I told them our prime minister ruined the country and no one can afford it anymore. 😢. I paid 5$ USD per meal that would easily cost 120$ CAD and it tasted 100% better.

It's the same here in New Zealand. Our last government started taxing our farmers. Then the government started making things harder for our farmers with outlandish laws. Fuel taxes drastically sky rocketed here pushing up food prices as well. Our current government is not much better for our farmers, agricultural sector.
