I heard a lot of this elastic technique but could not visualize it in front of me. Now it all makes sence. Tomorrow I will buy some pole elastics for sure. Thanks man

I use the slide knot to mark the line length, the one that it is used in slider float fishing, I never seen the elastic method for removing the line from the clip, thank you for sharing.

cut a slit on the felt of the marker and you've got yourself a marker where you can wedge the line between and mark it real well and easily

Possibly valid idea but sounds a bit fiddly.
      Thanks for sharing though 👌

I love your videos, thanks so much for posting. I just have one query (forgive me for being old and senile) .. .. the idea if using pole elastic to assist clipping up looks interesting but I'm not quite sure exactly how you achieved this. Any chance of a close up explanation .. .. thanks in anticipation .. .. Tight lines

    Andrew. Fantastic tips my friend!!
    Q. When using pole elastic are you just trapping the reel line under the elastic on the spool only.
And only using the line clip to trap pole elastic material only? 👍👍

I don’t have pole elastic. Would 14 lb feedergum be an option?
Thanks for yet another informative video!
Loved the intro. Thought you said:

      Hi,
I can't comment on the feeder gum you have BUT the best advice I can give you - try it out. If it's not too thick, it should work. Just make sure you won't break your line clip, if it's too thick.
      Good luck 👍👍

@@AndrewsKnots, I bought cheap silicone hair (!) elastics. Put two loop-to-loop. Works great!

@@AndrewsKnots, I live in Sweden and the silicone hair elastic bands were no name. Those were the mini size pretty similar to these: www.amazon.co.uk/Elastics-Silicone-Braiding-Dreads-Cornrows/dp/B00B2A1VKU
However I have seen larger diameter hair elastic bands that should work even better. No need to use two loop-to-loop.
