Mass Effect: Andromeda is an upcoming action role-playing video game developed by BioWare and published by Electronic Arts for Xbox One, Microsoft Windows and PlayStation 4. The game is scheduled for release in North America on March 21, 2017 and in Europe on March 23. It will be the fourth entry overall in the Mass Effect series and the first since Mass Effect 3 (2012). The game begins within the Milky Way Galaxy during the 22nd century, where humanity is planning to populate new home worlds in the Andromeda Galaxy as part of a strategy called the Andromeda Initiative. The player assumes the role of either Sara or Scott Ryder, an inexperienced military recruit who joins the Initiative and wakes up in Andromeda following a 600-year journey.

It's a small thing but i REALLY love you always specify whether the vid is spoiler free or not, i'm so scared to watch any Andromeda videos because i don't want to spoil ANYTHING.
Thanks a lot!
Seems a bit inappropriate...
look sounds like stupid but i don't know jetpack button
So you put a lightning augmentation on a gun called 'Avenger' and didn't name it Thor... Missed opportunities man
BRING ME JV2017gameplay!!!
Nice to know I'm not the only one enjoying Andromeda. People have been so negative about the whole thing since the beginning, I was worried it'd be doomed to fail. Even now, people are wanting to reviewers like Angry Joe to call it the worst game of the year. This game is nowhere NEAR deserving that title. The game isn't perfect, no game is, but it's still really, REALLY good! I just hope the love this game gets eventually overshadows the ranting and raving of the unsatisfiable haters
MyGamer125 it's looking like most people enjoy it when I looked at the reviews on launch day morning (March 20th to be specific) and comments saying that the game sucks and people were worried including me but then I played the game and I liked it and then I looked at comments on andromeda related video's and people really seem to enjoy it so I'm happy that the entire ME fan base didn't rip this game appart and gave it a chance it's just refreshing to be surrounded by so much positivity
As far as I'm concerned, the ratings are way too good. The game deserves to be ridiculed and EA deserves bankruptcy.
MyGamer125 i love it so far!!!
Very useful info... I didn't know you could reuse the augmentations when you deconstruct your items... Very helpful tip... I imagine finding those back in such a vast world may be hard...
This was so useful. Thank you so much for putting the time to make this video. If I could I would give it a 10/10. Thank you.
animations are fine in most cases and sometimes they are really good and I haven't noticed this "horrible" writing and voice acting some people say is there... really looking forward to play the game.
I know, I'm 6 hours in, and it's not unplayable as people were making it out to be. The example people keep brining up is Addison, and it ain't that bad. I've seen worst chicks in real life. So far I'm having a blast.
JATR1X I agree, they all bitched and whined and made it sound like it would be impossibly bad. Yet I find its fine, sure not perfect but it isn't bad in the way that it is distracting. I would say its about the same as Dragon age inquisition but with less movements.
people love to find things to bitch about. They probably never had any intention of the game in the first place.
EXACTLY I'm so confused! The main youtube channel that started a lot of this mass effect crap talk hadn't even played the game before they made a very, VERY negative review on it!
JATR1X same here its super game am now lvl35 its rare when some thing is fuck up and what is fuck up can be patch. but kids find so cool just say this game suck like this game suck look how cool am i.
Dude you're a boss. Keep uploading and I'll be coming to you for all my tips and tricks!! Well done sir.
Excellent video, very informative! I always appreciate the quality and good info you put in your videos.
As always, very helpful JV. Much appreciated.
You by far have the best videos on this game. Keep it up man!
Subscribed. Couldn't find another RUclipsr with Andromeda tips and tricks. Thanks!
Thanks, exactly what i needed to know.
Very helpful little video, JV.
Cheers.
love your constructive analysis of game mechanics. thanks a lot!
Great work mate!
Amazing guide series
my boy jv! keep it up bro.
thanks for the deconstruct tip :) if i hadn't known about it i would have waited with augmentations until i have level 5 weapons
Really amazing guide. I'm an Italian follower. Great job on the channel, really enjoy your stream
Great vid man thanks!!
this helped 1000% thanks for the best videos.
Great job!
Thanks for showing this explanation.
great video!
Thanks for the deconstruction tip, didn't realize that
OH MY LAWD thank you for dropping that deconstruct knowledge to reuse augments. Now I don't have to save my great augs!
Great video bro tnx
thanks for vid this really helped
Very usefull info i didn't know
For those curious, to unlock the cryo pod perk he is talking about to add an extra augment slot, you need to raise the viability of Havarl to 90% (basically do most of the quests on that planet) to unlock it. It may be level locked as well (I think you may have to be like 25 to unlock tier 4 research), but to get to that tier of perk you will need to spend 3-4 cryo points in the research tree in total if I remember correctly.
JV2017 all these tips/tricks vids have really "augmented" my experience with the game :D
Great video. Thanks! 12 hours in and there's so much to take in 🤯 This really helped and so far the game is great! I don't understand all the hate 🤷🏻♂️
thank you! glad I could help :) only thing that matters is what you think about the game
I just augmented a Mattock with Disrupter ammo and electricity, named it the Bug Zapper
I didn't know augmentations were recyclable, thanks!
I normally don't watch tutorial vids for games unless I really need to or something is poorly explained in game but with Andromeda it's absolutely needed for the crafting and inventory system. There isn't much I don't like about ME Andromeda, aside from the obvious but the crafting and inventory system is confusing as hell and I'm saying that as a very experienced PC gamer. So thank you for the tutorial!
The crafting and general user interface of MEA is inadequately presented, but the framework idea is awesome. I hope they don't scale too far back in a future game. I always prefer getting shit to upgrade shit to have a customized..shit, compared to minimal options (ME2, and less-so ME3). I'm particularly annoyed how it seems in MEA I can't get deluxe edition etc weapons and armor as drops (like a trigger in the game if I have the edition purchase), and can't seem to have the blueprints to make upper versions of them :(. Hope it comes in an update. I want the armor and weapon appearances at least.
thanks I been wondering how to do that thanks brother
Great vid i finally know how to add augments to weapons!! I found it annoying how you couldn't add them to to pre crafted gear. Thanks!
Agree with Festims comment re: spoilers please keep that up
nice video
Thanks :3
we'll now that I know I can get my augment back. I'm going to go craft some weapons!
I thought augmentations were totally lost once used which is why I haven’t used them, however I do know the tip to scrap weapons and not sell, and well I don’t have a problem with cash so knowing I’ll get them back from scraping means I will now use them and if I don’t like them scrap and redo lol. 👍🏼 thanks!
Oh Oww! I hadn't realized deconstructing would return augmentations. So I've already sold off a few very high end augmentations because I got a level 3 weapon over a level 2. Damn.
Tipp for getting multiple ultra-rare augmentations (like shield oszilator): research it as early as possible, unlock the hidden crates perk with an AVP point, hunt those crates. (Got 3 in 4 crates)
It only lets you put two ultra rares on per four slots.
The Vintage Heatsink didn't come back when I deconstructed my AR...
I don't get the research for augmentation thing, augmentations can be bought or found right? In that case what's the point of doing research? Or is it that you need to unlock the research for the augmentation to appear in merchants inventory/game world? In that case it doesn't make sense...
I have a question about the remenant augment section, i got a few weapon ammo augment that buff an ammo type, does that grant the effect so you dont need a consumable or does it only buff a consumable of the buff type?
i just watched a 3 minute add. I hope you're happy
Any idea on whether or not these augmentations add damage or other attributes? IE does the electrical conduit make the unit more effective vs shields/remnant? Grenade launcher add shrapnel damage? It also seems that some augments like grenade launcher and plasma seeker alter the range and induce bullet drop...really shortening the range. Thoughts?
Okay I feel like my game is messed up because I did not have the augment options you are showing. I never crafted them previously and I can't find them now. are you able to purchase new researchable items later or something?
Can I mix and match augmentations? Like can I put a Heleus or Remnant aug on my Milky Way weapons or does that not work?
Also wanna know this
iP3RFEKTIONoO yes you can do that you can put anyone on anything
Weapon mods have certain limitations like you can't equip two of the same kind of augments. Like you can't equip a gun that turns your projectile into an electric beam and gives it auto-tracking at the same time.
is it possible to deconstruct a crafted weapon and get augmentations back or do I have to basically rebuild the weapon I want? I was originally using the Pathfinder assault rifle but I don't really like it. I built one with the Vintage heatsink so it would behave like an original Mass Effect weapon and I gave it the Homing plasma augmentation. Which is cool and all but I don't really care for burst fire weapons. So I was going to probably switch it out with a different done. Especially the Vintage heat sink. If I can make at least two weapons with that augmentation I don't have to worry about things like running out of ammo. Anyway back to my original question period is it possible to deconstruct weapons that I have already crafted and actually get my augmentations back? Now I'm posting this before I finish watching this video so if it shows up in the video and I don't notice well please be gentle ladies and gentlemen.
so you don't have advice on why I have augments that don't show up when I go to craft no matter if it's a weapon or armor... well poop I say, I already figured out the advice you gave in both your crafting video and this one on my own.
four and a half stars good sir for your video quality and well recited information.
Any chance, probably after more play time, that we could get a video detailing the ultra rare weapon augmentations and what they do?
At 6:29 What button do I press to do that? (Pulling enemies toward me, etc) it says “tsp button” but which one???
are all weapons and augmentations to research unlocked from the beginning or do you have new ones later in the game to research ?
can I add multiple same augments? did they stack?
hey JV was curious if you knew which is stronger in terms of damage the electrical conduit augment or grenade launcher.
What happens if I put an aug on let's say a researched chest piece but then later I want to research the next upgraded chest, would I have to deconstruct? Should I wait until I plateau with my armor? How does this work?
If you craft the mark 2 version of a gun and put an augment on it will it keep that augment if you upgrade the gun to to mark 3?
Where do you buy blueprints or find them in the world? I've never come across this. Everything I can develope seems like it came from the research area.
I need some help. how do I get more augmentations of the same kind? I made them in research and can't find them in Development. I can't make them now and need to know how to make them.
After 12 hours on EOS I spend about 2 hours just playing around with RD and crafting. At first it felt cumbersome and annoying but after a few minutes I was in love.
If my prima guide is to be believed then there are weapons that come naturally with more than 1 slot for augments when you don't have that perk.
Prima guides usually are based on prerelease builds so this may not be the case in the full game.
In my cycle, this would have been Mass Effect 4
Javik Man, your cycle sounds like crap.
@@LeTtRrZ lol 😂
Does anyone know how to obtain augmentations to use for Melee weapons. All the augs seem to be geared towards projectile weapons. My Kett sword has 3 aug slots but I can't use any of my crafted augs in it when creating a new one.
How did u switch viewpoints from left to right for the character? Didn't know you could do that.
If it helps, I've found augmentations when looting enemy remains after researching them. I don't recall if the enemy matched the tech type though.
4:16 ok I DON'T see any augmentation slots in the development screen. WTF? I researched and have augs in my inventory but I cannot insert them when I try to craft as those 2 slots are not appearing!
Edit: Never mind, you answered that later in the video xD.
I assume you tested if that electricity mod did more damage to shields? I never got to see it as you kept trying to do a cryo combo that never ended up working. I'm just going to save and hopefully load to that specific save to test out things
can you make a video on all the different guns? i really want to try more but don't know which ones are good or fun to use, i thought you may know more about it.
I bought the electrical conduit why can’t I equip it to my weapon I got the x5 ghost assault rifle but I’m very early in the game is thier a reason I can’t equip it
So I can create one avenger 2 with electric and then another with whatever else? Or are all my avengers now electric?
DUDE! 47 weapons, 3 augmentation and 2 mods per weapon.... my head is spining with possibilities...
side note, love ur vids. been binge watching them all day. great guides. I haven't been able to play the game all week. so now when I get home, I'm going to have a leg up on things.
thank u
I put the electrical Aug on my PAW lV , might try this on one of the slower firing high damage assualt rifles. Sofar the PAW shits on everything failry quickly.
oh, wait. i deconstruct my rifle with plasma AUG. but the plasma AUG dosent appear in my invertory. maybe its a bug, or it need to loot from the world? thx for the help. (no, i cant use the research again on plasma AUG)
There's augments that add another two mod slots.
Which one is it ?
It's called dual mod slot extension
What does a scorpion do with electrical conduit? That's what I want to know.
If I want to turn the N7 Valkyrie into a laser gun that doesn't need ammo clips, is the Beam Emitter enough or do I also need the Vintage Heat Sink?
rocketprime if the weapon originally needed clips changing the firing type will not change whether it needs clips or a cool down
How do I get that armor looking light thing that you have
So if i research a augment i can Buy and find in chests those augments But i cant just make more
Thanks for the informative video. It is really disappointing not to have the ability to augment any weapon in our inventory; some of them are pretty awesome - like I found a Reegar carbine in the chest at HQ, so I'm wondering whether it is just better to sell these weapons to get credits, or deconstruct them for the building materials?
If you want the best sort of Reeger Carbine, then you'd deconstruct any dropped RCs you obtain in loot, but upgrade the development blueprint for RG as far as you can (Rank I-X), give it great augmentations before creating the weapon (at least one Rare aug), and slotting great mods in it. The dropped weapons are serviceable for all contnet but they never have augmentations so the crafted weapons can always be better. Its just a longer-term pain to get the proper blueprints and augmentations. But the game is built to support NG+, completionism, content updates (who knows if Bioware will nerf requirements, add more options and resources), and DLC usefulness (just imagine the troves of research data they'll add..).
if i craft a level 1 gun and put the augmentation on it... will the agumentation be gone once i have the level 2 version of the gun?
Seems annoyign.
Edit, oh i can deconstruct it, now it makes sense.
Thanks for this video!!
Im hopign someone will read this...do in my development tab...it does NOT give me the option to ad ANY augmentations to literally anything... is this a bug? i just want my vintage heatsink :( ive been spending all day trying to find out
How do you develop a level 2 avengers assault rifle gun
Only blueprints I've found at a vendor were for the nomad.
i did the widow sniper with a plasma bolt that seeks out enemies :)
I have not equipped any yet, question. Can I say put the grenade launcher on the Avenger and switch from normal to grenades?
it doesn't switch back and forth. The gun just shoots grenades. I got it on a shotgun but it didn't work so well for me. Might work better on an assault rifle though.
I have been wondering for days, what is that super cool orange glowing thing on his shoulders and body that fades and comes back at times, PLEASE TELL ME
Kaleb C tech armor.
Question about research and loot, if you got a gun from the loot, let's say black widow II, do I still need to research black widow I and II if I want to research and develop a black widow III
Yup, having a weapon doesn't seem to teach you how to make it.
Anyone know how to augment melee weapons? I went to build a Cryo Gauntlet II which has 4 augmentation slots. I bought and crafted a few augments that said weapon as opposed to gun but none of them worked. It said no available augments.
I want to know this too
I have a blueprint for a Dhan III shotgun and it has 4 augmentation slots. As I played with augments to put in it was limiting which I could use, besides the obvious ones that change the projectile, other ones that you would think could work together. Anyone know what the system is here?
I was wondering the same thing. It will let me put on two ultra rares or a rare and an ultra rare but the rest have to be uncommons. I feel it may be bugged r thats just the way it is, the game doesn't explain it at all.
I really damn appreciate those spoiler free guides; keep up the good stuff my man (ノ´ヮ´)ノ*:・゚✧
All I want to know is if I can make my Scorpion richochet
The ability to add an extra augmentation to every weapon, only appears if you get the viability of Eos to 90% or more. Although a powerful ability, the difficulty of getting the viability that high will discourage most players.
Alex Law I'm already at 100% on Eos and there are still more sidequests I didn't do
First serious comment: I'm assuming you got the XBox issue fixed? Because I remember yesterday's stream abruptly ending because of that.
AnotherRandomCommenter yeah. I was also pretty upset when he had to stop so suddenly.
AnotherRandomCommenter That was a damn shame, especially since it happened so close to launch.
You would think that Microsoft would make sure everything was in order before a major release. But I guess they have better things to take care of than us lowly gamers.
do you know what sort of restrictions are on combining augmentations? Is it by rarity or is there a type system?
I've been keeping a vintage heatsink on my main weapon so i dont have to worry about running oit of ammo on the gun I use most, but I was thinking id also like to have one of the ones that modifies the damage/projectile type.
i don't get why i made a pistol with granade launcher mod but it keeps shooting as usual.
don't listen to all the hate out there, Andromeda is a great game. I've only played two missions so far and a little bit of multiplayer and i absolutely love it. Fantastic game!
I played thru the game a ton if times. Watched this in case I might learn something new. 🤔 I did not realize researching augmentations unlocks it for being found in loot. Now I wonder if it would be advantageous to only research Ultra-rare, like for max sell value, but I don't know how loot in containers is generated. Anyone know? Like would I simply be denied items I haven't researched, like you end up just finding less items in containers.
The game doesn't let you combine certain augmentations but I'm not sure what the rules are. I have a blueprint for a weapon with four augmentation slots, but I don't know the different types. There has to be at least four types or there is no point to having four slots.
How do I use mods I get for weapons????
