Thank you for putting together a wonderful post. Excellent lighting, sound and story, your post is the best crafted one I've seen. I'm a London street photographer and I need to crop. I bought my X-T1 and grip in February 2014, followed by seven primes and two red badge telephotos. Then I added an X100V, where my picture taking went through the roof! I need to crop, I passed on the 2, 3 and 4. After waiting nearly 10 years, my silver T5 order is in. I bought an H1, grip and three batteries during the price drop - why wouldn't you. It was a steal. You keep posting and I'll keep looking.

Literally what I’ve wanted for a long time from Fuji. I owned the XT3 a few years back and it ticked the boxes for me with camera ergot’s, controls and that sensor(and the Fuji colours SOOC). The XT4 came and gave us the IBIS but snatched away the XT3’s better tilt screen. The XT5 is the marriage of the XT3/4 and then some.

Awesome review. Love how you brought the feeling of shooting into the mix. Today everything is about getting the sharpest picture, the fastest way so that you can just keep taking more of them. Slowing down and enjoying the art of photography is so easy with Fujifilm. Photography should evoke a feeling when you see an image. It takes time to create that. For me, slowing down, has helped me see all the aspects of a photograph before I even put the camera up to my eye. Light, color, composition and mood. I loved your video.

Thank you for this video on the XT5. I love my Fuji cameras. I bought my first, the XT1 in 2014 and grown from there. I have an XT2, and last year, bought the XT4, which I love. Though not so hot on the articulating screen. I've been looking at videos reviewing the XH2 and S. They both look incredible. And I like the idea of the faster memory card. But the lack of dials and photography user friendlyness has been a sticking point for me. You video has just cleared up my decision on my next camera. Though not just yet. I'm still just warming up with my XT4. J :-)

I loved your production style in this video. Great music selection and timing. I watched your 3 Astro photography videos from 2 years ago (again) and wondered, how you are doing. And I watched a dozent of X-T5 videos recently, since I really thought about upgrading from X-T4 to X-T5. You reminded me, why I switched from Nikon to Fuji in the first place and what I dislike on my X-T4. And you convinced me to really get a prime lense. Right now I have a 18-135 and a 100-400 for Landscape. And I guess, I "have to" upgrade to a X-T5 😉

Very nice, concise review. I share your sentiments regarding the Fuji X series handling and rendering of images after buying a X-T4 and few years ago and shooting everything with a 35mm f2 lens. The X-T4 completely reignited my love of simply getting out there and shooting with a small, lightweight camera that emulates the handling of a 35mm ...compared to my previous and somewhat clinical 'brick' of a camera from another leading brand! I just wish I'd made the change years before. While the improved sensor of the X-T5 is very appealing, the revised screen design and supposed AF improvements will be a deal breaker when funds allow.

As someone not particularly familiar with the Fuji system, I have a question: when you say your shots were straight out of camera, does that mean you were shooting jpeg? I'm saving up for my first camera and at this stage have my eye on the xt5. My only concern is how it handles low light, specifically for astrophotography as I've heard the 40mp creates more noise. Would love to see a video testing this camera out for low light/astro capabilities against maybe the xh2s or xt4.
Btw LOVE how scientific your channel is!

There is a bit of that info around but I can tell you it does a fantastic job for Astro.
But there aren’t many lenses that work at 40mp and also are great for astro, most good astro lenses would give you a 30mp ish looking photo

I just got my hands on an XT5 and it looks great with the retro design and dials. That being said, I managed to get a feel of the XH2 in the store and it felt much more comfortable and better to grip - more natural in my hands.
I’m new to Fuji and photography so I don’t know if dials or PASM will be better for me as as a beginner to learning photography. I do understand why still focused shooters would prefer the tilt screen, but I also feel that the articulating screen is more versatile and being able to rotate it inwards to protect the screen when not in use is a bonus.

I owned both xt1 from new as I was so bored with my Canon outfit, coming form a Pro Lab background I instantly fell in love all over again with photography after a long stint sitting in the shadows. I then picked up the xt2 shortly after but stuck with that for many years as its been good enough for my 'in camera' training of the good old days of the 1990's in a darkroom environment. Think I'll jump to the xt4 as I have always purchased a vertical / power Grip with all my pro gear.
Anyway I get EXACTLY what you are saying, it's why I'll never go back to ANY other camera system and that says alot being a MASSIVE Canon man in the day, however now that Canon has bought eye control back that is very tempting as I owned the EOS 3 in 1999 and loved it especially for Wedding work

Watched many videos (not convincing) debating between X~H2 and 2S… Your video now takes me in a totally different direction! XT5. When I started my photography days 1980 with my Pentax K1000… and now A6RIV, your video rang the bell 🛎️ I never asked myself. I love Photography more than video (for that I have the A7Siii) tough to beat. Love photography, but SONY menus suck… cumbersome digital experience, miss the simplicity if K1000 . XT5 could be the answer??? I assume there are the Fuji film simulations available. My concern… if I get (3) lenses which ones to get(?) as I’m scared of APSC (visually gauging ). I want to have fun again shooting photography. Thoughts ? I just subscribed as I think tomorrow I’ll get the XT5. BTW… how is the weather sealing? Really? Light rain, snow, fog ?
