Quality mate nice one for sharing this
That’s how I used to do it as well. Nice vid
Thank you for sharing!
Nice one Sharky. I’d do it exactly the same.
@shark scaffold I have so much respect for you scaffolders now I put my first one up for my self same size as video I am fairly strong but it was hard work you make it look easy
Thank you sir ❤️
I have frame and brace scaffolding but need to cantilever out 48". Can you combine components of the tube and clamp with the S-style frames to do it?
If I’m on my own I’ll put me sprags straight on swivels so me taker is straight in
As some one who did 10 years on the spanners from age 25-35 ....now 59 , i love watching you work ! Just one question though please.....why no base/sole plates ? keep up the great work and be safe up there. Ps , if i lived closer , i would offer my services as a yard boy. Ps , i just googled your level ......how much !?!?!😲
Your some grafter mate not many of yous left. 👍
👍🏻
Can you just use 10ft standards bolted together to make them 20ft as my van is not big enough for 20ft poles
Is there a handy way to start a bay on your own without something to lean it up against?
Been waiting on this one ! My guy 💪🏼. PLEASE BUY A NEW TAPE😂😂😂😂😂
Keep it up son
More chimney work
felgemacher Masonry and chimney
Heres my two cents. measure the bottom, then rather than measuring yer pinch rod and sticking it in at waist height, stick it in at ledger level (either as an aberdeen or transom) and then level your standard (from the point your measured out at the bottom). Diagnal and upright temps in then bosh... faster and yer bend doesn't twist up everywhere when ya start tying things off not straight
Base plates ??
What would you do if it was for a rendering job and need a gap between the wall and scaffold?
No inside board. And nothing touching the wall
I was taught a completely diffent way to base out, maybe your way is easier when youre on your own but it seems to add steps and cause issues we dont come across...
i see a lot of scaffolders using fittings/pins that are very rusty. what do you use to keep it from rusting together and seizing up?
Your meant to use some kind of lubricant, but constant use keeps them from seizing 👍🏻
Great, thank you @@SharkScaffold
I know nothing about scaffolding and this was really interesting. Quick question- what height should you tie it into the building?
Once every 4M ( Vertically) is AUS/NZ standard not sure about UK
You never put any tie tubes in on doubles .. ever ? Litterslly jus a few braces holding it all together ?
I gave up scaffolding 1 year ago. Yourcmaking me wana hump back on the spanner 😂.
From Donegal , Ireland 😎👍
👋👋👌👌👌👌
Whats the typical height between lifts
About 6ft (1.8m)
@@SharkScaffold so that's ok for say plasters working, etc
@GK-fq3cy 2M is standard lift height
Can you make a video about RUX scaffolding?
What’s that?
@@SharkScaffold i work in Poland and our firm uses scafom-rux type of scaffolding
@@Love-ty8wn well we ain't in Poland are we!!!! Some one from the E.U gonna have to show you son!
@@minderkid201Poland runs the U.K.
@@LiClan nah the Romanians run the construction game now after we fucked off from the e.u to get away from you guys!!!!!!
@shark scaffold what should measurements between ledgers be
Depends how many boards wide. 3 boards wide (24 inchs inside to centre). 4 boards wide (33 inchs inside to centre). With those measurements the toeboard would sit on top of the boards.
5 boards wide (42 inches inside to centre) if you want toeboards to sit on the transoms just add 1.5 inches to those measurements.
@@SharkScaffold I mean upwards like first one how height off floor and then measurement to next one
@ryno8547 it can be what ever you want. Normally it’s 2m
@@SharkScaffold thank you
No baseplates? No problem 😂
Jobs a full board out on the 10th lift? No problem! Just jump on it until it fits
Is that in Lesbury mate?
No it was miles away, in a place called Fontburn👍🏻
@@SharkScaffold I’m sure I’ve been there when I was a kid fishing. If I’m not mistaken there’s a reservoir there that you can catch trout in.
Good video as always mate and get your fittings sorted, they look like you’ve picked them off the bottom of the Tyne lol
That’s the place👍🏻😂
Why do you not have a safety hat on at all times a done scaffolding for 13 years and couldn't be on site without one love watching your videos right enough but safety first bud
Those fittings will snap soon if not oiled,.
Would be careful uploading videos of yourself without harness and helmet. Other than that. 👍🏻
You should use dog bones easier on ya own
Less measuring less fittings win win and easier too base out he could do so well with bones and a labourer
Wtf
