I would want to, but I’m Black, so no thanks!
You do realize it’s Brittany Spears
the_deppresed_dinosaur s you do realize they’re whole band is supposed to be symbolic of the 60s...
Finally back to 60s sound. Great cover and keep working that style. Love it. Thanks
Nice work ! Great-reinterpretation, sweet sounds coming from that Jaguar-& from the Strat, too. Great recording. You guys are fabulous 🙌 Thank you for posting this !
why is no one talking about what a kickass name ‘surfrajettes’ is
The Surfrajettes is a kickass name.
:P
Der deutsche Name wäre Blaustrümpfe, falls es jemanden interessiert.
Correct!
I hope they don't get into trouble for being politically incorrect. It took me a couple of days to realize it was a play on words from "suffragettes" the women who fought to get the right to vote. I don't think Susan B. Anthony would be amused by the name or the attire.
They'll be fine. So long as they're doing what they want and not dancing to some dude's tune it's all great.
What the Charlies Angels remake should have been..
It would have ended up as the weird one of the bunch so no
Yeah still wouldn't help
It's so good! Apart from what everyone said, I love that while the video is obviously homemade and that lighting wasn't professional by any means, you all had great hair and outfit on; I also love that you didn't hardcore PERFORM but kept it very chill and just seemed to have a great time. All that combined was just magic
Victorianme agree. I think drapery sheers would have chopped the harsh lighting down. But pretty decent for what I'm guessing is a consumer camera.
In a way that lighting kind of gives it a fresh look. I'm ok with it
They look like arianas grande
Did not know that what i needed in life was some britney spears surf style ! 😊❤❤
I am TOTALLY in love with this cover!
TheGuitarGeek I’m in love with what’s under the cover 😉
maidenrulz73 😒
Forget cowbell, you can never have too much reverb.
Also I hear their amps go up to ELEVEN!
@@andreshernandez1180 Those Excelsior amps are sweet. No numbers on the Vol but the reverb knob goes all the way to the top.
Z4Zander the excelsior doesn’t have reverb
My bad.Tremolo it has. There must be a thing about the badges coming off.
Ryan Street, i got fever, and the only cure is more cow bell
Cover? Great.
Living room? Rad.
Style? Amazing.
Band name? The best.
Hotel? Trivago.
LOVE 💕 IT! Brought me back to the 60's 😂
That danelectro bass❤️
I know. My dream bass 💖
Yes and the beautiful creature playing it!!! Whew!
The Radar Love bass.
That jazzmaster!
The bass player has got a great groove. I'm infatuated with her playing.
And she looks like a Romulan.
Completely agree.
She is amazing
Im more interested in the blonde
I think she’s the leader. She’s the most prolific of all the players.
"Ladies, we need to stop the studio session. Central Command has a special assignment for you deep in the USSR."
(*girls grab pistols*) "Let's go, team!"
I'm from USSR. Such a good ladies are always welcome!
Thank you for this comment, LMAO.
Now THATs funie, rite thar!
Perfect 👌🏻 Just like In Like Flint!
Totally!
first record I ever bought about 60 years or so ago was the Ventures, thanks for the flashback lady's, you definitely nailed the sound, the look, the whole vibe ,very cool and well done ,thanks from an old surf music geek.
I am not sure how I stumbled onto this, but I sure am glad I did. The attention to detail is stunning. Well done on the costumes, the sounds, the room, everything. Nicely done!
Feel like I'm walking into a Kill Bill movie
Linda Kloss YOU TOO?! 😂😍
Linda Kloss WHOOOOOOOOO WHOOOO WHOOOO
Linda Kloss or taking a trip down Pulp Fiction lane again!
The 5's-6's-7's-&-8's
You're so right 😂
That bassist is vibing so fine!!! Absolutely love her
yeah she has the moves and is really into it
Could not stop watching her after seeing your comment!
she is in another band where she sings and plays upright bass with her husband. it is good stuff as well
@@tobiasrichardson4574 at least tell me the name of the band :))) don't throw the bomb and leave me like that
@@delioaraciubotaru SO SORRY!! lol i figured it mentioned somewhere here. The Millwinders is the group she and her hubby are in. Her name is Sara Butler. same last name as Black Sabbath's bass player, lol. ENJOY!!
Bass is totally grooving on the vibe of everyone else. Masterful. Respect. Can't wait to catch a show. Ya'll are inspirational!!!!
I keep returning. The chemistry you all have is pretty sick to watch. This grom digs the waves yall vibrate.
That bassist is crushing it
Yes! And forgive for insisting her amp should always be in the video, which you don't see here.
Looks like her face was crushed. Sorry 🙄

i ADORE people with vintage aesthetics during this time. i’m obsessed with old 60s-70s music but i also love Britney so this was a blast to hear.
Wonderful interpretation. Modern tunes with a classic spin. Freakin’ awesome! I’m in love!
I'm not all that familiar with Britney Spears music, was this some type of cover they ^^^ were playing??
@Gary Jackson Thank You for the information.
Gotta love the Dutch furniture of that time. Real wood? Anyone remember real wood? Great stuff, but rare these days. I had a plastic clock that had a sticker on it that read : "Simulated wood". At least they were HONEST!😬
💯❤🤙
The Fender Excelsior Deluxe amplifiers look and sound great for surf music! Truly a low-cost gem of an amp.
Got to love the vintage baby blue amplifiers and the 1970’s Ludwig’s
Bass player even plays a reissued Danelectro.
Agreed - had to search for it... the Fender Pawn Shop Excelsior Guitar Combo Amplifier
That dan electro bass was my focus. Best shape for a bss in my opinion.
Michael Phillippi those Fender pawn shop amps are cool, though not vintage. A vintage tone, but they were made in 2010ish.
Eso mismo iba a comentar, parece un vídeo de los 70's
You are dressed like british secret agents infiltrating a moon station.
Now the Moon will destroy us. Thanks a lot, buddy.
Reminded me a bit of Space 1999 or UFO when you said that. But most of all given their outfits I think Moon Zero Two.
I like everything about y’all. Logo, the name, the hair, outfits & boots. And especially the Music !! I work in a very busy auto repair shop in Houston. Thanks to Amazon music and an excessively large stereo sitting on my big ass toolbox your music is blasting every day for the past three years.
That’s living Teddy. Well done
you all*
Y'all? Is that a word or a burp or did you just fart. You all... Collective pro noun
@@ballardfrogmanOr you know... a local contraction common to the vernacular or geographical area. I got out of mocking people for the way they talk once; I got into higher education, became a more openminded person, and was exposed to people from different parts of the world, really make y'all seem narrow minded and not willing to be inclusive of a persons chosen way of talking, when y'all decide to go down that route.
@@smithyMcjoe Well said. Once I stopped ridiculing people for their imperfections, I learned that many of those folks I previously antagonized had skills I needed to learn like HVAC, electrical, plumbing, welding, automotive, woodworking, small engine repair, etc. It's opened up my world and expanded my understanding a great deal.
They are some unit those girls! wow! everything on point bass drums guitars matching white boots
I feel like I just got transported back to 1965 with the outfits the hair the room and the music. Love it.
The gogo boots are so cute
Sabbrejetess...Wicked World...Pleez Shermey?
Need me a cross-over/collab with The Surfrajettes and The Regrettes lmao
This was really good though. Showed up in my recommended and already in love 👌👌
W H O L E S O M E THE REGRETTES ARE SICK I SAW THEM 2 WEEKS AGO
hells yeah!! that's what i thought as soon as i saw this vid
The regrettes slap
Omfg yes
The surfregrets
Gosh darn this is great. It’s both funky and haunting at the same time.
imagine this filmed with a vintage 70's camera. this is everything fr 😍
YESSSSS
Story:
“In December 1969 the popular girl group of 1959 - 1967 The Surfrajettes come back together to release their final album in February 1970 “Toxic Love” known as one of the greatest albums of all time, this is that story and how it ties in with the catching of The Birdman Killer and 420 pounds of cocaine being spilled down all over a small town in Kansas”
I love your comment! My brother was a nominee at the Oscars a few years back for his sound-editing on the film The Shape of Water. If I go into films I would strictly use older cameras. He says that everything is digital now and I think that's sad.
