In what category would Middle Eastern people fall? I feel like Americans often overgeneralize them and don't even put them into their own category. Also I think the image of them is quite different in comparison to Europe. In the US, Middle easterners are probably viewed as exotic and would fall in a similar category as Latino. In Europe however, muslim people have a much worse image, although most of them are 'technically white'. There are a lot of Middle eastern/Muslim people where I live, yet its almost impossible to find a White girl that would go for one.
In Greece, Italy and Spain etc. middle-easterners can blend in. Not in Scandinavia, parts of Russia or a lot of Central Europe though. They are way too swarthy looking and often accentuate their features with a beard. They fall into caucasian phenotype categories but not what people would ideally consider white.

My own take is the global media domination by white people (mainly from the US like Hollywood) which shapes people's perception of beauty and which has been going on for many decades. The moment that you are born, you are exposed to white beauty standards in the media. Never underestimate the power of media. Take the Korean wave for example. The Korean wave (which is still ongoing and growing) is a lot shorter in duration as compared to that of Hollywood but it has already created a huge global impact on the perception of Korean/East Asian men in the eyes of non-Asian women. Women who were never interested in Korean/East Asian men were suddenly crazy over them. If the Korean wave were to continue growing and dominate the world like how Hollywood does for many decades, you would definitely see a noticeable and significant shift in the perception of beauty and preferences.
Its only true for certain areas. I am hapa, if I went to Thailand or some US state like Virginia, Kansas, or New Jersey, I would not at all benefit from the "Korean Wave" nor would any E.Asian guy, since K-Media is not big in those areas.

Attractive people from other races have no issue, and unattractive white people struggle despite being white. I don't think being 'white' itself gives any advantage. White men are 2-3 inches taller (on average) than Asians and Indians which is probably the biggest factor going into there being a higher quantity of attractive white men than other races

1. Majority of the indian population is not on Tinder. Mostly women who are on tinder are either genz, forward thinking and very open minded. The indian culture is not equally open mindedhence they would prefer foreigners who they believe are culturally more open minded like them. However open minded they may be, they still seek courtship, dates and classy romance, like any human.
