you deserve a medal for shooting this video in the extreme heat of the day during rainy season. I would have been soaking wet with sweat climbing up those hills. very good location where you finally viewed the 3 units... next to the church and Plaza Hidalgo and only a few blocks to the Ley grocery store. when I was staying in PV near El Mirador I walked by this area all the time to get my groceries. I also like all the shops and restaurants on Ave. Mexico. I would consider the largest apartment for sure in low season. the rooftop terrace was a nice feature. the high season prices end up being similar to Air BNB rentals. p.s. - most of those people you see sleeping in the road or sidewalk are homeless. I'm not sure if they would look at it as a simple life.
My favorite neighborhood downtown. Next to the apartments is a nice little pub/restaurant. Lots of taco stands and restaurants. Nice little fish market across from Casa Ley Supermarket The views from the upper streets are gorgeous. Walk up Calle San Salvador towards the cemetery, there’s produce, meat, fish markets… the Mercado Del Mar 5 de Diciembre.
Hola Larisa, I ve been watching your videos in Puerto Vallarta. You mentioned some houses for only $40.000 dollars for sale. I would like to know if you can share some pictures and location of them. Thank you
@@myriampatriciarobles There are many opportunities for around $40,000, most I have seen need work. I wasn’t speaking of one specific one. Check out FelxMLS Vallarta for more info. If you need a realtor referral plz let me know via email. Thank you for watching.
I admire your persistence and tenacity when searching out the properties. Guess those owners of the first two rentals were taking a siesta. Always enjoy your videos. 🙂

really enjoy your channel Larissa! I am a single older women with a small dog, from Calgary looking to relocate to Bucerias, but having a hard time finding an affordable long term rental in the area. I know I probably have to come down, boots on the ground, to find an appropriate rental. Please keep doing these videos, they are very helpful.

Small dogs are easier to take care of, but many condos do not permit dogs and even older residents that still have a dog are discouraged - they don't like exceptions to the rule even if it is "grandfathered" in. I like dogs and will accommodate them - good owners take care of their pets. I usually ask locals to get me a place during off season when lots of places are avail. I think pet owners are usually good people, so we rent our vacation homes to pet owners.
I have myself visited some excellent places near that church. My problem will be finding a place with perhaps a patio or courtyard for my dogs. My Mex. street dog would be barking at those sleepers on the street - she doesn't like the beggars perhaps because they were not nice to her when she was a starving street dog. Maybe a house back in the neighborhoods or even along the river or by the jungle, too. There's lots of nice choices in P.V.!!!!
Remember everything is negotiable, if you work out a longer contract for 6 months or a year, you can also get the rent at a lower price, most landlords want a deposit plus first and last months rent upfront, so keep that in mind, also check the faucets sinks and toilet to make sure they flush and run properly, do a thorough check before you sign any agreement. I am interested in places that allow pets, so many do not. Great video btw.
One thing to consider, if you like to sleep in, the church starts ringing their bells pretty early. (I live a couple of blocks away). Great neighborhood, easy bus access, proximity to the beach, I could go on and on!
Your right about the church , the bell could wake you up early , I didn’t think about that ( I am early bird, doesn’t matter to me) but for other people it could be a big deal. Thank you Thomas for your comment:))

Looking forward to your adventures! I stayed at the hotel Marlin and up in the mountains for 4 months in the late '80s! The Marlin was $11 a day and it was on the ocean I think actually it may be a block away from the ocean now they built a road, the room in the mountains was $3 a day! It was all locals and a half a million roosters. It was one of the best times in my life :)

I sure would like your advise or recommendation where are the affordable places to rent or even to buy a Condo because I am looking to retire there soon. I am familiar with the town of PV, been there few times. I understand they are constantly building new Condos but rent is hard to find. I will be staying in the Romantico Zona for now and move around. Thanks for the tip to buy a Mexican cell phone at OXOX, who knew you can buy it there, any more tips for this guy please shoot them my way. Cuidate Y Disfruta todo!

I have 3 old cats soil I have to I could get an unfurnished apt. I really need to find an apt since currently lease ends the first week of May! I could pay for any repairs needed or I could pay $100 extra every month. I want a long term rental so the ! 12 extra dollars 2200 extra
could help with the cost if necessary. Thank you. So the low prices in low season would really help if the low season apts are700 usd that would be perfect. M getting married qnext year too so she will have more income to contribute to the extra fees.
Hello Larissa, I’m just getting started watching and considering moving to Mex. I have some experience in Mexico as I’ve been to a number of areas surfing and exploring. I currently live on my boat here in SoCal and was wondering if you have any research on living on a boat in the PV marinas. Just subscribed to you channel, really enjoy your videos. Hope to hear back, thanks. Mike
Hi Mike I’ve met a couple of people here who live on boat and travel , but unfortunately I don’t have any detailed information about it. Maybe one day when you come to PV I make a video about it:))) Thanks for watching Michael 💥😊
I guess it is typical for owners to raise rents during the high season, but is that something they document in a lease? I guess you need a translator to review leases. Also, do people move around if they don’t want to pay increased rents? How long is typical lease?
Yes, you have to read and understand lease, it’s important. In most cases it’s in Spanish and English, but not all . Long term rental is usually 6 months and up to one year.
Fabulous info Larissa ! Do you have any ideas about weekly rentals in Bucerias for December 11-18? Hopefully we can get together when we’re there....Nov 27-Dec18. Also, any info regarding PCR tests and prices available in PV?
