Amorphis has been one of my favorite bands since I saw them live at the Metal Meltdown in Asbury Park, New Jersey back in 2001. Their newest album is one of my favorites however the album Tuonila will always have a special place in my heart. Back in the day I too wasn’t so into death metal vocals, but then I discovered the Gothenburg scene of melodic death metal. After I discovered Opeth it was over.
