Ah, more Finnish metal greatness! Told you there's more than Nightwish (a lot more). Anneke van Giersbergen has worked with many metal groups, including several albums with Devin Townsend (for which I've made some suggestions...). Amazing female vocalist.
Amorphis to me is like Therion in that they are hard to pigeon hole, you never know what you are going to get, they have a gazillion albums, they are important bands historically, and they kick ass
Tomi Joutsen is such a perfect vocalist. :) Really love his voice. But you could also check out something from Pasi Koskinen, the former singer. Try "Divinity", "Alone" or "My Kantele". Or some of the even older stuff where Tomi Koivusaari (with Ville Tuomi), the guitarist does the vocals: "Black Winter Day" etc.
This song is awesome and Your reaction too. It's very good mix heavy and "light" sound. Anneke sing in background. This song take inspiration from finish mith (the bee is a character who give a life). Try song Amongst stars (with Anneke) or death of the King.

Ah, second Amorphis, good!!! Then if you take from same album song "Amongst Stars" with Dutch vocalist Anneke van Giersbergen. From that album they made 3 videos, so you have seen one and this could be a second one. Really like how Tomi Joutsen do both growling and clean vocals, he have really good voice. Normally I don´t like much growling, but his growling I like. Also how Jari Mäenpää from Wintersun is doing, it goes... This year should have been Amorphis 30 years anniversary year. But, life don´t always go as you wish... They had a plan to do some places, like here in Helsinki, three nights is a row concerts. Every evening different decade music! Like 1990-1999, 2000-2009 and 2010-2019. This is re-scheduled and will happen in October if everything goes well. And then, you live in Germany, if I remember correctly? Next Fall, November-December Nightwish have their European tour and they have totally 8 concerts in Germany, with two support band. Aaaand the other one is Amorphis! So, you could get with one ticket those two bands!
Amorphis is one of those bands that gets better with age. They just keep on bringing out such great music. Anything off the album Skyforger is great (my personal favorite). I suggest Silver Bride or Sampo. :)
If you want something of there's similar to this song, try "Under The Red Cloud" or "Bad Blood". If you want something more like the other song you reacted to, I suggest "The Wanderer".

This is a song originally written and performed by their former vocalist (so mb check out the music video version of it first) and he did a great job with it, and then Tomi takes it a step further in that live. Actually the whole Forging a Land... show is awesome. Hell yeah more Amorphis! :D

Have to agree, i've seen them so many times i don't even remember every time and they are always a blast to see, if they are at a festival i'm at i'm always there, kick ass show guaranteed with this band. Don't like them on album though.

The techno opener of this song is what they used to open their show on the tour for this album (along with this song), it's pretty bad a#$ for ramping people up for the show to start.

YES!!! Amorphis :) Call me crazy but I guess my favourite record of them is still Tuonela. But Queen of Time is a close second.
They keep producing great music but yeah Tuonela will always have a special place in my heart.
