There certainly can be a wide variety of valid opinions regarding the instrumentation, among other things (such as the amount of mic handles). The flute on the recording was played by Chrigel Glanzmann from the Swiss folk-metal band Eluveitie. They've performed together live on various venues. I somehow loved the sound of it all from the first time I heard this song, but, then again, my opinion would never be quite worth $25.

That whistle is replicating some kind of flute. I saw a live version of this before where they had a guy actually playing it. Looked like something Nightwish would pull out on stage. Not sure what it’s called.
They have a lot of catchy songs and some that are kind of boring. A lot of reactors start with their song the Bee but didn’t want you to be all over the cringy lyrics. We can do that another day. 😀
First time I heard them was from a guy I worked with who told me to listen. It was their older stuff which is very different. The stuff i heard was haunting. But I prefer the newer stuff. Although doubtful I can go through an entire album start to finish.
They also worked with Anneke who you saw in the Devin Townsend video (tomorrow’s reaction) but that song is even more “commercial” sounding.

IDK why I'm writing this but I get this vibe from the guitars & drums together, like a heavy Nickleback with growling and would put this in the music for driving category.
