    I have tried to germinate kiwi seeds several times in the past with no luck. Cleaning off the seeds and leaving some air in the ziplock bag seems to have changed my results. Continue to try & you will find success 🥝!

    Try the round seeds and elongated seeds. They will give you male and female plants.

    what place did you store the seeds for germination?

    I guess I'm lazy I just sliced up a kiwi into thin slices and threw it on some containers with some good soil and put a little sprinkle on top and they all sprouted I didn't do any of that other stuff.

    This is so inspiring. I've tried to germinate kiwi but had no success. I will try again as you show here.😜 Thank you for sharing!💕.

      I totally recommend this method! Worked very well for me several times. Germinating was simple, now I just need to get them to stay alive 😅. The first time, they were doing great and as soon as I was getting ready to do an update, I realized I didn’t water them constantly and they died. Then I tried again, and I put them in a very warm window sill ... maybe a little too warm and they died. But germinating like I did in this video definitely works. Just water constantly and place in a warm but not too much window sill 😊

      @@cactusandfriends_by_vane I really appreciate your kind words! If I may, can I ask for a favor? At the moment I only have RUclips as a platform, and I’d really like to continue growing this community. If you have any other social media platforms like Instagram or Facebook, would you so so kind and share this channel? Maybe even just a video you think your friends may like.😄

    Hi, thanks for your video. Did you stratify the seeds in the fridge for it to germinate?

      Hi 🙋‍♀️ and thank you so much for watching, I hope you consider subscribing!
      No I did not stratify the seeds. I simply took them out of the fruit and cleaned them well, placed them in a damp napkin inside a ziplock bag and thats it.!

    Great video
    1 question do you get the same kiwi fruit on it as it’s grown from seed?

    • @FarmLifewithKids

      Hi thanks for watching!
      So kiwi, much like apples are not true to type. This means that you’ll get kiwi but it may be a different variety of kiwi than the one you harvested the seeds from. It’s kind of a surprise when you grow kiwi from store bought fruit, you don’t know what variety you’ll end up with. 🤗 I enjoy it anyway.

      That’s realy cool it’s like a avocado tree
      Also how long those it take to get fruit from seed whit a kiwi?

    • @FarmLifewithKids
      @FarmLifewithKids  4 года назад +2

      Robin GW Yes it’s quite amazing. It does take patience tho because it takes 2-4 years until you can get some fruit. And speaking of avocados , check out my latest upload on my 6 month update of my avocado tree grown FROM SEED! Here’s the playlist ☺️ ruclips.net/p/PLRor-rh0O1lXrbizRh4DkQ5XXMBJGUW51

    Don’t they need to be warm stratified then cold stratified?

    • @FarmLifewithKids
      @FarmLifewithKids  3 года назад

      I didnt stratify them, and they germinated quite well. Id say, if you want, try both methods, and see which works best. :)
