Take a ride with us at Heil Valley Ranch just north of Boulder, CO. Mostly blue trails with a focus on scenery and rockwork rather than speed and intensity. Great break from Left Hand if you are coming up this way often. Enjoy!

That looks fun. Heading to that area in September and that looks like my kind of riding.

Heil is the most IMBAfied of all trail systems on the front range, hence why it's soo pedally. I also much prefer TrailForks for the front range, it will usually give the better direction for loops, MTB project is notorious for giving the worse direction for loops. I much prefer riding Hall Ranch across the road, even if you take Antelope up and down and skip Lower Bitterbrush it's a much more fun downhill than anything at Heil while still being blue rated. Though my favorite front range blue is Warren Gulch, bring a shuttle for that one.

I'm still getting used to the looks of the maps on trail forks, much easier to see with MTB project, but pretty much everything else is better with trailforks. I've hit Hall a few times and it is definitely the better ride to drive up to, living in west Denver. I'm making a video about Warren gulch this spring/summer so stay tuned!

I usually climb up Picture Rock, do a loop and head back down. Great fun on my SS hardtail, if I haven't ridden there in a while it can be hard to find the flow and rhythm but still a good time. Nice video!

This trail system needs a few visits before you start to find that rhythm. This being my first time was a bit rough. I bet this is quite an experience on a hardtail too

You can't make a climbing comment when you didn't ride picture rock. Seriously man lol. Those are the best trails in that area.

Picture rock was closed for mud!

@@FoxtonR that sucks. I miss Picture Rock. I have some fun trails here in PHX. But the flows of PR are sick.

It's pronounced with a Hi and not a He. But, where did all the trees go? WTF!

Found that out after making this video, thanks. Also, not sure on the trees, probably fire mitigation

@FoxtonR when I lived there I think it was beetle kill. But the trees in that area really made you feel you were away from the cities.

I like maps. If there's one at each trailhead you could show that would visually help me to picture the trails you are riding,, that would be great.

Great point. Whether I showoff the map there or put one on screen, it may help to get some context.
