AirBridgeCargo 747-8f (VP-BBL) First Flight in Near Thunderstorm @ KPAE

AirBridgeCargo's newest 747-8f, VP-BBL, performs her first flight at Paine Field following a 3 hour delay for weather. Unfortunately for the crew, the weather only worsened and a massive thunderstorm approached the airport, leaving only minutes for the 747 to get out. This weather provided amazing contrast and some exceptional views for us though, so enjoy!

I live on the flight path to London Heathrow and was surprised tonight by seeing a plane that I just couldn't place. From my viewing angle I could not see the top profile and knew that it wasn't an A340 so I thought of the old Russian alternatives - but it was so quiet (comparatively!). I jumped onto Flight Radar and this was the aircraft! (VP-BBL) It was flying to Leipzig. I have lost track of developments recently so to see some Dreamliner features on the 747 has really surprised me.... anyway, brilliant video so many thanks for the effort/upload!
I'm sure that you get bored by people asking what camera you filmed this with, but if it comes in at under $2500 I would appreciate a "Heads-up". Regards...

Thanks for your comment, no worries at all. I use a Sony A7S ii but this was before I really knew how to use any of its abilities. It's far more capable than what I had been using for it back when this video was taken. It ran $3000 US when it was new but it's about 3 years old now so definitely check the price now, I'm sure it's come down. :)
