Michael Colby He was singing with Queen few years ago, and he was with The Firm with Jimmy Page in the 80's so that's two out of the three you mentioned.
Gave me shivers! Still got it after all these years. The way he bends some notes and belts out others and floats out there on some...magical live performance. Thank you for posting this!
@juliajones1425 Dont Let Me Down, by BadCo, is a great example of his vocals and his background vocals, simply amazing. The end of that song always gives me shivers......
Well said Chris, a very rare quality indeed. Whenever I hear him sing it makes me think hard and stops me in my tracks, not many people can have that affect on someone's mind.
See this is why there is no standard in vocalists anymore, no one can match this bloke, blues, rock soul the voice has it all ,, a man in his darker years doing the very same as original,,, bloody genius,,,, easily the best vocalist ever❤️❤️❤️🇮🇪🇮🇪🇮🇪☘️☘️☘️
Absolutely bloody brilliant, Paul Rodgers is a beautiful singer and only gotten better and better as the years have gone on. The very best live performer I have ever seen xx
Just love Paul Rodgers my No.1 male vocalist of all time.............Endless and timeless classic ...I hope to bump into them in California when residing there....
Paul Rodgers is probably one of the best frontmen of all time he is fantastic. His music with Free and Bad Company will accompany me through my life and to the future. Thank you Paul .
If Paul's superb voice hasn't changed by now, it never will. I swear, if he's able to perform at age 90, he'll sound exactly the same. It's wondrous, if you think about it.
Today I remember her....and tomorrow the world will for its 35 years Mr Rodgers 35 years in Neshoba county Indiana thank you for your beauty and your soulful mourning for us and for them.
Ken Harrington They may be because some say he can be a bit if a diva. I know I drove 300 miles to see a band in friends with open for. Him and 30 minutes prior to the show he let them know he had lost his voice and canceled. Maybe he did or he didn't but He could have saved their bus a few hundred miles. The opening act counted on that money but he never contacted them at all. Those considered lesser bands tend not to like him. As far as him on stage I've never seen anything but a pro. A bad rep in the industry though can cause you to be under rated. He may be a lovely dude but that's what friends of mine have said and they toured with him more than once.
Hi Ken Harrington Your words of not been given credit....My would be underrated but I find most underrated Singers are the best. They don't won't the bright lights and bull shit that goes with fame if you hear him in interviews he likes the simple life and has his own thoughts on life. I was in a bar in Thailand it was 3 a m and they had the Beatles on this guy was saying how good they were. I said they were good but in my opinion paul Roger's was the period of 65 to 74 was the best time. By the way the guy in the bar said who is Paul Roger's lol....I paid the bill and left.
Love(d) this song (still do). Played it at my brother's memorial after he took his life. Complicated story; Stanford grad, gorgeous man (no, I'm not gay), talented, he got half the brains in the family, my sister and I split the other half. He took his life at 42 years old. Can't believe it has been 15 years now. Godspeed (continually) brother!
Love this man, the best voice in rock!! No one has a bad word to say about him, true gentleman. First saw him aged 19 in back room of local pub about 1969 followed him ever since.
Ian Gillan, Robert Plant, David Coverdale are amazing singers of the 70's who have lost their power and range, Glenn Hughes and Paul Rodgers are amazing singers from the 70's who have only gotten better. INCREDIBLE!!
Michael Colby In gospel there is an awesome singer not well known named Matthew Ward. He and Paul Rodgers are my two favorite singers. Check out Matthew Wards sing warrior on utube. He has some awesome pipes.
In the year of Covid 19, and travelling through to 2020, this seagull and it's song knows more than we do, thank you Paul and thank you Bad Company, xx
2 gems in a row I've listened to 10 years after, in Thailand, from my old Northern neighbor Q107! As exceptional as Paul Rogers's voice is, the playing accompanying him is every bit his equal, and the 3 guitar harmony closeout is as pretty as I've ever heard. A birthday present to myself finding this. 62, yahoo!
During my lifetime, without question the best male rock and roll vocalist. I am a novice guitarist, vocalist, musician. Every time I listen to him, it makes me better.
Hear that NO EFFECTS NO PITCH BENDER NO REVERB ...JUST PURE TALENT ...DAM RIGHT

@@et5332 INDEED 🎤🎶🎶🎶🎶♥️‼️

His voice hasn't lost even a shred of its legendary power and soul over the years. One of the best singers ever.
for my money him and Bruce Dickinson are the best singers of all time! I wish Paul Rodgers was the singer for Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin, and Queen!
Michael Colby
Now that would be quite boring. :) I don't care much for Queen but the world would be a poorer place without Gillan and Plant.
Michael Colby He was singing with Queen few years ago, and he was with The Firm with Jimmy Page in the 80's so that's two out of the three you mentioned.
I know, right. Sounds awesome
If it's possible , he's even better than his old self
