I absolutely love watching ladies fashion videos because being a man it gives me ideas of colour tones I can work with for the items I have in my wardrobe and I do get lots of compliments when people say you always dress well
Many tailored pieces in style right now are androgynous as well. I'm a woman but not very girly, and I'm often inspired by menswear. Suits, vests, button up shirts, and stuff.
whewww😨 I was not prepared for all the value packed into this video!! I'm def gonna have to rewatch a couple more times and I instantly subbed!🩷 can't wait to binge your videos
You are phenomenal. You give ideas from what we have in our closets and what we can afford. I'm so grateful that you explain it in such a way that we don't have to break the bank. There used to be an influencer that I used to love to watch, but as time progressed, the looks just became too pricey, and it turned me off. Again, thank you. Also, this tonal style has a staying power for mature women.
Your no sew videos are off the chain i love them,I’ve been watching your diy for 3 weeks now and I’m addicted to them love them all 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
The pieces look chic and sophisticated. You picked out some really great items. I like how you demonstrated the difference effects of the tone on the different look. You needed to put the tee with the wide leg flowy capri pants. Thanks for sharing and ta ta for now!
Ooommggg!! The ABSOLUTE BEST video ever for explaining and showing examples of tonal, warm vs cool colors and how to put it all together!! You look stunning in them ALL. Thank you thank you thank you!! So very helpful ❤
Totally gonna try this style, and I love the idea of taking a picture and putting it in a fold so you can go back and easily remember it and throw it on in the morning 😃🙌👏💟💟💖 Ypur so awesome Orly
This is mh favourite way to wear color lately. I hang my clothes in rainbow order so I have tonal outfits just waiting to be put on! Bonus that my wardrobe looks super pretty too
U made me wanna go immediately and shop my closet over and over again 😂 I adopt tonal dressing every now n then, sometimes I add a print or pop colour along .. I wore an all lilac, mint, greys, whites, nudes before .. definitely black ! Black n white ..
I absolutely adore tonal outfits!🥰 They have this magical 🪄way of coaxing my inner introvert to take a more confident step towards embracing a touch of ambivert behavior. So, tonal looks are my go-to push toward a balanced and fun fashion adventure!
Dang girl, you looked fantastic in that bright pink and red. After seeing how you rocked the browns, I was not expecting it. This idea of tonal dressing made me think i might be able to wear colour - it is a good way for me to build on my black and navy. Thanks for another great vid!
Okay Orly, you really hit it out of the park with this whole video🎉 very inspiring!! I wanted to wear it ALL & I NEEEED some Lilly Silk💛 like buttah🌟😂 I'll be watching this again, honestly...🫶
those are lovely and inspirational. One element I think is worth mentioning in tonal outfits is texture: leather contrasted with silk contrasted with knit, shiny or lustre with matte, for example. It adds more depth and dimension that just colour alone.
I didn’t know what it was called until this video, but I love tonal dressing! I want to create a fall capsule wardrobe using tonal pieces! Thanks for the outfit inspiration!
Love the pants- I buy skirts at thrift stores and turn them into palazzo pants after watching your video on how to do that. Going to wear one of them out to celebrate our 39th anniversary this week
I like how you play shades and silk like a piece of art. I, personally, can't wear brown and white- feel that it changes my personality. My is grey of any shades, linen and silk. I think it is about hair -eyes combination. Mine is brown- blue. Thank you for show.
Speaking about belts, I am obsessed with the Holland Cooper classic belt. In particularly the HC stud belt. Gorgeous accessories too, hand bags and scarves. Loving the equestrian vibe that Holland Cooper are famous for. That Lillysilk trench is killer good, buying it this month too.
I'm 5'0", athletic build if you look at me from the front (straight up/down), curvy build if you look at me from the side (34D boobs/38 booty), not much of a defined waist which falls about 4 inches below my bust. I find that I cannot order any close online because you never know how the sizes run. I can try on 20 items with a range of sizes and I'm lucky if I find 4 items that actually fit. If I ordered online I'd spend all my time shipping most of the items back. I like your videos that show how to alter to make clothes fit.
I love browns, rusts, army greens, and some beiges/camels. I prefer warmer tones. This past couple of years, I have been going crazy buying brown pieces while I can. But it's so hard to put outfits together with the same undertones. Black with black? No problem. Most lighter neutrals together? No problem. But browns? I struggle. Have credit. Will persevere. Thanks for the tips.
Just had an idea ... you could develop and sell sequin/bead/embroidery (?) appliques with push-pin type tie tacks on the back -- one tie tack for small appliques and two on larger ones. Easy to attach to a jacket, for instance, and then remove it and put it on a sweater. Hmmm!! I'm probably the last one to this party, but I always hesitate to transform a jacket into something I won't wear all the time.
Orly, I 1M % agree abt tonal dressing. It's just plain classy! Period! I feel I gravitate towards the same tones...have for yrs. Being a dishwasher blonde w/subtle grey highlights now, as I'm over 50...my tones are Black, of course, White (believe it or not) and Grey, as of late. Navy would be my 4th! I always thought it's because I look @ Xrays all day long that the I tend to trend the Blacks to Whites ombre spectrum? Btw, Loving that trench coat/short set on you. However, You rocked them ALL! I always ❤❤❤ a White Blouse w/Black bottoms. SO timeless! ❤ PS: Ironically I DO buy other colors in hopes of leaving that neutral pallet, but rarely sport them. ;(
Tonal is so hard for me because I gravitate toward color as a rule (all of them), and most of my stuff is printed or graphic. I don't have many neutral pieces at all, or solids tbh ETA: THANK YOU for touching on tonal with color too 🥰
oh girl--i don't see how you could ever have a 'not feeling cute' day! you are gorgeous, fun, clever, funny, and (obviously!) very cute! :) thanks for all of the lovely information you share and for the sweet and wonderful way that you share it!
Love ALL your videos - watching this one I was really drawn to the brown leather jacket but I don't see it listed.....where can I find it? Thanks a bunch!
Hmm wonder why? Lilysilk is an awesome company. the product is super high quality, they're zero waste, environmentally conscious etc. I'd take a look at their about us, I think you'll find they might not be what you're thinking they are.
Your garment collections are gorgeous... With this method of style, I did it since the last fourty years and yes, this method works and what I bought or made, all are my signatured style, so the people sorround me noticed, that is me 😁👍 ! I invested cloths, shoes, bags and jeweleries which could wear anytime, based on season and occasion 😉 ! Have a great week to you ❣️
4:03 omg please please PLEASE tell me those are gold RockNot hoops, I have the black, silver, and rose gold and need plain gold to complete my collection so I’ve been begging for them forever 😅 Also, those wide leg snake pants are INCREDIBLE 😍
What about Black and white are they together also monechromatic or would it be all black or all white in your opinion- as a wintertyp i love it as contrast but i also get compliments with tonal dressing so i am in doubt what is it

I love the shiny brown silk halter top paired with the brown silk pants, very classy looking.

Im so glad it's helpful! I love it because it can be done at any budget! It's just using your eye to pull the same color shades together.

I have a lot of snake prints and never thought of using them as tonal neutrals! Great tip and love the snake print skirt outfit
Love Lilysilk so so much! I have loads of their items and they last years, never date and the quality is AMAZING!

I’ve always done the tone outfit thing! I didn’t even realise until this video! :) I think I accidentally did it once and went with it haha
I’m so glad I stumbled upon your channel Orly! Love your energy and the great tips! 😘
Love this thank you. That last pant (skirt)is the bomb. I just wish I was smaller or they were more size inclusive.
Oh shoot, Im sorry. They do run a little big if you're close to one of their sizes, might be worth a shot

❤I love these. I guess I now have an excuse to go thrifting
Could you do a video on altering thrifted clothes to compliment/balance the bodies vertical lines (long torso, short legs, vice versa)?
Omg you inspired me to add boots to an outfit I was putting together for a Muslim friends friend nikkah

Great to know Ive been accidentally doing this for years because I was too nervous to wear contrasting colours 😅
I turned it off as soon as I heard Lily Silk.. every RUclipsr has been selling Lily Silk in the past couple of weeks. It undermines confidence.
Hmm wonder why? Lilysilk is an awesome company. the product is super high quality, they're zero waste, environmentally conscious etc. I'd take a look at their about us, I think you'll find they might not be what you're thinking they are.

the diy designer What are some tips to tell if its a warm color or cool color?
Orly, I love your videos but am 65+ and overweight. Ever thought of doing a video for those of us who are not as young and thin anymore?
🌺💕🤎🤍💚💛❤ Love it
Så fine nuancer🎉❤

What about Black and white are they together also monechromatic or would it be all black or all white in your opinion- as a wintertyp i love it as contrast but i also get compliments with tonal dressing so i am in doubt what is it
If the second brown look was cool tone why did you pair it with a gold warm toned earring?
