Everyone has their own choice but I can't imagine spending $2000 on a bag knowing that in 12 months max I'll be too embarrassed to take it out because it's out of date and I'd rather buy something cheaper Then you can replace it with another one in two or three months without spending too much money *condup*
Quiet luxury is also big for street wear. Keeps people from being easy targets to be robbed. However, when I’m a safe environment with plenty of security and a bit of privacy like for a gala or event, I see that plenty of people still dress flashy. So, people have to decide what to wear and when. I tone it down when I don’t feel safe for various reasons. If I have a logo on my bag, I turn the logo inwards in certain scenarios. Whether or not the logo is considered expensive. Even in the day time. Quiet Luxury also means: Be smart and be safe.
My only issue with quiet luxury - is why do you feel the need to show others we have money? I love dressing classy and elegant - but I dress in a way where no one can ever know how much anything has costed.
People treat you better when you look more affluent. Why make your life harder when a few style tips smooths your path. Example: Think of a stranger covered in mud and oil and dirt. Do you want to stand next to them. Have them sit on your sofa. Have them baby sit for you? Meet your clients? An extreme example, but you get the point.
@@michelleclark8099 You totally didn’t get with what I meant - I am saying dressing nicely is important - what I am saying is that focusing on looking rich is silly - and actually cheapens you. But you do you Michelle Clark.
I agree. Focused so much on image pertaining to money determining actual worth is not something people should be aspiring to. Classy and elegant shouldn’t scream anything about oh look at me and think I’m rich.
I just watched your video about Old money, and I purposely found your video about Queit luxury and I still didn't find any difference 🤷🏻♀️ between them
A lot of Gucci designs are very flashy, but I’d say the Gucci Jackie bag and the Gucci horsebit bag & classic loafers are elegant & minimalist.
I agree!

Isn’t it what quiet luxury mean? It’s nice quality yet inconspicuous
@@Watsurq12 Quiet luxury is still trying to look rich to show you have money - the entire concept is so silly.
Alice, you are so beautiful. I love when you use French words and phrases and make French cultural references. It helps me practice my French :)
Love your video! Do you have any videos on quiet luxury fashion brands?

I love this video soooo much Alice. What do tou think about the peekaboo bag from Fendi? It is an alternative to Hermès birkin?
hermes is more elegant but yes still an effordable dupe. not fan of clasp though
Excellent content. Not sure why Sofia Ritchie is considered Quiet Luxury...maybe to the Tiktok generation.

Calvin Klein needs to tone down the logos. I do love the structure of the clothing.
If I drank for every time this person said Quiet Luxury my liver would need to be replaced.
“Eastern European girls” before they heard about quiet luxury”.? Sounds narrow minded, prejudiced and a few other things including ridiculous.
Tattoos are never elegant, just gross.
