These aftermovies are better than Retrospect. I need a DVD concert with these shots and effects.
I love how Epica continously grow as a band and in their personalities. & I want them to know that I love them for their combined musicality & that they interact so much on stage but also, all of them individually:
... Simone for letting her stage presence & singing + condition handling explode in the last years.
... Mark for being the gentle vitality-radiating genius he is & therefore being easily one of the most inspiring persons for me in the world.
... Isaac for showing his marvelous humour & briskness in so many little moments, on & off stage.
... Coen for being the most charismatic keyboarder I have ever seen (NEVER lie down your curveboard, maestro!)
... Rob for being a bassist through and through & having the most amazing man hair I have ever seen.
... Arien for being not just a beast but a beast with outstanding groove behind the drums.
pretty late but I need to add it here. That Mark gave to Isaac the 'position' of being the lead guitarist and he deserved it, but I think it is one of the endless things that showcases that this band has a nice chemistry all together and know their places. He didn't hold to it and therefor not letting Isaac grow as an artist. Also Rob composing songs which are truly masterpieces is something that no one was expecting and I am sure about that and he still haven't dropped his hair routine

Incredible band, excellent song, and Simon is always amazing...
Saw them for the first time 3 days ago in here in Atlanta....after being a fan for almost 10 years....STILL smiling ! Simone is so damn beautiful....with the voice to match....and the band was VERY tight. Enjoyed them immensely....my favorite band the last decade.
I saw them perform in Cleveland Ohio, and I was so happy, they kicked ass!

I love Epica and I love their shows but it was so weird seeing people doing a circle pit and a wall of death during their concert at the Hellfest 2015 as shown in the video... I was like WTF are they doing ? Doesn't seem to me as the type of music to do such stuff.

i absolutely love Epica and i never doubted that.. but recently some of their songs became a bit lame and uninspiring. a bit redundant if i may say .i hope they dont fail with producing better music.and i hope they don't end up like any symphonic metal bands.

I totally desagree. even tho' I respect your opinion.
Epica has been one of the bands that evolved for good... in my opinion.
The composition, the arrengements, playing with different keys on the same piece, the fusion of sounds, different vocal techniques based on the "circumstances" of the piece, even tho' their don't have the same amount of money to produce a high cost "production" they do really concentrate to maintain quality on their compositions.
That's my perception. I'm sorry.

i love their music and everything about the whole band.. there isn't a day that goes by without me listening to them..
their music gives me weird energy and its pretty much inspiring. . but lately with a " few" songs i get disconnected from that amazing feeling and inspiration. . maybe thats why ..
and about the different keys fusions and vocal techniques thats what i love the most.. i get sooo drifted away from the whole wold actually..
its the lyrics that am kinda worried about. .

amy bnz They can't make every song amazing :p there's always going to be those "few" songs that are just - great... In terms of lyricism, they've been making music for many years now and I'm sure it's pretty hard to be creative and inspiring on a consistent basis haha. Anyway, there's plenty of other bands out there! You can listen to bands other than Epica. If you want energising/inspiring lyrics there's a vast amount of talented bands for you to indulge yourself with.
Amazing song but Simone makes the song sound pop...my humble opinion...
