    I'm so glad to find that someone has my exact hair type! The top of my hair seems to be straight and underneath I have the 2A/2B waves. I am really looking into the LA gel because my hair is also super curly when wet, but then flattens out when it's dry. Will be trying out your products to see how they work on my hair. Thank you so much for posting this video! PS: Your curls are to die for :)

      Cosmo Girl try this routine. A leave in conditioner and then a gel to seal it! I also use the curls rock amplifier by tigi. It’s a great gel!

      @@dormirrelajado4688 I have similar hair & have been trying different curly girl approved products. What works best for my waves is Jessicurl, I love the rockin ringlets & spiralicious gel plus the deep conditioner & they have shampoos & conditioners. It always gives me the best definition without feeling producty & hardly have any frizz!

    I know this is an older video but this is one of the videos that led me to try Kinky-Curly products. Just because they are marketed to mostly type 4 hair, don’t let that make you think they are too heavy for type 2 hair. I absolutely love the Kinky-Curly Knot Today. Also, the Kinky-Curly Come Clean shampoo is excellent, especially if you have extremely hard water. And their Curling Custard leaves a cast that easily crunches out to the softest curls and waves that still hold. And they all smell great. I even sent an email to Ulta today asking them to carry these products.

    I have long 2c-3a low porosity hair. I switch between SM JBCO shampoo, NYMN blonde moment shampoo (my hair is highlighted), and As I Am dry scalp cowash. I use Sally’s GVP Conditioning Balm as my rinse out conditioner, using the STC method. For deep conditioning, which happens once a week before shampooing, I switch between NYMN green matcha tea mask and SM Manuka honey and yogurt protein treatment. For all my stylers I rope and squish in. I apply them in this order KCKT (my holy grail leave-in), Deva Curl’s B’Leave in, switch between Pantene’s curl mousse and NYMN Blue Sea Kelp mousse, and lock it all in with LA Look’s Blue Sport Gel. I’ll plop in a T-shirt for 5-10 minutes, diffuse my roots, and let the rest dry in a bun on my head. I tend to wash at night.
    I know this seems like a lot of steps, but it’s what’s been giving me great hair days routinely. I can also stretch my wash days to day 4-5 with minimal refreshing.

    I think I'm gonna try some of these products out! I usually only add in a little bit of coconut or rosehip oil as a leave-in-conditioner because I've found that most other hair products really break me out since my hair always ends up touching the sides of my face

    I have the same hair type, and I have tried the curly girl method. The only thing that really helped me, from that method, was putting my product in on sopping wet hair, before it even has time to start getting frizzy. My curls are lacking as of late, and have become more of a loose wave. It's probably because my hair is almost to my butt now. I'm gonna order this product today, because I'm thinking maybe if I can get some weight off of it, it'd help bring back ringlets. I'm gonna try replacing my conditioner with this and see if that helps lighten it up. Also gonna thin it a little and trim my layers. I also use the LA Looks gel, it's awesome and cheap all you need the gel for is to create a cast that also helps prevent frizz while your hair dries, so this is perfect for that. It's not such a strong hold that it leaves your hair super stiff, even after scrunching it out, it's just enough to hold everything in place, but also easily scrunches out leaving soft curls. Some gel's that I've tried, that were more expensive than this was way too intense for the gel cast method, so if that's what you're wanting to try, definitely get the LA Looks gel.

    Looking forward to trying this! I had the opposite problem, I had really long straight hair and got 12 inches cut off and it turned wavy! I have no idea what I’m doing, but I’m hopeful for this cause your hair looks really similar to mine!

    Your hair is sooo pretty 😍. It just looks so healthy and the haircut looks great on you. I wish I could pull off short hair, mine goes down to my waist. I have a similar hair pattern, just a little bit more wavy and sometimes I get some spirals so I'm thinking I'm a type 2b-2c. But I'm totally going to get the shampoo and gel. Hopefully it helps. Thanks so much for posting this video!!

    I have a really similar hair texture to you too and I’ve noticed that every time I cut my hair a medium/short length (even if my ends are stringy and damaged) I lose a lot of my curl pattern. The longer my hair is for some reason, the more ringlets I have and the tighter my curl pattern is! So strange

    • @AmandaCollins21
      @AmandaCollins21 4 года назад +1

      It might be that your curl just starts a little lower on the head so your longer hair has more room to curl

    The same thing happened to me I had really long loose curls/ways that I loved but my hair was so dead and dry that I finally gave in a cut 7inches off, I expected my waves to bounce up but the opposite happend, it started drying almost straight with a little wave and I was so upset because I had finally came to terms with my hair and was working with it naturally. So reccently even though it's almost back to my original length, I've just been blow drying it staight so I dont have to fight with it but I miss it and now I'm trying to find a way to bring it back, beacuse the potential is still there.

    Hello beautiful! I'm so thankful I stumbled upon your video. Finally someone with the same hair texture as me! For years I've tried all sorts of different hair products that NEVER worked. I used to use SheaMoisture products and like you, my hair would be SO frizzy! I had no idea why my hair wouldn't keep its wave despite all the wonderful reviews I heard about those products. Little did I know that these products were too heavy for my hair type :O Anyway, I wanted to know if you wash your hair every day with this styling technique. I know it's not good to wash your hair everyday, but I figured keeping gel in your hair for too long isn't necessarily a good thing either.

      @melindab  4 года назад +2

      Raleigh Aisha Relevo possibly! But it’s never consistent for me. I had short hair several years ago and had a tighter curl pattern so I thought that’s what would happen when I cut it again and my waves completely straightened out. So it’s hard to say
