Yes, everyone who titles their videos 2a has like 3a when i go to watch them. People demote their hair levels because they are afraid of being jumped on for, gasp, calling wavy hair curly.good grief.
This made me realize that my hair really is wavy. I remember years ago as a child I had super curly hair, but over the years my hair has lost all definition and is just frizzy. I shaved all of it off recently and am on a hair growing journey! I use to scrunch my hair to get some waves and curls but for some reason I thought that made me a faker. Not that curling your hair makes you a faker or a poser, but idk! I don't like feeling fake. I appreciate this video sorry for the monologue lmaooo
Destry T I used to think the same!! Haha I thought that since I used product it wasn’t my natural hair lol but that’s not true. People without waves or curls can’t just use product and create them, you have to have it already 😋 I think most people have a little bit of a wave to their hair though they just need the right products to enhance them!🖤
Omg same! I didn't knew even girls with curly hair scrunched their hair, I just found out they all do. That is so weird but for some reason I too felt like a poser for scrunching my hair, but oh well, if my hair likes to be scrunched to look good and nor frizzy like Hermione then be it haha
So I was yesterday years old when I discovered my hair's full potential and that my hair is actually pretty wavy. Today youtube recommended this video and now I'm subscribing! Love the colour ❤️
Hey! I’m that girl 😂 I’m so glad I was able to warn you and the issues stopped for you! To this day I am experiencing scalp issues even a year after. Stop using Maui Moisture guys :)
Katia Casanova hii! Lol I pinned your comment in my last video bc it was so true and everyone needs to know! My scalp was actually starting to hurt and itch so badly but I stopped using both products after your comment! I’m so glad you told me🙌💖💖
Katia Casanova sorry you’re still having issues! That sucks 🙁 you should try the herb horsetail. you can get it off amazon and it helps with skin irritation and rashes etc. I used it on my husbands eczema and on my scalp when I had issues and it helped a ton!🖤
Literally have being seeing tons of TikToks of ladies with similar hair to me trying curly hair methods and tried a few today and APPARENTLY MY HAIR IS ACTUALLY WAVY??? Like I've spent my whole life thinking my hair type was frizzy/impossible? I'm blown away but so happy I found your channel bc I also have brightly colored hair and the curl girl forums were super overwhelming!!! Ordering a few of these products to try and can't wait to see my waves come out!!
God, I wish we were taught to not brush out our hair when it's dry 🥺. Wavy/curly/kinky hair can be so pretty, and it's so sad how people want straight hair. Let me tell you, for so long I wanted straight hair because I would just brush my hair and it would always be so frizzy and big, and there was tons of breakage. My hair felt too hard to manage. Let's learn to embrace our hair and take good care of it 💗💗 I've always felt that product made my hair not true. (If that makes sense) I felt like I was faking my hair, almost as if someone would curl their hair with a curling iron. But now I see it as just as people see a shampoo or conditioner, it's hair care. It's a way to treat and embrace your curls. I hope someone sees this message, and if you read all the way through, I hope you have a good day, and a good hair day :D (I'm still trying to figure out my own hair and I'm still going through my journey. I'd love to hear your stories too.) 😊💞
i’ve been trying to find a tutorial/video for someone with my hair type and i think i finally did! my hair is so similar to yours and it’s also bleached and i’m so glad i found this
I love finding wavy girls who just use what works! I use that same curl cream and fricken love it! It was my first curl cream too and I always go back to it
When I style it, I’m like a 2c/3b but I’m like a 2a/2b when I just let it dry with no product. It’s so nice to see you rep your waves and it makes me more confident with mine :)
I just found out that I actually have 2a wavy hair, Iv been treating my hair like straight hair my whole life so my hair would be frizzy and it just didn’t look right. Now I’m gonna finally start wearing my natural hair.
The colour is insane 🥺 I love it so much!! Your hair videos have been very helpful as I am trying to bring out my waves/curls which I never knew I actually had so I just kept hating my hair for not being fully straight but just thick and frizzy 💜
Awh yay! I’m glad they’re helping!🖤 thank you🥰 I know the feeling! The more you try products and figure out what your hair likes, the bette your waves/ curls will look so just keep going 💖💖
melinda I definitely will no going back now! ❤️ Do you maybe have any styling gel recommendations for medium thick hair? idk what type of hair you have but just a styler that is less heavy :) (currently I am using Shea Moisture gel soufflé and it’s really thick so I gotta use very small amount)
delilah 0114 oh yeah that one is super thick! I’ve used it and you do have to be careful. I’d try the one I mention in this video. The curls rock amplifier by tigi! It’s a gel and I love it! Also the la looks sports gel is just a simple cheap gel that works great. But the curls rock gel I’m using actually helps with some definition so I’d start with that one ☺️💖
i love seeing someone with colored wavy hair!! i always see people with colored hair have straight hair and it makes me insecure about whether i would look good with it. but you look absolutely gorgeous and i love your hair 💗
If you haven’t tried Loreal’s 8 product you should! It is a moisturizing liquid with protein that works in 8 seconds after shampoo and before conditioner if needed. I have fine wavy/curly hair and I notice it helps with moisture and definition without weighing down my hair.
I’ve used Maui moisture for months and I absolutely love them, no itchiness whatsoever. I have thick hair and a lot of it so it helps keep my hair smooth and healthy :)
Finally found someone who has my same hair type/wave pattern (or close to it)! Looking forward to trying some of these products and how you do your hair.
I recently bought a bottle of Maui Moisture and after the first use my scalp was dry and flaky. But after the 2nd use my scalp feels great. No more dry itchy flaky scalp. My hair looks healthier too and less greasy.
I never found what type my hair was and I finally found out and it is so good to see a colorful hair since mine its blue!! Im so happy to see this video and feels like: OMG finally someone who has the same type of hair as mine
i am 2A/B myself & I really love Cantu Wave Whip! I like a softer finish without a cast & this works for me. It's foam, not an actual mousse. I like Infusium 23 (Original formula- white bottle $8 at Sally's) I use that after a shower & prior to Wave Whip. Infusium is an awesome lightweight leave-in & repairs the hair like no other=) It's also CHEAP! Manes by Mell is a useful channel - Mell is a professional who shares the scoop on ingredients & what they do. Like using styling products with glycerin only when the temp is 40-70 degrees & not humid etc... Glycerins proper place is in a conditioner or leave-in. Mell also explains which ingredients are humidity blockers. I can finally have hope for a good hair day no matter the weather=) Thanks for the tips. I will be trying that Catwalk Curls Rock stuff=)
Love this! I used to do curly girl method (for over a year) but my hair and scalp loves the cleanliness I get from sulfates and I use some products that contain silicones because it helps with my tangles and I swear it helps me form clumps better for my waves. I used about every bottle of shampoo and conditioner in the maui moisture line and all of them gave me scalp issues, I think its the sodium c14-16 olefin sulfonate they use as I had another brand of shampoo for a while that gave me the same scalp issues, I even had TONS OF HAIR FALL using the shampoos I had with that ingredient
Kinky Curly knot today is a CGM approved leave in :) While it's nice to see you using products your hair is loving, my hair has shown massive improvements through CGM that I haven't seen in a long long time, so I'mma stick with that Do you though! And love that pink on ya
I havnt let my natural hair do it's thing for sooooo many years! I had curly hair when I was little but wasn't sure if my hair would have much of a curl pattern now, I followed your routine and got my hands on the catwalk curls product and I'm loving it! So glad I found your channel! Your hair is gorgeous by the way! 😍 X
ugh finally. ive literally been looking for a inexpensive hair routine for so long to revive my waves especially after cutting my hair i’m going out tomorrow and buying these products i hope my hair comes back :(
Is your hair coarse? I have waves similar to yours but my actual hairs are are pretty fine despite having a lot of them and I can't get my hair to hold the wave well. Wanting to try the knot today. Currently just using a leave in and a gel.
No my hair is pretty coarse but I would recommend trying a little protein if you’re not sensitive to it. The women to women naturals gorgeous collection leave in conditioner gives me the most curl definition EVER but it has protein. It’s what I use on my refresh days and it holds my curls for several days🖤 if you are sensitive to protein I definitely recommend the knot today though!
You both might think about trying Zotos All About Curls line it really brings out my curls, especially the reluctant ones on the very top of my head. I've tried all but the deep conditioner so far and L.O.V.E. them! I got the sample pack at Sally's Beauty Supply but ordered the bigger bottles off Amazon. I think, in general, a person should wash with a gentle sudzing unscented shampoo first (this washes off accumulated dust/pollen and starts the process of cleaning the products from your hair strands), and then go in with their low, or no, suds wash (this wash pulls the rest of any products from your strands) and then conditioner, but that's me personally. I just don't feel like Any no suds wash gets my hair Super clean all on it's own, but I do like the way this one makes my hair feel. I also rotate between different brands just to keep my hair from getting weighted down, and it keeps me from getting tired of the scent of the products.
Yes! My hair is baby fine and recently (in the last 2 years or so) gotten super frizzy. During quarantine I started not using heat and using a good amount of leave in conditioner and it's started getting way from my ears down. I don't know where to go from here lol
My hair is super fine and I have a lot of it too.. What I've been doing is just brushing my hair before I shower and then not brushing it at all after. Not even when it's dry. I've only been doing it for about 2 weeks and my hair isn't frizzy anymore and the waves are more consistent. I'm still trying to see if there's anything else I can do but so far that's working ok for me
OH MY GOSH!!!! I use those products and my scalp is so ITCHY ALL THE TIME. About two weeks ago I tried something new and just now realized that my scalp is no longer itchy! That’s so crazy because I never considered that the Maui products were causing it... I just had a lightbulb moment lol
I love kinky Curly knot today! Even though Maui Moisture says all hair types I’ve heard it only works really well for tighter curl patterns and really dry hair, probably because of the heavy ingredients like Shea butter. Sometimes my 3a curls like it, sometimes it doesn’t
I have a friend like yours and I would LOVE to see how you manage to air dry and not brush your hair but still get your fringe looking good!! There are no videos about it and its really annoying seeing wavy hair care videos that don't take fingers into consideration 😭 love your content, keep it up girl!!! 😁
An itchy and flaky scalp can actually be a yeast infection on your scalp. You have natural yeast on your scalp and a lot of things can trigger an infection. I had one and it actually wasn’t from the products I was using on my hair, it was from going to sleep with wet hair! I got a small treatment for my scalp and it did help but as soon as I stopped going to sleep with wet hair my scalp was completely fine. So if you get a tone of dandruff, flakiness, or an itchy scalp see if it might be because of that.
Try to dilute jojoba oil with aloe vera gel. I used to do this when my hair was bleached and badly damaged. While jojoba oil is conditioning the hair and making it soft and shiny, aloe vera will help to distribute the oil more evenly, hydrate the hair and define your curl (when it dries out, it became kinda "soft hard", and so it saves your curl shape)
I get eczema when I'm stressed, and one of the places I get it is on my scalp. I am also sensitive to a lot of hair products and they can really irritate my scalp to cause a flair up. Maui Moisture is one of the ones I have issues with 😢
My hair is like this too but for some reason the top layer of my hair keeps going straight??? The bottom layers are wavy like this but the top just won’t stay wavy? Pls help :(((
Have you bleached or died your hair a lot? Like is it super dry/fried? Coz I have wavy hair and when my hair was super fried the top layers where pretty much straight and the bottom wavy, i ended up getting those parts cut off and its grown out and everything is wavy now!
I used your method of flipping your hair a couple times and then applying product, and my hair looks amazing! I also used some oil to smooth my frizz, and my hair looks so much more defined. I’m glad I found a routine from a person with 2a hair like mine!
I’ve been having scalp issues myself & couldn’t figure out what was causing it. My jaw dropped when she mentioned Maui moisture, I can’t believe I didn’t figure it out sooner!
Pro-tip for people with color damage: aphogee products is a saving grace. Pro-tip for everyone: every week or two weeks use tea tree oil before your shower for a hot oil treatment. I kinda focus on my scalp and that day I shampoo twice. Leave it under a processing cap for Atleast 15 mins.
The TIGI Catwalk Curlesque series is 🔥 that styling creme and their mouse are exactly how I discovered that I had wavy hair like 10 yrs ago!!! I have yet to find a better product for my "curly" days
sulfates makes your hair color fade faster idk if you know of mentioned it in the video maybe i missed it but i just wanted to lyk i used to have colored hair and using sulfate free shampoo helps it last longer
I was thinking about trying Maui moisture, glad I saw this! I’m very prone to reactions from soaps and such ;-; I use Love Beauty & Planet, it works quite well for me and it’s colour safe as far as I know. Thank you for making this video, it’s hard to find 2a/b routines!!
Ooo! I got one of their deep conditioning treatment packets, and I just LOVE the way it smells! I don't mind it lingering on my hair. I have to be careful with most other products though, if they're too perfumy they can give me a migraine.
Idelli Putri If it helps I use the murumuru butter and rose one and it really makes my hair feel great, I’m sure it’ll work just as well on any looser curls. It’s also color safe (specifically made for color treated hair I think because its definitely added vibrancy to my color lol) and doesn’t smell too crazy, but does smell really good!!
You have bangs and I couldn’t even tell after it dried and that gives me so much hope. I want bangs so bad but I love just flipping my hair to the side. Having both would be amazing.
my waves disappeared ages ago and i had no idea why. been binging videos like yours and it’s super helpful! when i first died my hair, it was thick and had nice waves and as i kept dying it, it got straighter and straighter. my hair is now mostly straight (tiny little waves are here and there) and super frizzy. to this day, i do not exactly know why my hair is so frizzy but i’m assuming it’s do with dying it and the fact that i lost my waves. i don’t know. this video is super helpful. thank you !
Thank you soo much for this video!! 💜 I always thought that my hair is straight and lately I found out that it is actually wavy. So I did a lot of research and most of the videos and tips were for curly hair, not wavy and those steps were not actually working for my wavy hair, and also made me wanting to have and achieve those curls.. And after I did your way , adding the diffuser blow dry my waves never looked better. So thank you thank you thank youuuu, lots of hugs🤗
I had the same scalp issues with anything coconut and anything shea moisture. Now I use As I Am pomegranate and passion fruit cowash and my scalp has been great.
It’s quite fascinating how different everyone’s experiences are! For me Maui has been the most gentle product I’ve used & I love it! But for others it’s the worst!
Tuesday Nyx oof, yes. I am sensitive to those ingredients! Found out after trying an herbal essence shampoo that had it. I used it a few times and could not stand how itchy my head was. A little bit of research later I figured out it was one of the itchy Ms. I stopped the shampoo immediately and within 2 washes with new shampoo the itchiness was gone 👏🏻
I've been super into hair care and skin care and I've got a split green and pink hair, I've got a 2b hair curl thingy I guess, I'm excited to get my waves\ curls more defined
This is sooo helpful my hair is hella weird right now. I can’t figure out the texture mainly because I went from naturally black to platinum so it’s DAMAGED. But I’ve been figuring out that it has a bit of wavy and it’s exactly this texture
I’m 19 years old and my hair structure is changing in to 2a. My dad has curly hair thats how i knew. I bleached my hair to white 5 months ago just when the process of change started. I’m naturally light blond so the damage is not so severe. But the waves are struggling. This helped me alot thankyou so much❤️
Growing up I've always had fairly straight hair, but when I got into my teens my hair became more frizzy and thick but I was always told just to straighten it. I've been researching online a lot to see if I did have a wavy hair type and I realized I did! Thanks for the video 💕 I'm going to try those products to see if I can revive my hair and hopefully stop using a damn straightener on it daily 😂
My hair used to be super deep and curly when it was virgin and now that I went plat it is so limp and frizzy! I hate cgm because my hair always feels heavy and dirty. Trying what you recommend! :)
Yesss at least I’ve been doing some of these steps I just need to scrunch up my hair and hopefully I’ll see results next time I wash my hair. Thank you so much for this video😩😩
tysm. I have 2a/2b hair and I have been doing NOTHING my whole life. I had super straight hair until I cut it off in 1st grade. and it just like poofed up into 2a/2b. I'm pretty sure it was only straight because of how long it was and the weight of it. But yeah I've been trying to see how to take care of it bc my hair is a mess rn.
wow! you are beautiful! loved this video. I have never considered myself to have wavy hair, but over the last week I have noticed more waves so I am just now starting my journey of figuring out my hair. Thanks!
Same thing happened to me in the beginning of my CG routine. I saw a vid of another RUclipsr and she said that she had used their products and her head started itching so bad. She went over the ingredients and found that one of the ingredients is actually a derivative of formaldehyde and one of the allergic reactions to it is severe itching and burning. So I did more research and found that that was true and stopped using it immediately. I took all of them back and got my money back. It was such a shame because it really made my hair look great. I just started using the SheaMoisture Yogurt masque and I love it. My hair isn’t anywhere near as frizzy as it was. P.S. I’m a pink girl too. What color do you use? My absolute fav is Special Effects Cupcake Pink or Atomic Pink and it lasts forever so you don’t have to keep redoing it.
I love your waves 😍 I'm currently trying to bring my over straightened hair back to what it should be, which I'm hoping is more towards 2b but I like my 2a too :) this was so helpful!
Girl, you do you. I grew up in a small town that was (is 😩) conservative af, I was finally able to leave that bumfuck place but I wish I would have not cared when I was younger. You only have so much time to have fun with your look before boring adult word latches on to you and your life and you can’t have fun...ever
back when I had long hair a few years back my mid to ends were so awfully dry, crunchy and damaged despite never bleaching, dyeing, or even using heat on them.....I'm realizing now the frizz and dryness I was dealing with was because my hair is actually quite wavy in the mids to ends, but at 15 I had no idea how to care for it, I'm growing my hair out from a pixie cut (it's almost shoulder length right now) and I'm realizing I have waves again bc I've begun scrunching and using product and like I had some SERIOUS wave when i used a Ph balanced shampoo and styling products....so this is very exciting as I've always wanted curly or at least textured hair
last year i started using cantu, the shampoo is gentle on my bleached, dry, frizzy hair but gives me the clean scalp feeling and the conditioner works amazingly on it too! i took a break from it for a couple weeks and only used it as a leave in while i tried some new products and i just went back to it this week and my hair feels sooo soft as if the masque i completely used up in its place was doing nothing! Its also everywhere and super cheap 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
My bleached hair HATED the cantu shampoo :/ My hair felt extremly dry, i couldn‘t get them soft and moistred, even leaving a mask ob for 10 min didnt really help :(
You say we can use what works for our hair and that's the best you can advice because sometines we don't see the damage we can get, I used to wash my hair with sulfate free shampoo and it damaged my skin, not my scalp nor my hair but the skin near my hair, my shoulders and chest and I still have some problems so everyone be careful.
Hello Rose from UK. I hope you see this message, what products do you recommend? I am from the UK, New to the curly hair process. And with 2a hair! Tha k you!!
TheLord's Butterfly I love cantu shampoo, hair foods papaya conditioner, as I am leave in conditioner and Aussie freeze gel. I get them off amazon. I also like bumble bumble Sunday shampoo to clarify every so often and as I am cowash. I find my hair loves these things even though they are not strictly all curly girl approved. I also wash my hair upside down and comb the conditioner through. X
So I saw that whole "didn't know I had curly hair" tiktok trend, tried it, and turns out I have wavy hair. Honestly kinda stupid of me to not know since my dad has type 3b/3c lol But, thanks for the video, cuz I'm new to having wavy hair, and I thought I'd killed any curls I'd had, because I also have bleached/purple dyed hair
How do you do your bangs? If I don't blow dry mine I have crazy cowlicks and it's a hot mess. I just got balayage pink in my hair so I'm hoping I can get more texture. Thanks for the product rec's!
Hi! What haircut do you have? I love the way your hair lays. I have similar hair and I have been looking for a haircut to fit my hair and yours looks perfect 🤩
My hair is so close to looking like yours. I stopped straightening it in March (thanks to lockdown) and now the bottom layer of my hair is kinky and wavy, but the top is still flat and frizzy. Sounds like I need a new towel for my hair
Hi there! Thanks for the video I’m trying to give some love to my wavy hair so I’ll definitely be trying some of the products you’ve recommended. Quick question though how do you manage with your fringe? I couldn’t see it at the end of your routine so I wondered if you had it cut in afterwards or if it was just camouflaged.
I work from home now thankfully but I used to just go in with wet hair. I wasn’t in customer service though so maybe it depends on if your job would allow it or if that would be weird 😜
Manes by Mell here on YT says don't leave it wet that long. It could set you up for hygral fatigue. She uses a "hover method" for the most part, to get her hair mostly dry. Before I started my Curly Girl Journey, it only took 15 minutes tops for my whole head to dry (it was Very sparse!). Now, it'll still be moist after 3 hrs (I got about 80% to grow back in). So I've started warm/cool blow drying mine for a few minutes (10 mins tops!) only on the part that takes the longest (I pull the ends out of the way so the air can get to the scalp), to Almost dry, and then let it air dry the rest of the way. Works a treat and no frizz!
Omg you were in my recommended you look like me, same glasses similar wave pattern (mine is like this from damage normally I’m a 2c/3a) I even use the same pink hair dye. Love your channel, glad I stumbled upon it 💗 subscribed!!
THANK GOD FOR SEEING SOMEONE WITH 2A/2B HAIR (I only find 2c and up)
Same! That’s why I started making these videos so I’m glad they’re helping!🥰🥰
Same!!
Yes, everyone who titles their videos 2a has like 3a when i go to watch them. People demote their hair levels because they are afraid of being jumped on for, gasp, calling wavy hair curly.good grief.
Yessss exactly, this is what I needed for my wavy hair.
Amen sister
Finally a 2a routine with colored hair!! I’m trying to revive my waves so thank you for this!
Awh you’re welcome!🖤🖤
sameee! Thanks Melinda ☺ so happy to have found your channel!
Isn't her hair 2b?
@@zzp1758 probably some of both

I felt the same way. 🥺 That I was just “trying to be something I’m not.” I’m glad I wasn’t the only one!!!
Omg same! I didn't knew even girls with curly hair scrunched their hair, I just found out they all do. That is so weird but for some reason I too felt like a poser for scrunching my hair, but oh well, if my hair likes to be scrunched to look good and nor frizzy like Hermione then be it haha

I love your hair & your routine! It’s hard finding videos on 2a-2b so this was very helpful! ☺️
Alexa Bojorges Awh thanks! I’m glad it helped!💖💖
So I was yesterday years old when I discovered my hair's full potential and that my hair is actually pretty wavy. Today youtube recommended this video and now I'm subscribing! Love the colour ❤️
Yay! Thank you!
Im 20 years old and just earlier today discovered I had 2b curls and everythings makes sense now
Yay🤗
I’m 22 don’t feel bad 😭😂
I used it on my husbands eczema and on my scalp when I had issues and it helped a ton!🖤
melinda I will definitely look into that! Thank u!!
Katia Casanova no problem ☺️
Katia Casanova I was using it too and I thought I was having allergies! Thank you so much!

You are the first person I have ever seen use curls rock!!-been using it for years..its not curly girl approved...but i still love it!

If you have wavy hair, it can actually be better to only brush when dry. That way you don’t lose definition by brushing wet.
Oh my God yes a non CGM wavy! I have recently discovered my texture is almost identical to yours, and I have been S T R U G G L I N G.
ohboyitstara 🖤🖤 hope my videos help🥰
i’ve been trying to find a tutorial/video for someone with my hair type and i think i finally did! my hair is so similar to yours and it’s also bleached and i’m so glad i found this
I love finding wavy girls who just use what works! I use that same curl cream and fricken love it! It was my first curl cream too and I always go back to it
Yes! It’s great ☺️
When I style it, I’m like a 2c/3b but I’m like a 2a/2b when I just let it dry with no product. It’s so nice to see you rep your waves and it makes me more confident with mine :)

The colour is insane 🥺 I love it so much!!
Your hair videos have been very helpful as I am trying to bring out my waves/curls which I never knew I actually had so I just kept hating my hair for not being fully straight but just thick and frizzy 💜

melinda I definitely will no going back now!
But the curls rock gel I’m using actually helps with some definition so I’d start with that one ☺️💖
melinda alright I will check those out! Thanks for the reply😊 you’re really nice!! 🥺💜
delilah 0114 Awh you’re welcome!☺️🖤
Thank you!!!!!! I have wavy, bleached/dyed hair and it gets so fluffy and dry. I really needed this, esp with winter coming our way!💜
i love seeing someone with colored wavy hair!! i always see people with colored hair have straight hair and it makes me insecure about whether i would look good with it. but you look absolutely gorgeous and i love your hair 💗
røs Awh thank you so much!!!🥰🥰
If you haven’t tried Loreal’s 8 product you should! It is a moisturizing liquid with protein that works in 8 seconds after shampoo and before conditioner if needed. I have fine wavy/curly hair and I notice it helps with moisture and definition without weighing down my hair.
Rebecca Romine I’ll have to check it out!
I’ve used Maui moisture for months and I absolutely love them, no itchiness whatsoever. I have thick hair and a lot of it so it helps keep my hair smooth and healthy :)
Night-Owl-Ivy lucky! I love the smells and the price😜 so I wish I could use it
Finally found someone who has my same hair type/wave pattern (or close to it)! Looking forward to trying some of these products and how you do your hair.
I love how fuzz and fizz free your routine is!!!
Sarah Ng thanks! Me too! I’m really happy with my routine right now ☺️
I recently bought a bottle of Maui Moisture and after the first use my scalp was dry and flaky.
Gabriela Thomé yay!🖤🖤
i am 2A/B myself & I really love Cantu Wave Whip!
I can finally have hope for a good hair day no matter the weather=)
Thanks for the tips. I will be trying that Catwalk Curls Rock stuff=)
MLS awesome!🖤🖤
YES!!! i love the catwalk curl amplifier! it feels really sticky but its amazing once the hair is dry
Does it leave your hair soft? Or does it make it kind of textured/crunchy?
@@trinityhxc it makes it crunchy and it doesnt last longer than a day sadly
Kinky Curly knot today is a CGM approved leave in :)
While it's nice to see you using products your hair is loving, my hair has shown massive improvements through CGM that I haven't seen in a long long time, so I'mma stick with that
Do you though! And love that pink on ya
Sarah DeAnne thank you! Yes definitely do what works for you! CGM helps tons of girls with their hair 🖤
@@melindab like for real though! I wish I could figure out how to whole head pink like yours and not lose all of my definition 😭
Yay! That makes me so happy!🤗🤗 thank you🥰🥰
OMG! Thank you for this video! I always see the curly girl method and your routine is something that could work with my budget!
ugh finally. ive literally been looking for a inexpensive hair routine for so long to revive my waves especially after cutting my hair i’m going out tomorrow and buying these products i hope my hair comes back :(
I would skip the Shea moisture conditioner and get the briogeo don’t despair repair mask 🖤 I like it better now
Or if you want to keep it cheaper you can definitely try that mask from Shea moisture🥰
@@melindab thank you so much ❤️ i’ll be sure to check those out and try to see which works better on my curls
@@oliviaj6310 you’re welcome!🤗
Big fan of this! 💕 just wondered how your fringe is involved in all of this? Like do you straighten it? 🧐💕
Oh wow! I’m glad you stopped!🤍
Ugh your hair is like my dream hair! 😍
I love kinky Curly knot today! Even though Maui Moisture says all hair types I’ve heard it only works really well for tighter curl patterns and really dry hair, probably because of the heavy ingredients like Shea butter. Sometimes my 3a curls like it, sometimes it doesn’t
Smurf Ette oh interesting!
Pls help :(((
Oli try protein! Check out my refresh video for a product recommendation🖤
I’m having the same problem! I will try protein
Have you bleached or died your hair a lot? Like is it super dry/fried? Coz I have wavy hair and when my hair was super fried the top layers where pretty much straight and the bottom wavy, i ended up getting those parts cut off and its grown out and everything is wavy now!
You may not have enough layers. I found out that you need to have layers pretty high up on your head or the top of your hair won’t be wavy
Same! On the bottom of my hair I have literal ringlets!
You’re so cute! I love your hair. 🥰
Jamila Taleb awh thank you so much!! 🥰🥰
Finally! Someone with my hair texture. This video was very helpful, thank you.
Yay! You’re welcome🖤🖤
I used your method of flipping your hair a couple times and then applying product, and my hair looks amazing! I also used some oil to smooth my frizz, and my hair looks so much more defined. I’m glad I found a routine from a person with 2a hair like mine!
The maoui shampoo made my scalp itch and have dandruff too omg !!!
So weird!! I’m glad I’m not crazy lol
I’ve been having scalp issues myself & couldn’t figure out what was causing it. My jaw dropped when she mentioned Maui moisture, I can’t believe I didn’t figure it out sooner!
Itchy M’s. Watch out for anything with “methyl” whatever in the ingredients. 💕
YESSSS thank you for a 2a/2b routine, i have been searching for routine with hair like mine
Yay!🖤🖤
sulfates makes your hair color fade faster idk if you know of mentioned it in the video maybe i missed it but i just wanted to lyk i used to have colored hair and using sulfate free shampoo helps it last longer
I was thinking about trying Maui moisture, glad I saw this! I’m very prone to reactions from soaps and such ;-;
I use Love Beauty & Planet, it works quite well for me and it’s colour safe as far as I know.
Thank you for making this video, it’s hard to find 2a/b routines!!
Ooo! I got one of their deep conditioning treatment packets, and I just LOVE the way it smells! I don't mind it lingering on my hair. I have to be careful with most other products though, if they're too perfumy they can give me a migraine.
hi, can you let me know which one of the love beauty & planet product? I've tried the lavender one but it makes my hair kinda frizzy
Yeah I definitely like pushing them back and hiding them sometimes 😋
my waves disappeared ages ago and i had no idea why. been binging videos like yours and it’s super helpful! when i first died my hair, it was thick and had nice waves and as i kept dying it, it got straighter and straighter. my hair is now mostly straight (tiny little waves are here and there) and super frizzy. to this day, i do not exactly know why my hair is so frizzy but i’m assuming it’s do with dying it and the fact that i lost my waves. i don’t know. this video is super helpful. thank you !
Do you deep condition it? It might help. You might want to get an Olaplex treatment or do a rice water rinse to help bring back your curls/waves.
No problem! I’d try protein treatments and deep conditioners🖤🖤
I use Hask Rose Oil and Peach shampoo and Garnier Whole Blends Coconut Oil and Cocoa Butter Smoothing Conditioner.
Finally someone with my type of wavy hair 🙌 2a/2b
I’ve never had an issue with Maui or Shea Moisture. I’m so sorry you’ve had a reaction to Maui!!! 😢
Oh good! I’m glad you haven’t! 🖤🖤 I wish I didn’t 🥺
It’s the “methyl” ingredients (or the itchy “m”s)! Not everyone has that reaction but it is common.
@@tuesdaynyx ah yes the itchy m’s or the methyl twins as my mother calls them (im very allergic)
I agree with the Maui moisture when you said that it makes ALL the since!!
your hair is gorgeous!
Yay! That’s exciting!🖤🖤
Aaahhhh your hair is so cute. I hope I can get mine to look like that again
No problem!🖤🖤
You’re the first you tuber who has hair that’s the exact same as mine. So excited! Thanks for the recommendations. ❤️
Awh yay!
Thanks!
Awh thank you! I’m glad it helped🖤🖤
I have the same hair type as you and Catwalk rocks! That stuff is perfect for wavy hair!
I don’t have wavy or curly hair but I still wanted to watch this video lol anyone else?
Do you ever brush it? I’ve been constantly brushing my hair my whole life and I have 2a hair
Did you dye your hair by yourself?? It looks great!!
I had the same issue with the Maui shampoo and conditioner!
Thank you your videos are sooo helpful! Also u r absolutley gorgeous 😍
I love your waves 😍 I'm currently trying to bring my over straightened hair back to what it should be, which I'm hoping is more towards 2b but I like my 2a too :) this was so helpful!
girl your color/cut/curl pattern is EVERYTHING if i didn’t go to a small town conservative school id be all over this 😔
Girl, you do you.
Do you have a video on how you style your bangs?
The haircut, the color, the style, the makeup 💄 your beautuful🙂
last year i started using cantu, the shampoo is gentle on my bleached, dry, frizzy hair but gives me the clean scalp feeling and the conditioner works amazingly on it too! i took a break from it for a couple weeks and only used it as a leave in while i tried some new products and i just went back to it this week and my hair feels sooo soft as if the masque i completely used up in its place was doing nothing! Its also everywhere and super cheap 🙌🏼🙌🏼🙌🏼
My bleached hair HATED the cantu shampoo :/ My hair felt extremly dry, i couldn‘t get them soft and moistred, even leaving a mask ob for 10 min didnt really help :(
@@ellimusicqueen i get oily scalp so i suppose i need a shampoo thats a little more harsh but out of the two i think the conditioner is the star
I find my hair is more curly when I use a leave in too. I love the natural blends hair food coconut one by garnier.
I'm going to try that "pulsing" towards the roots, never seen that before. Definitely worth a try, I'm excited! Thanks!
No problem!🥰
So I saw that whole "didn't know I had curly hair" tiktok trend, tried it, and turns out I have wavy hair. Honestly kinda stupid of me to not know since my dad has type 3b/3c lol
But, thanks for the video, cuz I'm new to having wavy hair, and I thought I'd killed any curls I'd had, because I also have bleached/purple dyed hair
How do you do your bangs? If I don't blow dry mine I have crazy cowlicks and it's a hot mess. I just got balayage pink in my hair so I'm hoping I can get more texture. Thanks for the product rec's!
omg i use that same deep conditioner after i bleach my hair, shit works wonders
i use jojoba oil too it’s soooo good! makes my hair thick and healthy 🥰 i have 2b and dyed my hair red a few years ago so the ends are a little dry
The herbal essences sulfate free shampoo is good at cleansing, leaves my hair clean, doesn't get oily as fast.
Love this, my hair is bright orange thank god I found you
Hi! What haircut do you have? I love the way your hair lays. I have similar hair and I have been looking for a haircut to fit my hair and yours looks perfect 🤩
I have a video on it!
@@melindab I watched it today! Thank you very much. 😁
This made me realize I actually have 2a-2b hair so now I know what products to look for 😭
My hair is so close to looking like yours.
Hlou89 I just let it air dry with the rest of my hair and push them back until everything is dry then I’ll pull them forward and straighten them ☺️
ur actually so pretty, luv ur complexion lol
Question for air drying. How do you go to work in the morning with wet hair all day? Or do you do it on the weekend and just refresh in the morning?
What hair color do you use? I love it💕
Omg you were in my recommended you look like me, same glasses similar wave pattern (mine is like this from damage normally I’m a 2c/3a) I even use the same pink hair dye. Love your channel, glad I stumbled upon it 💗 subscribed!!
Ashlee Chisholm Awh yay! That’s awesome🥰
