The Aputure MC Pro actually has an illuminance of 1,585lux/0.5m compared to the Zhiyun's CM15's 1,280lux/0.5m. The increased peak beam intensity despite less power and lumens, is due to the MC pro having a more focused beam profile. The MC Pro is also weatherproof and has x3 longer runtime than the CM15. The CM15 is an excellent value for money light, but I doubt many professional gaffers will be using it over the MC Pro.
@@stephenknight6596 yeah, that's why I choose* the mc pros over the Zhiyun CM20 (the "brother" of this CM15) but lot people is starting wondering if like Zhiyun, Aputure or even amaran, Will they ever create another MC alike with more wattage? *Also because all the lights we have at the studio are amaran/Aputure and it is heaven when you can control every light from the same app
@@stephenknight6596 great comment. I agree. I also forgot to mention the weatherproofing (it was in my outline, but I somehow forgot to mention it). Thanks.
Very useful!
Glad you think so! Thanks.
great
Thank you. I try.
Do you think aputure will enter the competition of making small form factor lights with high output (+10W) ?
Greetings from Mexico!
Hola! I don’t know but it’s a good guess they will. Amaran would likely make a great small light.
