You are the only one who showed how these lights are as a back light on the wall, which I am sure a lot of people would be interested in. Great review.
you sir, have quickly become my favorite review channel for film equipment. it feels like i’m visiting a very nice passionate grandpa telling about his hobbies and experiences. and I mean that in the best way possible
Nice video. I bought the ACE kit a month ago now and still don’t have it. They have the site now saying “preorder” but it wasn’t there when I ordered sadly. I’m excited to get mine eventually! Looks awesome
I know. It was crazy. I made my video and then amaran contacted me and told me that I had an engineering prototype and that that’s why it didn’t charge my phone. They sent me an RMA and want me to send my lights back to them in exchange for new ones. Apparently I wasn’t the only one who got engineering prototypes sent to them as finished units. They told me that they are doing some investigation and what happened. But even though it does sound suspicious, I can assure you that I did buy this with my own money. The good news for me is that amaran is now talking about sending me other products for review. That would be cool.
A small light is not gonna work as a key light. You need a COB light with as large as soft box as you can fit in the room. However, the 25C or X will work great with any key light as a hair light, accent, light, or background light.
I like the brightness of the Ace Pro and the fast charging, unfortunate the fan is not ip rated... It is totally possible considering their ip rated fixtures with fans, but I get it's their cheaper brand. That's why I hope some time in the future there can be a MC Pro ii, with the output of the Amaran but the pro features of the mc pro like crmx, ip rating, robust build etc.... But for now, I'd have to go with the Mc Pro. Plus, I don't often find my self maxing out the output on the MCs , or wanting more output from a light in that form factor.
I agree. I have no inside information but I have to imagine that an MC Pro II is in development. I mean, it only makes sense. Thanks for your insights.
I saw the light and wanted to try it out, but they are so unprofessional it makes me not want to buy it again. I ordered and they put my order in back or for 1 month each time a month passes. They delete comments on Instagram and don’t get back to me

You bought the engineering prototype (04:20) with you own money? Very interesting to hear. 😁

Glad you enjoyed it thanks for the comment.
ok so i have a small set im trying to light, I need set lights, accent, and key light. How can i mix and match those amaran 25c and 25x?
A small light is not gonna work as a key light. You need a COB light with as large as soft box as you can fit in the room. However, the 25C or X will work great with any key light as a hair light, accent, light, or background light.

i've been looking for a COB solution for travel. will this Ace 25 be the one? cant for the keylight video.
To be a versatile key light, you really need a more powerful light and one that can fit a softbox. But it a great light for hair or backgrounds.
sub! thanks for very informative review..
Thanks for the sub! Welcome aboard.
like your style
Thanks man. Appreciate it.
My type of comparison!
Thanks so much. It means a lot.
Most of the audio in this video is coming from the left channel. You might have touched the pan slider by mistake. 😉
Sorry for that. Too bad I can’t fix that after I posted. Thanks.
@@storybabble No worries. Btw, it might be interesting to do a comparison between this new light and the Zhyuin 25W or even the 40W.
great
Thanks Stefan. Appreciate it.
You forgett that the Aputure brand is now "PRO" and worth 50 USD more than anything with Amaran on it.
Very true. Very true.
🤣
Thank you for getting my sense of humor. It makes me happy.
@@storybabble Love It LOL

I have heard that they are on back order. Good luck.
In back order *. I contacted them and seems like they don’t want to refund me.
CRMX stands for Cognitive Radio MultipleXer
i dont think CMRX exists as the video suggests. Acronyms are wierd anyway. still subscribe.
That’s hilarious. It’s always interesting to find what stupid things I say in each video. Thanks for laughing along with me.
great video , thanks
You’re welcome. And thanks for commenting. It means a lot.
