    I have been told by several pro teachers over the years, that I need to get my body around to the target more at completion of the swing but never how.
    Your lesson was a big AHA moment for me in that your emphasis on the maintaining of the left arm pit & torso connection for some time after the strike has automatically just produced the rotation to the front that had been unavailable to me prior as well as better ball striking.

    Well explained! For myself, an over exaggerated straight back takeaway really helped.

    As always Harry, an excellent job with explaining the left arm move in the golf swing! This is a move I have been working on and although it's a work in progress, I am seeing positive results! The one thing I picked up from this video is the "connect with the upper arm and the armpit!" This I have not been concentrating on! Well Done
    Harry! Keep up the good work!

      @johnschwartz1536 thanks John, good to read you've been working on this, and the upper arm and armpit keeping them connected (touched in) is crucial to making this work. Try a few one handed swings, one without and one with keeping your arm touched in the whole way and you'll notice the difference immediately!

    great video. i struggle with the release and keeping L arm connected. This video helps. I'm a senior golfer and another nuance you mentioned is to make a good turn. I find myself making too much of an arm swing and that seems to promote L arm disconnection and a poor release. Thanks!

      @davedevore-j3u thanks for commenting, pleased you enjoyed the video. So a future video on keeping the L shape in the backswing would be great for you. Rotating and keeping the connection between the arms and the body?

    Can you explain the proper position of the left elbow, left wrist and left hand from starting position, back swing, down swing up to hitting the ball and up to the follow through? I often get confused about this part. Sometimes certains work for me ... sometimes they dont ...

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  4 дня назад

      @monrivera1083 great question and one for me to take note of for a future video. Is this on the backswing downswing or during impact you'd want me to focus on? Can be all three.

    • @monrivera1083
      @monrivera1083 4 дня назад +1

      @harryshawgolf ... Would it be ok if both? Could help me and other visualize the sequence. I play by fèel mostly. And I am not good in controlling the face of the club. Maybe if I could understand the proper position of the hand, i could eventually learn to control the face?

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  3 дня назад

      @monrivera1083 good thinking, i'll take note of this. It wont be until end of Dec/ early Jan for this video topic as i achieve a few already lined up. In the meantime to help control the club face it's worth taking a look at this video here: ruclips.net/video/7NhHSuThDTc/видео.html

    the release starts from P-1 to impact and continues through the follow through ?

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  4 дня назад

      @babaagha1 we want to release to ideally be more from the rotation of the forearms and that allowed the hands to move correctly.

    Hi Harry, how do the wrists work through the strike?

    • @harryshawgolf

  • @DASH1ful

    well, you will actually injure your wrist if you persist with that method

    • @desano1975
      @desano1975 4 дня назад

      Lol how

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  4 дня назад +1

      @DASH1ful if you have weeks wrists the club will feel heavier, so just grip down the club when rehearsing this one handed.

    • @DASH1ful
      @DASH1ful 3 дня назад

      @desano1975 Well, you are compressing your joints. Also, when a player presses down on the handle it causes a players right elbow to ride high in the backswing; and, the club to point to the right. Any compensatory measures that you undertake to correct this can only place a strain on your hand.

    • @DASH1ful
      @DASH1ful 3 дня назад

      @harryshawgolf the left hand and the lower left part of the neck should work as one unit. Ulnar deviation is a component of this.

      @peterscott1498 4 дня назад +1

      @ doesn’t have a RUclips channel. Students have uploaded their in person lessons. Principle is to keep hips level, start the downswing with leaning diagonally into the ball so staying closed. No hip bump or getting your hips under & spinning out

    • @harryshawgolf
      @harryshawgolf  3 дня назад

      @peterscott1498 Very interesting sounds like a good way to coach the golf swing. Where do i mention bumping the hips under and spinning out?

      @@harryshawgolf7:35 your left hip is getting below your right. The reaction to this is to tilt the pelvis under near impact
