Excellent job Phil in explaining to golfers that one should not be static in their golf swing! Golf is no different from any other sport! One's body should always be moving without tension for it to perform correctly! I try to free up tension in my body by a relaxed grip, loose wrists, and supple forearms! The minute that I stray from this, a lot can go wrong! Well Done Phil! Keep Up The Good Work!!!
This is a perfect video for where I am on my Easiest Swing journey. I am already playing my best golf ever, however, sometimes I get off track when I overthink the swing or tinker with swing feels to begin the swing. I will surely be rewatching this video again and again. Thank you!
Your swing is working well for me and I appreciate the instruction -one question -I seem to push everything about 30 yards left. Any suggestions please?
I’m pretty sure this exercise will straighten you out. If it does see if you can identify what it is that is overworking and causing you to swing out of line or close the club face. I’m assuming you are right handed? Although going left is usually termed pulling rather than pushing (if you are left handed replace closed with open) otherwise all the above should help along with this video This Swing Drill Redefines Your Ball Strikes - In 5 Minutes! ruclips.net/video/tciAWy1-5s4/видео.html
Alignment of feet matters. If your feet are forming an imaginary line facing right the ball will go right. You can try using a golf club to assist with the alignment. I hope this helps. I working on the same issue.
Hi im 65 great information two questions when doing a continue movement at address, when do you see aim to target line and club face in line of path ? So if your swing speed is < 80 do you have a senior shaft? I have a 27 hcp I try slowing the swing down it works for a short time but I return always feel like I'm rushing at top looking forward to reply great work and applied you to notifications on you tube thank s vince I have subscribe
Hi Vince good to have you on board! Answers to your questions 1) your alignment starts long before you address the ball, start by looking at the ball to target line from behind the ball and look for an intermediate target in the first ten yards beyond the ball. Once you have that point set go round to face the ball and set your club face square to that intermediate point just holding the club with your trail hand. Once the clubhead is square you can now square your stance and get into the movement described in the video. 2) I’m not sure where you picked the 80mph from but my own driver swing speed is 100-110mph so I use stiff shafts but you are right, if your driver speed is below 80mph you should look at senior shafts. Hope that clears those two issues up. 👍
Good stuff! I've recently been having problems (after 60 years playing golf) with my knees occasionally twisting at impact and causing pain. After experimenting, I've found a more upright arm swing and narrower stance prevents the knee problems.
Fantastic - one of my knees is on its way out so I can empathise but I have to say getting rid of the three deadly don’ts is critical to playing pain free in your sixties and seventies (and eighties!) 👍
Thanks. I've got a pretty good 'easy swing' on the range. People frequently stop by and remark on how easy, fluid my swing looks. HOWEVER, I can't do it consistently on the course. On holes I find easy - everything is fine. But most of the course, my swings suck. Mental tips on how to move your ideas, exercises to the course would be nice.
Start by being aware of how you feel internally and how your mind feels. Learning to calm and breathe in those circumstances can really help you to relax into your game. Consider joining the ES Club where we have loads of resources to help you with this.
With due apologies, first and foremost, it's about the mind, not the motion. The relaxed motion that we see in pros, low, and even seasoned mid handicappers (say HCP index of 12-15), is because of the confidence they have about the process and the outcome. The absence of that is the singularly most influential aspect in building up tension and destroying rhythm.
Did you know that motion relaxes the mind and lowers brain activity? You are right that anxiety and lack of confidence is at the root but motion can definitely help to overcome this.
@@Easiestswing You are right, of course. However, body awareness needs to be right up there so that these movements do not add sway, or early hip extensions, or unnecessary wrist movements etc. As a whole, the sporting, athletic and fitness community needs to accept and acknowledge that actually very few, as an overall percentage of the population, have very high athleticism, body-hand -eye coordination, flexibility, stamina, strength etc. For the average person, some of these things are very difficult to achieve, although it is certainly worth aspiring for. The plethora of instructions on the web makes it difficult for them to create a system. Golf, in my experience and understanding, is a game of contradictions. Focused, yet relaxed. Move, yet stay centred. Focus on the clubhead! No, on the ball! No, on the target! It's just mind-boggling. I can see that you are trying to decode this and make it easier for seniors or beginners. However, your own experience, expertise and confidence of playing the game for many many decades, may be also a hindrance in understanding what a non-athlete is going through in his body and mind.

Great tips, thank you. These warm-up exercises certainly help loosen me up now Autumn is here! 🍂 ⛳️😂
You're so welcome!
Good tip. I was hitting left the first 4 holes until I got loosened up. My right hip needs to turn slightly in the backswing, or I pull it left.
Yes!!!! Finish well
La Danse du Golf and ensuring you don’t get your lead heel stuck to the floor can really help to get you moving from the 1st tee
Easy breezy
