Once in bed, he has to be petted until he can lay down in between us both. It is crazy but we love him and he just turned 13 years old this year.
I rescued Mama and her babies 11 years ago. I got diagnosed with t1 diabetes and she lets me know if my blood sugar is low. If i'm sleeping she'll wake me to check it.
It strengthens the bond in my opinion. They’re scared and need support, and you are there for them in their most vulnerable moments. And they return the favor for as long as they’re alive.
It's because she loves you. One of my cats does this with his toys. He'll be 12 this year and I sincerely doubt this will ever stop now lol. He'll even come and bring me a toy fish while I'm sitting on the toilet lol.
I had a kitty who brought dirty underwear to my husband and me. We kept them in a laundry hamper, that was locked. We never could figure out how she stole them. Se was a lot of fun, and had personality plus, plus. She loved bring us gifts.
I really miss my 18 yr old cat best friend who passed 4 yrs ago. Her thing was that she had to snuggle, purr, and sleep with me every night. Don’t know why but I always shut my bedroom door at night, sometimes with her outside. She actually learned how to put certain vibrations on the door to get it to open. Luv you Cali 😢
It is so important to praise and thank a cat for bringing gifts :) When we had an indoor/outdoor cat; she would bring voles. Our Pug would grab them and snarf them! Yeah, I know, I know. But, our Pug lived to be very old. When feeding raw; put any wild meat in the freezer for a few months to kill any parasites.

This reminded me of my Bichon Frise, Bailey. He passed away 5 years ago at 14 1/2 years old. From the time he was a puppy, he used to steal my dirty underwear, hide them and then bring them out when there were visitors. He would lay them at the foot of visitors. Then he would shamelessly manipulate them to throw it so he could fetch it and do acrobatics. He put me through so many embarrassing moments. Damn, I still miss the guy. He was the most loving, kind, smartest and most hilarious best friend I've ever had.
Cats bringing you things is a sign of affection and feeding you. My cat is a house broken cat and goes outside to do his business ( I DESPISE a litter box) and brings all kinds of animals...mice, birds, chipmunk, squirrels, rabbits, etc etc......

Thank you to the dodo and all these beautiful cats and cat parents for sharing your hysterical, furry friends with us! They are so funny! My dog used to take one or two pieces of food out of her bowl, then bring it all the way into the other room toss it around and play with it a little while before she would eat it. A friend called it picnicking. She did this for years. And then she was diagnosed with diabetes where she had to eat on a schedule eat all of her food, then get a shot 30 minutes later. So I started having to put a few bites of chicken on her food so she would eat on a schedule and not play with her food. So now she eats on cue, but I miss her funny antics of her playing picnic with her food! somehow these cat videos reminded me of her. Thanks for the laughs and by the way, my dog is doing great! And she doesn’t even mind the shots.
The toilet paper made me laugh. My boy, Manny2 does his JAWS impression and he shreds the roll but keeps it on the roll so I have to unroll it to get all the shred off and use it to stuff my art projects.
My kitten sometimes drags around the toilet brush by its handle. Which I got a new one and taped the holder closed, he just dragged the whole thing around, container and all.
