I listened to this song a lot in 2017 after I lost my FT job and couldn't find any type of work for almost 8 months, despite having multiple interviews. I never turned employment down; I just kept getting rejected. I never give up, though. I'm in a PT job that barely pay bills. I just keep looking for a 2nd job and I know the right position will present itself.

This woman has so much energy and raw talent, when she started doing her thing, specially after she dropped one thing,I felt about her like the world feels about Beyonce, she has been very underated by the industry and the public, while a lot of trash out there gets hailed,but this is the world we live in.
Anthony Harris It's such a shame that she was overshadowed by Beyonce. They were both on Sony (when Beyonce went solo) around the same time, had a similar vibe, look and musical beats at the time. I prefer Amerie over Beyonce any day, but it's difficult to have two similar artists under the same label.

I really use to adore Beyoncé in early 00s but after that she became arrogant and too much attitude like I am an no one else and her songs and performances didn’t look like before , no massive hits anymore …. She behave like she is an arrogant selfish diva queen . I don’t like that . At all. I prefer jlo is more down to earth after so much success and u can see how much she loves what she is doing. Beyoncé was from a rich family and her parents involved in music industry if that can help with your sentence “made it her own” of course is talented as hell but if she didn’t have the right connections in this business maybe she could never be the successful Beyoncé we know. Amerie is an amazing artist in the same level with Beyoncé if she continues her career maybe could more successful and famous than Beyoncé you never know. Is not about talent in this industry is about connections. Do you know how many talents are outside you will never know or you will never knew because they don’t have the connections to get into industry. Because fighting for their dream full of talent but because they don’t have marketing connections and working in jobs they hate to make money to be able to afford their lessons and trainings but there are nowhere ??? One person you can say did everything from zero is jlo ! Poor family , no involved in industry and she fucking work her ass hard , literally kill herself in dance acting and somehow she did it but this is very rare you have to be very focus and this happened in late 70s early 80s. She finally became famous at her 31 and her career started at that time. So please don’t tell me about Beyoncé !
