I’m alone in my home, eating my second bowl of aglio e olio (don’t judge me!) and watching Carla make yummy pork burgers. What could be better? Nothing!

I’ve made recipe this a few times and I have found that I prefer a finer cut on the cabbage. I feel like the cabbage (especially green cabbage) is sturdy enough to hold up against the warm patty without getting all wilty.

it's so weird, where i'm from we would never dream of turning this particular cabbage into slaw and thus a condiment for burgers. but to you it's natural. food is truly amazing!

Carla I did your Gojuijan Salmon last night....OMG ! It was delicious. Got my 7 year old eating Salmon ! That's a miracle, instead of the "quickles" I served it with sliced Avocado and drizzled lemon on top of avocado.

i don’t buy a lot of cookbooks even though i love to cook. i’m picky what can i say! but carla makes me wanna buy a cookbook! namely hers!
Its always so fun consuming other cultures media :D In Germany and I believe in most parts of Europe we don't really eat that much beef to begin with and pork is so common here, that it always sounds a little funny watching cooking shows from america where pork is always sold as this exotic thing. I find that the type of bun I'm using dictates the condiment(s) placement. Soft buns don't hold up as well as sturdier buns if the condiments are juicy.

I actually feel like that decision to put the slaw on top and bottom of the burger is significant. I debate about where condiments/flavors should go because in certain layer orders, you get much less a sense of the flavor of it. I'm kind of all about the condiments (flavors). but the burger actually does look delicious too. thank you

Technically pork is cooked at 145. You can have pink in pork and it be done. Mostly with bigger cuts because if turns all white you miss out on a lot of juiciness if you pull it at 145. But without a thermometer the white is good for eyeballing. Glad the crew from BA is making vids on their own channels. I will definitely try this recipe, I found a good way to make ground pork with only a knife.

In the book, you forgot to tell us what to do with the cumin and cayenne pepper 😜
if its iceburg lettuce, which it should be for a burger, it can go anywhere. if it's that fancy shit, you know, because you're an a hole. then it needs to go on the bottom, so the weight of the burger holds it down.
