Gonky. GE engineer here. Use when you want to give Mover a good jab. The CFM56 engines on the 737’s were developed from the F110 engine on the Viper. The Hornet and Super Hornet engines (F404 & F414) have no civil applications. So the Hornet has a sports car engine and the Viper has a bus engine.
@@themoverandgonkyshow Hey Gonky. many thanks!! I have an af related port story from 1983 when I was a midshipman. I was on a merchant ship headed from NYC to IPSwitch in the UK it was near an RAF base wattisham. I got off the ship and was headed to see the sights in London. I decided to take the train into london. I went around to various places in pica dilly circus and decided to head back to the ship. I took the train and for some reason we had to get off the train to catch another train to get back to ipswitch. Anyway this 10 or 11 at night and starting to get cold waiting for this train. There must have been 10 or 15 people waiting for the connecting train. Everybody is ok making the best of a situation except for 2 guys. These guys started complaining rather loudly to this group of us that had some older folks (50s and 60s and 70 year olds) about how the train system sucks and its not like this in the US. They were going on and on and About how it sucked. I kind of knew that they weren't going to get much sympathy from the people that survived the battle of Britain and WW2 in general. Finally one of the kindest looking elder gentlemen in prim and proper english dress replete with black bowler on his head walks over to these two guys turns around blows a loud fart into their faces. The rest of the crowd cheered and laughed hysterically. These guys finally shut up. About a half hour later a bus showed up to take us tge rest of the way to ipswitch. Lesson learned Dont be the ugly american.

Really enjoy the stories.
should the Navy transition to supersonic trainers, like the USAF? or sub-sonic good nuff?
you folks should consider sizing the disclaimer according to the "severity" of the commentary--sort of like the defcon state used in the movies.
