Great work Peter! I also like the Mod27, and I am go to purchase one sooner or later. To keep the arduino board isolated and prevend a short circuit I always use a balloon. Simply insert the Arduino into the balloon and it is protected all around. Double-sided tape may fall off over time.
I would love to see a video where you explain how to set up the software and get your display to work. Keep racing, my friend and stay save!

nice idea with the balloon, I'd be slightly concerned about the condensation over time though, re display setup - email me if you need any help, but that might actually be a good idea for a video:)
