The Evolution of Adam Swanson's “Maple Leaf Rag”

Adam Swanson is a world-renowned pianist of vintage American popular music, specializing in ragtime, early jazz, and the Great American Songbook. He is the only four-time winner of the World Championship Old-Time Piano Playing Contest and has been a featured performer and lecturer at ragtime and jazz festivals both across the United States and internationally.
The "Maple Leaf Rag" is an early ragtime musical composition for piano composed by Scott Joplin. It was one of Joplin's early works, and became the model for ragtime compositions by subsequent composers.

Maple Leaf Rag sounds really good on a Steinway. It doesnt have that honky tonk feel to it, but it still bangs enough, to not forget its roots
