Synopsis: Fresh out of prison, Pat Tate (Craig Fairbrass) steps right back into his Essex nightclub business. But although the money is good, he can't stop brooding about the man who had him put away. It's not long before he's off to Marbella to find Frank Harris and seek his revenge. But Harris is long dead and the middle man Terry Fisher (Andrew Loveday) offers Pat the biggest drug deal of his life. All Pat needs is for his pals Tony (Terry Stone) and Craig (Roland Manookian) to deliver the cash from Essex to close the deal. But Craig being Craig, turns a simple plane trip to a massive road trip with a stolen VW van and its hippie German owner in tow.
All Tony wants is to make it back in time to support his mate Nigel Benn at the boxing match of his life. But when their cash gets stolen and Pat is threatened by a local firm, Pat comes up with an even more audacious plan and to get them back to England in time for Tony to walk Nigel Benn out to one of history's greatest fights.

Craig is a brilliant actor. Very underrated in my opinion.
After being in Stargate SG1 Hollywood should have noticed, a really good and mean looking character actor.
Your having a laugh. If the part doesn’t have a gangster with a south London accent then Craig fairbrass won’t be in it. I like him but I would never describe him as a brilliant actor.
He should have played Nick Stone.

I look forward to Rise of the footsoldier 8: School Days. Pat and Tony are in detention (again!) at Basildon Comprehensive. Tony Tucker (played by Terry Stone, 55) is in trouble for having a hairstyle that contravenes school rules, while Pat (played by Craig Fairbrass, 61) has been involved with an altercation with a Dinner Lady over the topping of a pizza served in the school canteen.

Craig Fairbrass and Bill Murray are the best British actors when it comes to gangster movies.
Yeah they are great, you need a mix of actors if you are using ex-underworld their acting lacks a bit. Actors often come from stage schools and it shows. Bill Murray seems to be trying to get in every single gangster film going and I agree he's great.

I love these characters, the first one is absolutely legendary so I just love seeing these characters back together on screen.

These films are funny, because of the nuance they carry. Chemistry makes the nuance. These guys can and do actually make each other laugh and it shows.

Loved the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 5th version of this series.
I think the 3rd of 4th was my fave, it had a hint of THE BUSINESS about it.

Really enjoy listening to this film a fan point of view, it brings a brilliant light to those that play school real life underworld heavies... Must have been amazing back in the day... I used to be with security firms, and that as a sales angle could be of interest.... Impressed with your focus on camera performance
They all seem like good lads to be fair. Fairbrass looks like my uncle who is also a naughty geezer, but he earns an honest living doing scaffolding, no glamour there!

I love watching Fairbrass as Pat Tate, and Craig and Tony make good sidekicks.
You could go in a slightly different direction and rip off some other films like sexy beast.
Maybe after throwing the pills away there is a contract out on all 3 of them and they have to do something like a robbery, so maybe go Oceans 11, but a london version of it.
Get Tamer Hassan in on it too.

Agreed Col, they've flogged the Range Rover killings to death and these latest films on the 3 are fiction. There are other much bigger gangsters to base a film (or series) on, or create a fictitious story in this genre.

I don't know if they did or not , but one things sure if they are really guilty films like these don't help the situation ,I've watched other docs on it and many say they didn't ,other like you say they did kill them ,and you're probably right, I think they are the right men, i heard a comment from a prison officer and he said Steele protested his innocence he also said Steel was very calm cool collect and never would bring a guy like Nichols as getaway driver, but I doubt they told Nichols even if they really are innocent.

They should make a film about the security express robbery then how Fred Foreman and other South London faces turned the Costa into a gangsters paradise ,aka Costa Del Crime . 83 to 89 when they came and threw Fred out. I always remember reading about them in the sun newspaper it would make a great film and they didn't come much bigger than Freddie Foreman

Dead guy. I was 17 and it was hard not to read it due to the fact they had Fred Foreman's face sprawled all over the cover, I never said I believed what the rag of a paper printed. And Freddie and his pals from South London did turn the Costa into a Gangster's paradise ,I wish i was there during that time.
Mark Harrington. All the talk about the Kray's being the No 1 makes me laugh ,all they could do was fight they couldn't rob. And they wouldn't have been the force they were without Freddie, I was amazed Fred was gonna have both killed if they had beaten their trial. After Fred got out he went from strength to strength .
