- This British crime epic charts the inexorable rise of Carlton Leach from one of the most feared generals of the football terraces to leader of a notorious gang of criminals who rampaged their way through London and Essex during the late 80s and early 90s. Leach became entwined in a violent series of events, which culminated in the Rettendon Range Rover murders of 1995.

@@VanceRefrigeration He probably means this is the extended version with scenes that the theatrical release didn't have and he's right, this _is_ the extended version but the OP is right also because even though this is the extended version some parts have been edited out. For example they didn't show the actual injecting of the truth serum into the mens' necks during the interrogation scene which you do see on the blu-ray.

Can't believe this movie has a 6.8 rating on IMDB and a 17% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. This movie is a Masterpiece and probably one of the best Gangster Movies ever made. The violence is as Brutal as they come. And that's how it should be, enough with the so called symbolism, movies should be real and hard hitting and this one surely was. Highly Recommended...
To me this is like the British version of goodfellas definitely one of the best gangsta movies ever made

Strange how anyone who gets involved in crime ends up dead, imprisoned or in hiding.
It's almost as if the film's trying to tell people something.
OR they survive(by snitching), write a book which gets turned into a movie, start a podcast then make millions off it.

There are regulations in TV and cinema about glorifying crime, that’s why most end in tragedy. It’s also a typical story arc.
Those who live by the sword shall perish by it. R.I.P. to all victims of crime but those 3 went beyond Liberties.
Easily the best in the series. Fantastic movie.

It wasn't a series. The movies after this were just cheap rip offs with the same actors playing characters.
Awesome to see its back online, but its not the full unedited version. The full version was on youtube for years, i had it saved in my downloads to show people who hadn't seen it. One of, if not, my favorite movies ever.

Not watching it now they’ve cut so much out of it. This is why I keep buying DVDs because the powers that be decided what we can watch and what we can’t what a waste of time 🤬

There is a movie called "Freebie and the Bean" from 1974 with Alan Arkin and James Caan who play policemen. There is a fair bit of swearing and police violence. Whenever it came on TV in Perth (WA) they did not know what bits to censor!
Mind you when "Blazing Saddles" was in TV the channel dubbed out the farting in the 'baked beans scene'.

Honestly this is the best British crime film ever made, along with Arnold Schwarzenegger this film inspired a passion in Gym training for me that I still have to this day, not to mention it's innovative "who-dunnit?" ending that inspired a generation of online detectives determined to find out the truth about who really killed Pat Tate, Tony Tucker and Craig Rolfe. Just a shame it's been tarnished by a silly run of never ending and increasingly fictional sequels

Its one of the best movies they've made in last few decades... i feel so connected to this movie....it reminds me of my teenager time till i was late 20s... it was so fun for me and my friends because we earned too good and too many hot girls around but in late 20s i totally quit doing such things...bcoz if i wouldn't quit I'd dead or in prison years ago... u should know when to cash out and walk away... believe me , its too hard to walk way from all of those satisfactions and life style

I first saw this film quite a few years ago. Just watched it again here after watching James English interview Steve Nipper Ellis (who Jimmy Gerenuk, the Welsh bloke was based on) and makes it more interesting.

You can hear Pat Tate scream "Nooo" after the 1st gunshot was fired and that same voice line of him screaming "Nooo" was re-used in the game "Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2" during "Ghosts death" in the games campaign as the actor for Pat Tate (Craig Fairbrass) also voiced Ghost during the game.

So after Rolfe was shot the other two didnt even attempt to get out of the car didn't even open the doors and while they stopped fo a second to let mick open the gate Craig decided to turn the ignition off on a freezing cold night when he might well have had trouble starting it up again. So many loopholes in the case it's ridiculous 😅
