I had good instructors at my driving school, but nervousness and wanted to be more prepared I subscribed to your helpful channel. I passed my road test and somehow I still find it interesting to watch.
+Conduite Facile I've been driving for more than 25 years. I've worked as a driver and as a driving instructor. I've driven thousands of cars (most from the same brand though) and I still learn something new once in a while.
I was trying to do a u-turn tonight as I took my coworker home and made this exact mistake at an intersection. I felt so embarrassed and did something that could’ve caused an accident. I definitely want to practice this more. I’m a new-ish driver. As far as being able to finally drive more consistently, but I feel more confident when I drive alone, oddly
Your voice is so soothing while instructing i think new drivers need this...if the instructor is hard thats enuf for driver to be more nervous in understanding the stuff...thanks for ur videos..
my driving exam is tomorrow, September 27th. My anxiety is skyrocketing. I'll keep y'all posted. Wish me luck! Update September 27, 2021: I passed the test
I love your video tutorials and explanations ! I've been watching for a while and happy to say that I took my test which was past due, due to fear of driving and anxiety (I ride horses better and with confidence) and passed my test!! I appreciate your videos!
this is so far the best explanation of the most basic principles to learn essentials of driving in the simplest way, specifically in making turns. thank you so much.
I don't know how to drive yet due to being afraid but I'm planning on taking classes soon, these videos help eliminate all of my fears of driving, thank you!
you are a awesome instructor ☺ thank you for building up my confidence through such high quality instructional videos. wish you were in Queensland, Australia. I would definitely ace my test.
Very important for beginners is when to release or slide the wheel to make a smooth turn. This is the usual fault they release it either late or advance and make the car wiggly when straightening the car.
Hi conduite. Thanks for your videos, they've been very helpful to improve my driving. I really appreciate it :) Can you do a video on right-of-ways soon?
Could you do a video explaining gears switching? Like should you give a bit of gas while going from 4th to 5th gear. And how to extend clutch life while switching gears.
Had my first lesson yesterday and i am gonna go to my second one in few minutes. Thank you a lot, your videos help me a lot. I was wondering if you have any advice to give for amateur students that feel unsure when to make turns/or in roundabouts cus there are cars in the far distance (like i tend to feel uneasy when i have to go on/ when there are other cars in the far distance going towards where i wanna go, my driving instructor told me that, the examiner might not like that and fail me) Guess it all comes down to experience, hopefully as lessons go by i will become more and more confident and be able to drive without worrying too much
Hi! Could you please make a video for those with driving anxiety or possible fear/phobia of driving? For instance, if someone was in a bad car crash or witnessed one, and that causes fear for them now. Perhaps tips on overcoming the driving and accident anxiety over the possible danger of driving. That would be super helpful. I know people who can really appreciate a video or two about driving with more confidence for those who are afraid to get back to the wheel or drive for the first time. Thanks!
awesome tutorial! do you have tutorial about how to straighten the tyres , as I really get confused with turns on steering wheel i.e 1/2 turn or 1.5 turn , thanks!
Hi could please post the video for details about taking the U turn on traffic signal controlled junction like four way junction and T junction which is controlled by traffic signal lights. Because on this case where I can't stop and look for a clearance and I have to take the turn while I am driving. I am having problem on this , I don't know how much exactly how to turn steer and how much acceleration I have to give etc., could you please video for this
this may be a dumb question: but how do i know when i'm "exiting" the turn? i'm having a hard time of knowing when to let the steering wheel go.... in any case! thanks for all the videos you make and post!!! it's helping me greatly! i'm learning how to drive! yay!
Hello! I have my test today, and I really wanna make sure I pass it. Im confident in my driving skills but U-turns aren’t something I’ve had a ton of practice in. I’m taking it in a new city and this cities dmv requires you to do a U-turn in the test. However, I’m driving a very wide-berth car (Toyota Camry from 2003) would i do the same in your tight turns video a give my self that extra bit of room taking the turn bu going to the rightmost part of the lane? Or no, just do what was said in the video above? If you don’t see this until later that okay. And thank you! Your video made it extremely easy to understand how to do a u-turn and uncomplicated it all. :)
I want to share my experience because of U-turn,the examiner asked me to do an U-turn in a up downhill narrow road which is also one way....I think this is illegal but I cannot defend myself... I need your advise because they failed me in my exam...the engine were turn off 5times because it is impossible to do the manuever.
I can't really give you advice because I wasn't there, I have no idea of what the situation was, but what I can assure you of, is that you cannot do a Uturn against the direction of traffic.
Thank you for all the information you provide us. All your videos are very helpful. I'd like to ask you:with manual gear, should one use the clutch while doing the U turn? Thank
It always depends on the laws of where you're driving and the intersection itself, but if it's allowed, yes, you do follow the same rules as for a left turn.
Hi Sir! I thank you, for the very helpful videos in your channel. But please can I ask some tips about the roundabouts if how much steering should I make in just a tiny roundabouts, it’s hard for me to identify on how much turn should i make. Any techniques? Thank you in advance
Please do a video on how do you know you are too close to the car infront of you when parking. Like those tight parking situations even Ina driveway. What reference point can we use in the day and night
They more or less apply all over North America. Panels are almost all the same too. But you still have to check locally especially for rules. Laws usually apply across countries, states, provinces, and rules usually apply at the municipal level, so cities , or even municipalities might have different rules. At least, that's why it works here.
I think she/he means that when you are in the exam and the examiner tells you to pull over, park or emergency parking ( 3 might mean the same ). How to do that ?
I have a hard time driving on one way streets. When I'm turning into another one way street which lane do I turn into ? I'm so used to the other streets 2 way.
Can you tell me if i am allowed to make an u turn in a red light? Since the oncoming traffic is stopped, it seems safer for me to make an u turn on a red light. but i can not make a left turn on red lights, then I probably shouldn't be taking you turns on red light. Can anyone clarify the rules?
Hi your videos are very helpful . please when will you be doing a video on vision. that's a great problem with we student driver's. thanks and God bless.
Actually, that's the biggest problem with student drivers. I've got three videos on "turning" coming this spring, where vision is the biggest problem, and I've got one specifically on vision coming too. Meanwhile you can watch this one, it deals with vision too: ruclips.net/video/ASx4JtLvx_M/видео.html
If u-turn is allowed but it is for both directions, I am on the left most turn, then do I u turn from the nearest part of the turn or the farthest part of the turn...to go to the other side? not sure if I am explaining this well.
yr videos great ..and help lots to pass their exam...my question is when i U-turn (specially tight uturn like at st-jean )..i cant go to the lanet i should ..how do i turn so that i to the immediate left lane while doing UTURN FOR LEFT
Well, sometimes you just can't go straight into the first lane, depending on the width of the median. In this video, the median is pretty wide so I was able to do it. But if the median is not that wide, It's either you have to go into the lane on your right before turning and you'll be able to go into the left lane after turning, or you stay in the left lane before turning, but you'll have to go into the second lane after turning. Just make sure there's nobody in those lanes.
I have a problem with u turn.. If I turn the steering full in narrow u turn. When iam out of the turn iam about to hit the side... If I turn the steering wheel less. I am out of the turn but out of my lane.. Need more about u turn pleeees
I am student driver . I was making a u turn today . I was allowed to make a u turn. And there was green light. And I watched out for oncoming cars on the opposite lane... but when i was taking a u turn the car behind me honked at me ... I don’t know why?
Don't make the turn unless you're 1000% certain you can make it in one smooth motion. The only greater shame than those glares through your passenger side window from opposing traffic as they slow down or stop to not run into you during your pitiful efforts to 3 point turn after running into the curb. Is that very same glare through that very same window when you're stopped at the light, they could have made if you didn't mess up.
Imagine the U turn in iraq, you have cars coming at full speed, you have to turn slowly and show the front of the car to "scare" them and make them slow down so you can turn.

Depends on how tight the turn is. If it's very tight, you could keep your foot on the clutch. If it's wide, not really needed.
Your video help me alot on u turn pls can you do a video on high way overtaking
I like your all your videos and I am new learner. Can you explain a video on how to stir in the round about?

It always depends on the laws of where you're driving and the intersection itself, but if it's allowed, yes, you do follow the same rules as for a left turn.
I am in Ontario. Do you creep up while waiting for incoming traffic like left turns?
when you "u" turn, which lane do you end up in? Right or left?
Jo Hova mostly right
If the U Turn is really wide, you go into the left one. If not, the right.
You missed one thing by the way.
When to stop and when to steer before taking a u turn
very clear. great explanations!

+xhallfame What do you mean by that exactly?
I think she/he means that when you are in the exam and the examiner tells you to pull over, park or emergency parking ( 3 might mean the same ). How to do that ?
This is preaty interesting.
can one do a U -Turn on a two lane?
Can i make a U-Turn in a Junction without land separating a lane like the one above.
Will the steering wheel recenters itself even when not accelerating after a turn?
No. You need to accelerate.
Thanks for this video is very helpful.... And I would ask you if you can make a road sign board ,thank you
Actually in Sweden you can make a U turn if left is prohibited and vice versa

A Uturn is a turn to the left (in countries where you drive on the right that is), so no, you cannot turn left on a red light.

If you happen to use a manual transmission car, do you turn using just clutch control speeds or you put on gas a little bit?
thanks. how do I know at what point I can turn?

Some people honk for no reason. If you haven't done anything wrong, ignore them.

Thank you this is helpful
Thank you alot ....please explain slowly you are vary fast...but thank you alot its vary short way to explain U tern
You can slow dow the speed on the RUclips player. On the bottom right there's a button for that.
Don't make the turn unless you're 1000% certain you can make it in one smooth motion.
