Great video, very early in my watching collecting journey I had the salmon dial variant of this piece. Loved it! Wished it would have hacked, but definitely gives you the feels of an actual 36mm explorer.
Thank you and it absolutely does, not like I've ever had a rolex that is, but I can imagine the fit is similar though the rolex will be superior in every way.
Excellent thorough review Wes. The two things I like are the Seagull movement - my experience is that they are very good. I also do like the handset! The price is good for what you get. Although, I think it’d worth paying a couple of pounds for some wire wool to finish those lugs! However, I wouldn’t buy this nor the Rolex Explorer that it’s based on: to me it’d be like buying the painting that you’ve already seen lots of times and that everybody else has!
Apart from the large Alpha on the dial a great looking watch for the price of $125, I think the downsides for this are perfectly OK in this price point. I wear a 36 mm Date Just daily and it really wears well on my smaller wrist.
I'm watching your video this alpha looks nice I've been debating about getting one. If you don't want to buy a case back opener you can get a rubber ball works perfectly 👌
I just bought it, yesterday...still waiting for it to arrive. The clasp, well it looks cheapy but comfortable indeed, was thinking ordering another clasp but in the end..you can't tell, it is comfy and hell...it is cheap watch that looks great.
Great review,I think they do a 39/39.5 version aswell,I think better for my 7inch wrist although I've been enjoying smaller watches lately. Here's a question though, those lugs look quite long, how does a leather strap look on it,I'm worried there would be a big gap?🤔👍
Thank you and unfortunately I haven't tried it on a leather so I can't really say if there would be a big gap. I'll have to see if I have a spare one to try it out
Wow, thanks for the great review mate... 😁 Now I know why I should get the Tisell Explorer Automatic 39mm homage: Better crown Less crowded dial Nice non-polished lug curves Milled clasp High beat Miyota 9015 4hz movement Better lume Almost wanted to pull the trigger in this watch... Thanks mate. 😊 👍
Hey guys, what are your thoughts on this Alpha watch? Are you a fan, or are you getting fed up of homages?
Cool looking watch and one I need to get on the channel. Good video, keep up the great work mate 👏
Thanks very much and I'd definitely recommend checking one out. It's pretty great value

Humm that would be perfect for the wife salmon dial on a leather strap
Another good video on the Alpha Explorer 36. It makes me like mine even more.
Thank you. Really appreciate that. Apologies for the late reply. RUclips is messing up my notifications.
Really nice review sir!
Appreciate that. Thanks 👍
Great review mate! What a bargain! On the price I thought you was going to say about £200+ so I was surprised.
Thank you, I was quite surprised by the price too. All it needs is an improvement for the bracelet and it would be a real winner
@@WesWatchRoom Absolutely agreed on the bracelet. Let’s hope it get’s an update with that improvement. Nice footage! 👌🏽
@@Thewatchera1 hopefully and thanks for that
It’s a masterpiece
Hi I had one of these I think it was my first footstep into the watch rabbit hole
Very nice way to fall into the hobby. Thanks for watching

Thank you and I totally get where you're coming from. I might actually try smoothing the brushing to see if it makes it any better.
It has a pressed clasp in keeping with a Rolex Oyster bracelet. My Rolex Oyster Perpetual bracelet is similar in looks and features.
Oh, thanks for the information. I wasn't aware of this. Much appreciated. Still, I'd rather have a milled clasp.
I have old miyota Alpha explorer , loud rotor but I love it .
Yeah they are a touch loud but its still a good one for sure

It's definitely good value and I actually don't mind the logo and I agree, the 36mm is perfect for slim wrists 👍
I like alpha watches. Very clean looking watch. They have done a nice job with that one 👍👍
I definitely am too. Hopefully I'll be able to get some more
They are masterpieces
Nice watch. Well made vid thanks
Thank you kindly
good review i do like the clean look of the watch
Thanks very much and me too
SUPER MONTRE MERCI POUR LA VIDÉO

Thanks very much and appreciate the tip
@@WesWatchRoom happy to help out
This bracelet might be cheap, but it sure is one of the most comfy ones I have ever worn.
I would agree, super annoying but comfortable. Thanks for watching and have a great time over the holidays.

To be fair, the brushing on the lugs isn’t far off from the brushing on old Rolex watches. It’s probably better than 70’s Rolex brushing.
The bracelet is also about what you’d get on an older Rolex apart from finishing. They also used to use hollow links, endlinks and stamped clasp.
I suppose they're keeping it true to how it was. Never really thought about it like that. Cheers

@@WesWatchRoom that would be appreciated, thanks man 😃👍
@@twitchyjambo you're welcome
@@twitchyjambo do you have Instagram? So I can show you a pic of on a leather strap.
@@WesWatchRoom yeah I do Paul Miller 😃👍
Very pretty watch!
Absolutely, it's a real looker. Rolex did wonders with the original.
Wow, thanks for the great review mate... 😁
Now I know why I should get the Tisell Explorer Automatic 39mm homage:
Better crown
Less crowded dial
Nice non-polished lug curves
Milled clasp
High beat Miyota 9015 4hz movement
Better lume

Thanks mate. 😊 👍
I actually really like the Alpha "Paul Newman" not so much of a fan of this one though
I'm hoping to get that next as it looks great. I understand why you don't like this one though
Couldn’t agree more Sir. Not all of us are trust fund babies……..nothing wrong with an honest homage. Fakes, on the other hand………….
Thanks very much and that's true, we all don't have tonnes of money.
Movement and power reserve👎,nh35 better👍👌
Fair enough, I don't mind it but yeah the NH35 is a better spec movement
Logo is WAY too big and out of place.
I think it's okay but I guess it's not going to suit everyone
