Wow, an actual tutorial that teaches the software, and not hyperfocused on photorealism being a beginner thing! I must be dreaming!

very useful thx man
I stopped using Blender for a while and I just needed a quick recap of the basic controls without going on a deep overview of the software and this helped me A LOT. THANK YOU.

Just getting back into Blender after an 18 year hiatus. It sure has changed and I have lost most of what I did know back then. But thanks to you it's all coming back now. Back then you couldn't even undo. you had to constantly save so if you screwed up you could just close out and reopen the last saved good one.
@@moneymastery747 Blender is 28 years old lmao
i think its great you return can u tell me anthing i should know??
same here
wow I hope your hearing is ok and you learned back a lot of what you used to know :)
holy god 18 years?
THIS IS ACTUALLY SO NICE AND EASY TO USE DUE TO HIS AMAZING EXPLAINATION THAT WE ALL WANTED.
easy enough for me to understand lol

Thank you for starting at the very basics. Its refreshing to click on a tutorial that doesn't treat beginners like they know everything or jump straight into modelling.
Thank you so much, I am just starting out and need this so much, I am trying to build my own game for my daughter and her friends, and I don't really like using the free models in Roblox Studio, so this is super helpful, thank you so much.
Awww thats nice 😁
How is it goimg bro?
@@whostolethebeans4537 Slow 🤣 but I won't give up trying. Thanks for asking.

I’m brand new to blender and this guide was excellent. Clear and straight to the point on the basics. You’re awesome. Thanks! I gave a like 👍
Nice tutorial! Really understood it. Liked the fact that you focused on actually teaching the basics than teaching how to make a doughnut
Honestly this is one of the best tutorials that an beginner modeler can learn from

Thank you man this is really going to help me out when I get into the media arts class can’t wait to whizz past the school projects so I can make some of my own
This felt very informative and easy to understand and follow with for a total beginner like myself. Thank you
Ive learned so much the past 1/2 weeks by watching u and many other creators
I used to be able to make models like you, but then I stopped using blender for like a year then I reinstalled it and I forgot everything I learned from you, thank you for this
Always good to have a session every month or so to not be completely rusty
I JUST installed blender and THIS tutorial is EXACTLY what i needed! Thank you so much because i cannot TELL you how many times i closed it and had to walk away from my desk cuz people just dont tell you how to MOVE in this program! THANK YOU!!! biggest hugs and sending all the vibes!!
i went from source level editing to this and it bugged me for so long, most of the tutorials out there were just ridiculous and it stayed install on my pc for a year or more and then i finally found this video and it inspired me to touch the program and i've learnt more in under 5 minutes of this video than i have done from any other video i have ever watched about blender... THANKYOU! :)
Genuinely one of the best guides. So much throws more than necessary, but this actually shows how to use the program
Thank you! Helped allot. Most tutorials are too fast phased and people make it really difficult to explain more. Was having fun experimenting with stuff. Now I know how to use CTRL Z so it helps me allot if I accidentally mess up. Thank you. :)
I ve never worked with Blender before up until now and THANK YOU so so much for this! Now I have a great overview and the perfect base of knowledge to start ♡♡
Thanks for the tutorial, it has kickstarted my motivation to learn Blender as there's so much to learn and it is daunting. Now I can at least create basic objects and move and manipulate them so I am happy about that.
as a person whose been using blender for well over 5 months i feel strange watching this video
lol, same
I have used it for months too, but just for roblox avatars renders so this video is really useful
your beginner basics is gold! finally get the basic after years of learning blender
Very clear, concise instructions. I even appreciated the admonishment of "Players" and "Modelers" there near the end. It gave me a sensible chuckle.
thank you for this tutorial robuilder! other tutorial just had scarce info or were so longgg... your tutorial is perfect ill reffer anyone to this vid if they ask me how to do blender! you are awesome.
facts
thank you so much for having an actual beginners tutorial because I' was looking for one everywhere that didn't have photorealism of like coding n stuff so tysm and I hope too watch ur vids more in the future.
Thank you for your quick and concise explanation of the most basic steps in Blender and not convoluting it with unnecessary crap such as your neighbor driving by or your dog passing gas. Sounds like many people benefited from this video. How about continuing with a few more.
I don't usually comment but this tutorial was AMAZING! Appreciate you taking the time to make this🙌 I'll definitely be checking out your other vids💯
Thank you! I really needed a blender tutorial
Massively helpful for navigating! this gives someone enough confidence to at least start playing around with the program, and I know this saved me in particular lots of time and frustration tears, many thanks!! 👌👌
This was probably the most helpful tutorial I've found while trying to make 3D assets for the first time for a game! A lot of other tutorials would skip over how to do the most basic but important parts of modeling, and then simply show you how to do a million different things in Blender with little to no time given to each concept. This one helped me understand what I'll be using most of the time and that's all I need to understand how to get started.
Exactly what I was looking for 🙏. All those other complex @$$ "beginner" tutorial vids out there aren't for me. This is what a noob like me need to start. Thank you!
Nah
I feel like you don't understand how PERFECT this tutorial as 😭😭
Thank you so much bro
This has been an absolutely amazing video to watch, it has really helped me to be able to model trains without having to struggle with Roblox Studio!
thank u for showing an ACTUAL BEGINNER GUIDE with the most basic tool/hotkeys. many other beginner tutorials they show how to make a model but not saying what they click on. like E, S, G, O and ctrl. so thank u so much for showing^^
This is the only tutorial my brain has been able to comprehend, thank you so much!
E HAS BEEN THE THING I WAS WAITING FOR THIS WHOLE YEAR! I THANK YOU FOR TELLING ME ABOUT IT.
Damn! I was excited to find this. I've been CAD drawing for years and this helped me so much, just to get the hang of it! Thank you!
the tutorial really helped me alot, thanks so much :) it makes me feel more confident in using blender!
Without the face select, S and E have different functions on my desktop. E simple duplicates the objects and S enlarges, shrink, or extends it on the z,x,y axis's.
Thank you I always found it so hard but now I understand more :)
Hello from the VRChat community! I have a decent bit of knowledge with old 2.79 but I'll need to upgrade eventually and this really helps to find out where all the controls were moved to.
Thank you so much. I have been trying to do something with blender and all I could do was spin around the cube cause i didn't know there were 2 modes.
Appreciate this. I took a few 3d modeling classes through fullsail. they taught maya. now out of school im not wanting to pay 1500 per year for a maya subscription so learning to transition to blender
go cheap
wtf a 1500 subscription???
@wontonsoup1711 ya its supposed to be more for people that use the program maya that make money off their models
@@isaiaharagon6499 i guess.. but more so just sounds like an excuse to for subscription service based hell to prosper.. jesus this is getting awful
@wontonsoup1711 your not wrong when blender basically does the same thing
Thank you so much. My first time ever working in 3D was with Google Sketchup and it was basically what you showed here. Now I don't feel so lost.
this taught me 20 times more stuff in a much easier to understand way and shorter amount of time than the several 20 minute + long professional blender tutorials i watched before.
Amazing! Just simply amazing!
I learned so much so fast truly great guide
Thanks a lot !!! This was very helpful . Loved the clear and simple explanation :) Keep these tutorials coming .
omg thank you for this little tutorial. im brand new to blender and this helped a lot. i could figure out how to move the cam from the initial center point and im so glad it was one of the first things you showed in the video
Thank you! This was awesome and so clean :) Helped me alot to model simple stuff for my platformer
Just subscribed. Making this a series would probably make more sense. Big thanks for the simplicity
For such a beginner like me, this one is perfect for understanding the basics! Grateful
For anyone coming to this recently the mapping for freelooking changed to change it back go to :
Edir in the top left
Preferences
Keymap
In the search bar on the top search for Navigation
You can then change the binding to whatever you like. (Shift F is what is mentioned in the video)
i love videos like these that actually teach the basics on how to use the software!! idk if its js me but like im a super visual learner and i think a handcam on the keyboard wouild be super awesome
@RoBuilder you know that you can just press “F1, F2, F3, F4” to switch between the tools.
Great tutorial! Learned really much from it and I am really thankful!
But how do you "undo" things?

Thank you so much! It’s hard to follow beginner tutorials when I don’t even know the controls lol

Sweet! Just downloaded to design DnD miniatures to 3D print. You've definitely reached outside of the Roblox-verse. Very helpful. Thank you!
Thank you so much! I am trying to make a vine to put on a cave in my game and I wanted to use blender. This is what I found when I searched on how to use blender.
Can you make a full series about this please
I have a suggestion(might be hard, but will for sure get more ppl to watch your vids):
You can put every hot key u press on the screen, so players w/o speakers can also get it
blender does that for you (shows any key u press)
This was very helpful and informative, well explained and demonstrated. Thanks very much. 👍😁😎
This helped a lot currently working on a game and this helped me a lot on how Modeling works
how is it going and what is it called
This taught me more than over 10 episodes of baking a virtual sugar torus
I’m still so confused 😢😢😢😢

excellent tutorial, just what i needed, retired and transitioning from Caligari. You are a natural and enthusiastic about what you are doing - makes my learning experience enjoyable.
one note, maybe introduce the concept of world verses object selection/command/manipulation.
I think your video has opened my eyes for getting started in blender. thanks bro, a very nice job. I hope there will be every video like this for every level of difficulty that i will come
thankyou so muchhh this is a great refresh!! just what i was looking for
Perfect! now I know the hotkeys and what I can do. Thank you so much!!!
I never usually comment on yt pages but this right here was soooo helpful like its super easy to understand and short enough to not have me click of the video.
This is by far the best tutorial I have found yet for blender thank you so much
wow a tutorial that doesnt just teach me how to make photorealistic burgers but actually teached me blender nice
im trying to make a figure and i dont understand blender anymore, so this helped me out, thank you :)
Bless you for this tutorial!! Even 2 years later, it's still super helpful.
From a complete noob who just got a computer for Christmas, thanks. This helps a lot.
