Thanks for pointing out the sand again! I always wanted the enclosure for my Hermann's tortoise to feel a bit more natural! And since I feed him on food dishes and haning stuff, it should be fine! :D Great video!
This is incredible and would easily take 1st place (again) at Snake Discovery!! I’ve got two 4x2x2 enclosures coming for my Ball Pythons and I’m going to do their backgrounds the way you both have done this one. It’s just gorgeous!!🐢❤️🐢
It would still be amazing without it, but the background makes this cage 1000 times cooler. It's so realistic and gives the illusion of a vast landscape. You guys are the masters of designing naturalistic enclosures
What a great idea to use Universal Rocks for pancake tortoises. I always have had concerns about how I might replicate their habitat using real rocks - too heavy, and I thought that they might get accidentally get crushed if the rocks shifted, etc. Could they be my next species? I sure would like them to be after watching this video. Thanks Chris and Casey!

Ac infinity makes some amazing products they have all size duct fans and nice humidifiers they all connect to a wifi controller which u can set for fans to ramp up or down depending on the temp and humidity u set it to the are meant for indoor gardening but i bet they would work great in larger enclosures
I can't wait to have a house so I can give my box turtle a giant enclosure, her space is filled with plants, a borough, and a place to swim, but it's still only 4'x2', I want to give her a space that's at least 4'x6' :)
I'm looking at that wouldn't that be a little rocky for a tortoise to safely be climbing on it because typically they flop over on their backs very easily because they don't have any flexibility of their shell.... I don't know it seems like it's a little bit too Rocky and you may be turning over the turtles a lot.....
This is what pancake tortoises require to stay healthy through being able to exhibit naturalistic behaviors. As stated in the video, they are climbers and live only in Rocky outcrops in Africa. Housing then any other way would actually be harmful to them and actually unfair. They are not to be kept like other species such as Hermann’s, hingebacks, sulcatas or red foots just to name a few.
