I have never seen such a wonderful breeding environment. Breeding means preparing and producing the environment. Perhaps you are often observing the nature of the Americas. very impressive. I keep Japanese turtles in a very small space in Japan. I like natural gardens, especially hosta, carex and ornamental glasses. Driftwood, stone arrangement, ornamental glass planting. It is full of items that create a breeding environment for turtles. I am very happy to have people who love nature even overseas！

Awesome to see you went all out for the pancake tortoise. That animal is an evolutionary Wonder. What comes to mind for me is what predator actually caused the pancake tortoise to evolve this expansion trait. Maybe Google knows.

Great outdoor enclosure! Have you completed the Indoor enclosure for them? Also how do they do on their own. I only ever see them in multiples. Will they do well by living mostly in doors?
super cool video! i’m going to do something similar for my bearded dragon. i’m sure you know what you’re doing when you placed the rocks, but it gives me so much anxiety that maybe one of those rocks can slip😭
We recently rescued a Hermann’s tortoise. He's inside now but prefers outside. We are in zone 8 and are wondering if he will be ok in this climate? Also would like to get him a friend what breeds would be safe to put him with? Any input from anyone in the comment section would be appreciated.
Great video! But my Dutchness in me has to correct the pronunciation of kopje. It’s pronounced “Kop-je”, kop like cop, but more emphasis on the beginning of the word. (True K sound) Je like “yuk” without the k.
