Can you please compare the ride quality with the 2024 tucson and the 2024 santa fe? How does it handle bumps and what is the steering like? I am looking at this very specific car coming from a 2023 santa fe hybrid
I like the previous gen...but this facelift was tastefully done. The front face is really clean (the previous DRLs look great but fewer lights is more practical). The biggest upgrade was the interior. Having what appears to be one large screen is super slick and overall, looks SIGNIFICANTLY more upscale imo. Having a volume knob is the biggest benefit imo.. Comparing this interior and the Toyota RAV4, no contest, the Hyundai's is so much nicer...it isn't close
Thanks for a great video Sean. And thanks for (sorry to say) a silent video. It allows the viewer to actually be able to hear thast the cabin in the SUV is actually quiet. Most people keep yapping in their videos & we can't get a chance to see whether the cabins are actually quiet or not. 🙂
At 5:05 you wrote that the car has a 6 speed DCT, however no such transmission exist. The 6 speed automatic is a normal torque converter type if my information is correct. Could you confirm ?
@@jasonw98 The only 6 speed DCT’s in all of Hyundais lineup are the D6GF1 from the Veloster and the D6KF1/D6F27H from the Ioniq, Niro and Kona. And that’s it. As far as I know and can research, no such transmission was ever fitted to the Tucson. Only 7 speed DCT’s or 6 speed Torque Converters. The model in the video has the classic 6 speed Torque Converter, as confirmed by OP.
Different transmissions for different markets... the Koreans are still getting some DCT, while the US market does not. Not every vehicle for every market is identical.
it's good hyundai is doing this with kia because other car companies will also start doing this, so then the non-luxury cars can get way more luxury for their prices these days
good. next time move the turning signals up, chose a dynamic LED design for them and I will buy one. and some led's insine would be nice, seems way too dark
Koreans also don't like lighting bumpers. According to Korean laws and regulations, this is possible because it passes when the distance between the ground and the light is more than 30 cm, and designers say it's because of the design. Because Koreans are picky consumers, Hyundai's full-change model is not in the bumper. The U.S. specification combines with a brake light, so it is advantageous for cost reduction as it only needs to eliminate the bumper light. Next up is Genesis lighting the bumper, turning on the GV60 and GV70 and recently facelift the GV70 and shining it back up. Same with Carnival.

The reverse beep is MANDATED BY US LAW... has nothing to do with the choice of Hyundai. Electric and Hybrid vehicles that don't make engine noise require a way to be "noticed" when backing up so as to alert nearby pedestrians. For the Tucson, this means all models except the ICE-only vehicle have that backing beep sound.
